  1. We're doing carry-on only, and we already have a car reserved through Turo (essentially Airbnb for cars) about 10 minutes from the airport. So, it's just a matter of getting an Uber to the car pick-up. Wasting no time! And exhausted is just a part of reality now . Thanks! Of the three, did you personally have a preference? I heard enough words of wisdom to stay clear of Durham. And where'd you end up moving to if you don't mind me asking. Thanks again!
  2. Us both being able to allocate the time with a 1 year old and a 3 year old at home isn't much of an option, so we need to make the most of it while we're there. How long would you expect the drive to take on a Friday morning from Charlotte to Raleigh? I'm going based off Google, which says departing Charlotte at 8:45 AM on Friday shouldn't take more than 3 hours, based on traffic.
  3. As much as I'd love to, that's one less stop in the Research Triangle for the visit. Otherwise, I would absolutely go! But that's something I'll remember for when we do move down there since there's a strong chance we'll be going back and forth to Charlotte up to 8+ times a year
  4. If not the bathroom stall, then where? Cam's back and I'm expected to keep it in my pants? /s
  5. I'm a Tarheel fan through and through. So that's definitely something we'll definitely check out at some point (not during this trip). But this trip is to check out neighborhoods, everyday stuff / less touristy. We're not big city people. We wouldn't want to live in one, but we'd enjoy doing things in the city, if that makes sense. This was much more helpful, thank you.
  6. A little bit of background. I live in Pennsylvania, and I haven't been able to make it down to Charlotte since the 2003 season for a game. I've been to plenty up here (Jets, Giants, Eagles), but it's been tough to make the trip. My wife & I have been planning to get down to the Research Triangle sometime this fall to scout the area & maybe check out a game, as we're fairly sure we'll be moving there in the next year or so. The plan was November 7th to see Cam (and the Pats) vs the Panthers. Circumstances prevented that date from working out (mother-in-law had something come up), so that date fell through. Only other feasible game we could make the trip for was the Washington game & Rivera's return. Not a bad consolation prize. Welp, discussions to make the trip for the November 21st game / weekend started to pick up. Mother-in-law is available to babysit (we have a 1 & 3 year old), so we just needed to figure out the logistics. Thursday morning rolled around, and we all know what happened. The second that signing was done, I was already checking out on Ticketmaster (wanted to beat the inflation). Flights & transportation were taken care of that night. So, the agenda is as follows: Fly to Charlotte Friday (arrive at 8:15 AM), pick up rental car and drive over the Raleigh and be there by noon. Friday + Saturday = Get our fill of Raleigh & the surrounding areas as much as humanly possible. Drive to Charlotte Saturday night. Sunday: Morning = TBD Afternoon = Game Evening = TBD, return car, flight to return home at 9 PM (Options were 4:50 PM or 9 PM flight) Seats: Section 133, Row 3 TLDR: Stars aligned, going to my first game in Charlotte in 18 years. What do you recommend doing / checking out on gameday? Before the game? Tailgating spots? Stadium stuff, etc? Plus, after game suggestions are great. Bonus points: If you have any suggestions on things / areas to check out in the research triangle as we're not 100% settled on where we want to move within it. Trails, restaurants, breakfast places, neighborhoods, etc. Thanks to anybody who can lend some advice and help us get the most out of this trip as possible. And without further ado, KEEP POUDING!
  7. Ohhh, now I remember what ALT + F4 does
  8. Gotcha. I didn't catch the sarcasm. My bad! But yet, I still feel ya.
  9. Utilize the ignore posters option (hover over their profile picture). It goes a LONG way in making the place more enjoyable.
  10. Never knew about the clear cache shortcut, so thank you for that! And I've had the not posting issue in the past as well, but working fine from my phone. Cleared my cache, cookies, etc. and worked fine after. So hopefully the ALT + F4 method does the trick.
  11. Ditto, and that's a total 180 from how I felt when they were all brought in. But I do have some now. Or at least more than I had before bringing Cam back.
  12. If we lose, I hope it's 28-3. That way, at least even in a win, Falcon fans can be reminded that they suck.
  13. With Rivera, you know what you're getting. We need somebody with a higher ceiling and consistency. Not happy with the coaching staff this season so far, but I would rather try something else than revert back to Rivera. No different than going back to Hurney. Who would do that...
  14. Too many with unrealistic expectations after that 3-0 start vs fairly weak competition. They're still NFL games, and there's no such thing as an easy win, but some people need to step back and remember how much of an overhaul we're going through. This isn't a quick patch-job / vets like we've seen catch lightning in a bottle with a few times in the past. This is complete gutting of the roster and coaching staff. A youth movement where many players have MINIMAL experience, as well as the coaching staff at the NFL level. Not saying it'll work out or not, but 1.3 seasons into a complete rebuild, I'm not discouraged, but I also didn't expect us to consistently compete until year 3. Mistakes are being made, and I want to see the team & staff learn from them. But the fight is there. They're competing and making games out of situations we shouldn't be close.
  15. Thanks all. I was due for a new profile pic!
  16. Maybe they watched the tape and noticed he blinked. Because that's how quickly the pass rush got to him. Easy to miss it if you blink.
  17. Isn't Joey Slye on the 49ers now? Or did they cut him already?
  18. There are a lot more pieces in place in 2022 than last year. But the Offensive Line is the clear achilles hill right now on the Offensive side of the ball. Chuba has looked solid filling in for McCaffrey. Tight End has improved. DJ Moore is still great. Robby has looked like crap and I had higher hopes that Terrace would have more production early on, but WR is a tough transition from College to Pro. Defense has clearly improved. Offense - the talent is still there. Enough to see more production than we have (we can't say that about Defenses in years past). But that line....
  19. I would have loved to have Slater. And even moreso as the season goes on and seeing how well he's performed. However, if we had him, the interior Offensive Line wouldn't be much different. So it wouldn't have been the immediate saving grace that many here think. Most moves. I am of the assumption that most moves being made were still for 2022 and beyond. So I'll continue to reserve judgement until then, as hard as it may be. 2020 = Complete strip of the team / rebuild 2021 = See improvement and fill in some gaps 2022 = Patch the rest of the holes possible + compete We're still in a good position to meet my expectations / hopes. We were not revamping the whole roster in two seasons. And most of the moves being made reflect that.
  20. Gonna just go ahead a file this one with all the other tin foil hats.
