  1. Build for the future and prepare. A young Center still needs to be part of the plan.
  2. Man plays the run better than Burns could ever dream of. He is a dawg. Might take a play off occasionally but if we got wonnum, chaison and barno he can. And no I doubt DJ Johnson will ever work out but.... If he can put it together.
  3. Same. Corbett at Center is a big question mark. Horn playing up to his draft status and staying healthy is also one. So center and corner trumps edge at this point. 33 and 39 need to be a WR, Corner or Center. I like Kneeland and Adisa at edge but starting to lean towards whichever WR catches our fancy or a corner. Developmental center might be available later. Van Prann is my hope but have a feeling he will go before 65. Sleepers like McCormick and Limmer are options but using the 101 on a Center worries me. Less fear bout scooping up a RB, TE or WR there. I think one of those top picks will be a WR though so a top tier Corner is more important at 33 or 39. I've seen DeJean slide to 33 in mocks. I don't know but I have some hope in this draft.
  4. Are we done with edge? We could be. Wonnum and Chaison are being underrated on here. New management did exactly what I suggested to replace Burns. Give me two to three guys in place of Burns. I personally think Barno can contribute too. I don't see edge as big a priority as corner, wr or center now. Obviously BPA but all things considered 2nd tier CB vs 2nd tier Edge im taking corner.
  5. In hind sight Levis was a play. No trade up wait for this year or stay put and take Levis. Hell we could have had a Jake Locker for peanuts and still draft a guy this year. Maybe it will all work out.
  6. That said I like Milton or Hartman as later picks but would rather go just about any position but QB.
  7. Rather have a late round pick used on a RB or WR. The disgruntled huddle contingent just wants a young QB to say " such and such is better than Bryce".
  8. Trimmed the fat and added some beef. Strengthened the interior line and also gave Brown a partner in crime. Could we see a Center and NT with our first two picks? An advocate of building a team from the inside out can dream. Barton and Sweat would be the most unsexy top picks ever but... for me, be still my heart. I give us a B-
  9. Center. Barton, Frazier, Van Prann, Zinter, Limmer, etc. We need a young guy to develop there. I'm not trusting moving Corbett or BC there. I agree with your assessment though. I'd like to add one in draft and look at UDFA too.
  10. I agree. Still want to add Theo Johnson or Wiley in draft but Tremble needs his opportunities.
  11. Barton or Van Pran to play center. Payton Wilson, Sweat at NT, Theo Johnson or Wiley at TE, all in on the Jalen's McMillan and Coker. Then at RB I like the combine wunderkind Eddie, Lloyd or the Notre Dame Bruiser. At edge Kneeland. Gotta do some research on CB and Safety. Those are my wish list. Add Robinson if he falls out of 1st. Move the other Robinson to nose. Brown and the Robinsons could be a nasty front 3. But also Brown, Sweat and Robinson would be nice. These are the names I want called.
  12. Barton playing Center. Sweat at NT with Robinson and Brown at DE. Kneeland playing edge. Wilson doing ILB alongside Shaq and Josey and special teams. Later rounds is where WR, RB and TE are targets.
  13. Mike Williams is crazy inconsistent. I've had him in fantasy and he is frustrating. After adding Johnson and resigning Smith Marsette WR has slipped in priority. 33 or 39 are likely earmarked for WR and I also like the options later like a Coker, Baker, Rice, McMillan etc.
  14. Josey is a decent Linebacker. I feel this was a plan B after Queen fell through.
  15. Twist of fate. The Panthers finally care about oline but gut the defense in process. Center is an issue. We gonna need edge, NT, corner and safety help too. Jeez. Don't forget to add the playmakers. We need like 6 starters and have 3 lottery darts in draft.
  16. Y'all are exhausting. Gonna break it down in simple Jack terms for ya. Burns not worth the $$$ he want. Burns no want to play here anymore. Team needs picks. I for one am glad they gave a guard the contract Burns should have taken if he was smart. It sends a message. If your not smart it means we don't mind paying but you can't put yourself over the team.
  17. In the draft. I wonder what that RB class will look like in the fourth round. It's deep this year and no 1st or 2nd round premier players. The run starts in the third I think and someone will be there at top of the 4th that can help. Center and WR have become the premium spots for us. Id like to see tight end or RB in the fourth.
  18. Nah. Huff should be the target. Even if by some miracle we keep Burns, Luvu and Brown adding another pass rusher is more important than adding Barkley. The good news is this is not like recent drafts where smaller scat type backs are the flavor. This year has a bunch of Barkley clones. BIG, freakish fast and decent receiving skills. Draft a younger and cheaper potential Barkley.
  19. In this draft we also trade Burns to the Lions for the 29th pick along with future picks. At 29 we take Worthy. Then we rebuild the interior with Coop and Van Prann. Add Thrash to go along with Worthy. Later rounds we take RB and TE. Revamped offense.
  20. I like his WR partner Johnny Wilson a bit more. Wilson is a unicorn. 6'7" running a 4.5 at 225. He might be a reach at 33 and I have doubts he is going to last till 65. So.. that's a conundrum. That said if we trade out of 33 but stay in that top 50 he is my target over even Keon.
  21. Versatility is going to make him valuable. Would be a great pick for us. Him and Cooper are the top guards. Much like Jackson-Powers he might be a 1at round target for someone needing interior line help.
  22. Yet another player moving into a better position in the draft through the process. Fact is we are better served to find the diamonds that were later rounders that have had similar accessions. Just not rising out of reach but into contesting for that mid tier. Guys like Malik Washington, Thrash, McMillan, and Coker are our targets. Too many WR's are going to go in the first for us to get the pick of the litter. How many is a litter? I could see 6 to 7 WR's go in the first.
  23. Evans was never a option here. Why would he? Money? Are there not a half dozen other teams with similar or better free agency money? I don't care honestly. Evans is due for a slump. Heck we were able on several occasions to shut him down to mediocre stats in recent memory. He is a decent player but the timeline doesn't match up. He is looking for a ring and padding his stats. KC, Jets or Baltimore make way more sense. Our hope is to find a mid tier FA that needs a change of scenery and add youth in the draft. Evans, Higgins, etc are dreaming. Smith-Marsette, Mingo, and AT are the guys here and hopefully a double dip in the draft with a mid tier FA. Three new WR's to the mix is the goal. Evans is highly unlikely to be one of them.
