Why is it that some of you huddlers are fixated on..
GoobyPls replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
40 times are overrated, but speed isn't. Outside of the o-line our biggest problem was not having someone who can get deep. -
Any chance we trade up in the second to draft him? He out played every receiver in the senior bowl that includes Devin Smith, people don't understand he's not just a one trick pony his route running skills are way ahead of any of these receivers coming from spread offenses.
-
4.25 40 is his norm, rumor has it he's ran 4.19 before. He's the deep threat we've been missing
-
I wouldn't mind Greene as long if we draft up a deep threat also. Ginn is not a reliable deep threat, so don't even mention him as a rebuttal.

If it came down to Peat or Perriman....
GoobyPls replied to MedellinHeel's topic in Carolina Panthers
Knowing our history I already know we won't pick him, even if he's there in the second round -

I would take DGB over every receiver in this draft not named Amari Cooper, lord help us if we pass on him and he lives up to his potential. -
Maine's 2015 Mock Draft (Comp. Picks Included)
GoobyPls replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't be the only not sold on Parker? He reminds me of a skinnier shorter Kelvin. And after what happen with Codarelle Patterson I'm sacred of Perriman. I would love DGB in Carolina, but I know that's a pipe dream -
That bully comment hit a nerve?
-
Yes I'm stupid for not wanting one of the worst OT in football on my team. All I know I don't want to see a single thread or post complaining about him, when he gets Cam sacked. Cause I'm going to be there telling you I TOLD YOU SO
-
Yet everything I said was fact Let me guess you were a so called bully victim before.
-
With that logic might as well sign the worst FA possible, I know he will have supporters in here.
-
I'm from Miami so I saw him play quite often, and go to the Johnathan Martin thread in the niners forum if you want to see how inept he was in SF. I don't like the guy cause he's a cheap pick up for the panthers and he's a slight upgrade over another terrible tackle? No I don't like the signing cause he's just plain bad at his job.
-
I'm pretty sure we are still paying him. And I'm not against him cause he was bullied I'm against him cause he sucks, every time I saw him play he sucked, why would I want someone whose terrible at his position on the team? Incognito is indeed a grade A ahole, but if you go through the text you can see what kind of person Martin really is.
-
I don't mind the Oher, but I would have never signed Martin. Not only is he as bad as Bell but he's also a cry baby that alienated his teammates. I'm already bracing myself for another bad season by the line. All I know is Cam better not take the fault this time around.
-
Like I said your replacing dog crap with cat crap, and I understand it cause we have no cap space But please don't start trying to hype these guys up like they are something special, don't tell me to be excited about signings two guys who have played crap the last two seasons.
-
Lol comparing Oher and Martin to Elway and Plunkett, can you reach any harder? Just cause Plunkett won 2 SB doesn't make him good, Dilfer has a SB why don't you use him as a measuring stick also. Elway was always great, he dragged 3 terrible teams to the SB. If Bell never improved what makes you think Oher and Martin can? do we have some big magical secret that other teams don't?
-
Laying out a plan? I told it like it is, get your head out of your a** both of them are terrible tackles. If you can't except that might as well not even watch football.
-
Have you ever that saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks, well Martin and Oher are those old dogs. I've seen Martin since his Miami days, the oline got better the minute he left. Then he goes to SF with his former coach and still is complete garbage not even the gullible niners fans like him, they have a thread dedicated to him and its endless pages of bashing. Oher has been trash for 3 straight season sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade. Tennessee line was garbage and he was there worst starter. Last season towards the end of the season our line did improve but it was marginal at best, what really happened was that the running game got going and we went no huddle. John Lynch (I believe)said it best when are line was forced into passing situations they folded like a cheap lawn chair, this line we have now isn't meant for comebacks or shootouts of any kind.

The PFF guys know as much football as the above average fan, there ratings and grade system makes no sense. Imo this is a we are desperate, have no money, he's cheap, hoping for the best, no reward signing.
-
First off PFF is an inaccurate website And if he did grade out better than Bell it isn't saying much. Your basically replacing dog s**t with cat s**t. I'm hoping for the best though cause between Oher and Martin Cam is in for another rough season.
-
With saying "what other options did we have" your basically implying this team really hasn't improved that much. And if we haven't improved why should I be excited for?
-
what does it matter what I would have done?
-
Sorry I'm not excited about signing a bunch of castoffs. If our WR corp and o-line did improve, it was marginally at best. As it stands now we are basically the same team as last year offensively speaking.
-
This is what happens when our best off seasons signing are a 4th string WR, a 5th string WR and an OT that's on his 3rd team in 3 years. slow off-season We need to hit a HR with all of our offensive draft picks this year, cause as it stands right now we are still stuck in the purgatory of mediocre offenses.
-
He was garbage in Miami, got even worst in SF. Hopefully he never gets a snap. Martin is so bad he isn't even thread worthy
