  1. Playcalling probably more creative that way. Example - snap to Cam, he pretends to run instead he hands it off to Chubba then SHI is running a reverse. Pitch by Chubba to Shi. Touchdowns. JK. But our offense has been so vanilla. That needs to change.
  2. I see your thought process. Two things bout TB though. 1. With us he seemed to be getting acclimated back into the league after a long injury hiatus. A little rusty and gunshy. 2. Reason for being a bit shaky is partly cause our oline is dogdoodoo. The Denver oline is young and talented. Also they have a legit running game. I blame the coaches for the way they "addressed" the oline, the Darnold experiment and the lack of a committee approach to the running game. All That wheeling and dealing in the draft and I'm the only one that thought AJ Dillon and an offensive lineman would have been useful?
  3. Dude was a beast mode wr. Kinda wondered whatever happened with him. Sad.
  4. 1. Lions ~ Thibodeaux, DE / Oregon 2. Texans ~ Corrall, QB / Ol Miss 3. Jaguars ~ Neal, OL / Bama 4. Jets ~ Hutch, DL / Michigan 5. Jets ~ Green, OL / Texas A&M 6. Giants ~ Wilson, WR / Ohio St 7. Giants ~ Davis, DL / Georgia 8. Eagles ~ Hamilton, S / Notre Dame 9. Eagles ~ Karlaftis, DL / Purdue 10. Panthers ~ lots of options not doing a definitive pick here but a ranking of options A. Offensive line. Linderbaum, Cross or Ikem. B. Quarterback. Willis, Pickett or Howell. C. Trade down with another QB desperate team. Pittsburgh and Denver are two that might feel they are only a QB away. If we trade down to around 16 or 17 and gain a second it can only help with the building of the oline.
  5. I hate Sean Payton so much but I can see why he likes Hill. Dude was being very effective as a runner. I actually thought his passing that game had some moments. Kid has a fire. Yeah Hill had a finger splint and I Dare ya to throw a ball not using your middle finger. The Saints will be dangerous for us.
  6. The NFC East bout to be young and talented. The Jets could have a big turnaround in the next couple years. I like the coach. I'm skeptical of Wilson but given progression and an improved roster Zach could surprise.
  7. I hope a team gets obsessed with a QB then in desperation to acquire that top 10 pick we are able to trade down and get a 2nd round pick as well. Then double down on the oline. That is my hope.
  8. Defense is ahead of the offense. They have made some splash nice plays but half the time the offense has not turned turnovers into points. Playcalling is off. CMC seems misused, very little creativity and the oline is getting punked. Watching Baltimore vs Cleveland and Indy vs TB makes me jealous. All four of those teams have decent efficient olines with an identity. Baltimore is better at the rush and TB is built to protect Tom. That said a successful oline can do both smash mouth or pass protect when strategy dictates. I don't think our current oline can do either consistently at the time we need them to.
  9. Our defense is missing two pieces. 1. elite MLB. Like Roquan Smith or fred warner 2. Ball hawk Safety. Like a honey badger. Elite linebackers usually don't hit free agency so we will likely have to draft one. Good news is gems can be found in the later rounds. Safeties do get a chance to test free agency often and the upcoming class of free agents is stellar. The offense is being held back by inconsistency. If we can find a oline lineup that gels and add stronger depth at guard it will be improved. Obviously QB is a problem but having number 1 back gives me a flutter of hope. I always thought Cam was gonna be the one to lead us to a Championship, he may still. We need to find a QB to develop though. Not convinced this is the year to do so though. So some Fitterer magic in free agency and some luck the off season will be another step in the right direction. Fingers crossed.
  10. Add a ball hawking free safety to this secondary and I think we have potential to be the best in the league. CJ has potential. Too early to know if this trade was a mistake. I agree that 3rd would have been useful for the upcoming draft but... This defense could be special. Missing pieces resigning gilmore and Dante ( if possible) ball hawk free safety and a legit new school elite athlete at MLB. You know the type of MLB I'm talking bout a Devin Bush, Micah Parsons, etc.
  11. Too bad he won't try to dent his dome with a helmet.
  12. Heinke been playing decent behind that line. Washington problem may just be coaching ( looking at you Ron) and a underperforming defensive line.
  13. This. ☝ Immobile slow QB behind a declining line. Burns will get his revenge. Mac will get his cause he is not Tom Brady he will not get the calls golden boy got. Trust me other defensive players took note. Open season on Mac.
  14. Qb's that Tackle I respect. Punks that twist ankles I call it like I see it. If he was squared up in the open field and tried to tackle Burns ( lol) then much props. The hit that sent Sam into concuss protocol was football and I respect him for it. This Big Mac laying on his back trying to play MMA is bitch ass b.s..
  15. Bama. So yeah. I'm reacting emotionally so forgive me. F that dude. I never wanted him as my QB. Fact is we all kinda knew Sam was not the answer either but was hyped as the best thing since bread was sliced not too many years ago so.... Potential.
  16. Yeah, yeah Sam is not that good. Brady is not as good as advertised. We are not likely to get a wildcard. But all yall on Mac's jock wishing we had got him can shut up. I learned all I need to know bout that chubby pos this past Sunday.
  17. This guy was living in a parallel universe last season. TB had no clutch in him. Nothing I saw here in my universe last season from 2 gloves has me wishing he was still here.
  18. Yep. And everybody knew he was a Head case but he is talented and was giving their QB a weapon. Baker has been given every opportunity to do well in Cleveland and he still sux. Give the current scapegoat (Sam) Cleveland's oline or Dallas's oline and y'all be on his jock. Cooper Rush performed for Dallas and D'Ernest Jones looked like a star recently and common equation is they value and build top 5 offensive lines.
  19. Meh. Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb Jedrick Willis, Jake Conklin, and Wyatt Teller are also better than Chubba, a benchwarming CMC, and whatever rejects we trot out there and call a oline.
  20. Where's the lie? Baker has had an elite running game, a solid oline, ODB Jr( yeah I know but dude was considered elite only three years ago) and Jarvis Landry is the ultimate QB security blanket. Annd he is average at best with all those tools at his disposal.
  21. Ok. Let me explain it. A rushed pass is not usually a accurate pass. Cam overthrew bout 80 percent of his passes until his shoulder went south then he underthrew The same percentage. The receivers were expected to make the play. The oline is a issue. Watch Cooper Rush tonight. Dude has spent a lot of time on the pine but will likely make some plays cause the Dallas oline is solid. There is no need for a scapegoat. The team has had injury and continuity issues for weeks.
  22. A lot of "great" qb's have been helped by player making plays. Our guys need to step up. Qbs ask of receivers. It's a thing. Not excusing Sam's shortcomings but when your oline is giving you sub 2 seconds to make that play and your receivers are not going up to get it (tremble) or not holding on to the ball ( moore) or in the case of Robby showing up everyday then.....
  23. The all defense draft has shown promise. So a similar plan in 2022 is what I propose. The focus needs to be a oline rebuild. Ok in free agency we cut loose the flotsam jetsam. Bye bye Paradis. Targeting a center and guard in free agency. The good news is there will be some options. Wyatt Teller and Mason Cole are two of my favorites. Teller is the prize. Throw money at him. Place him at RG. Mason Cole is not as big a prize but could be serviceable at center. In the draft ( a strong one for our needs) we look for either a center better than Cole or finally find a Left Tackle. For the sake of this experiment we are gonna say we picking 14th and concentrating on LT in the first. 14. Charles Cross, OT Miss St 104. Zion Johnson, OL Boston College Fitterer magic. 158 and 194 paired to move up to 133. 133. Isiah Likely, TE Coastal Carolina 147. Keoatay Ingram, RB USC 194. James Empey, OC BYU 208. Emory Jones, QB Florida 246. Bo Melton, WR Rutgers This is just a for instance. I will say the talent in North Carolina colleges alone this year give us an advantage cause of our proximity. Check out this oline. Cross - Zion - Cole - Teller - Moton Backups BC, Brown, Empey etc.
  24. Our line is so bad we really can't get it wrong whether we draft interior or tackle. I wish we had Andrew Thomas, McGlinchey, or Sewell. They are all young and have upside. Erving has hit his ceiling years ago and is regressing. Paradis is serviceable but not much else. I agree with op to a point see first line of post. But the focus should be on tackle and center.
  25. Those are some really good players in that chart. I don't know which your calling busts but I would take most of those tackles over Cam Erving. I agree though best olineman is better than getting hung up on particular position.
