Judging by the comments in this thread I'm positive half you didn't want to draft Cam.
-
Of course you don't care cause it proves my point. I tried finding at least one article, scouting report or a mock draft that said OBJ was a better prospect than Watkins, I couldn't. Game film showed me Watkins was pretty much a first round pick since he was a true freshman. Your really using QBR to back up your statement???? Orton is a journeyman, Eli is on pace to throw for 350 td and 50k yards, which is HOF material. Eli is also making a living of making receivers look better than what they really are. Name one QB inducted into the hall of fame that has zero pro bowl appearances

http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2014swatkins.php (compare his scouting report with OBJ, not even close) http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2014obeckham.php SSI wrote an article saying how Watkins can revolutionize the wide receiver position. Watkins was the number 1 consensus offensive player in the draft, Watkins was the number 1 WR in almost every draft board, Watkins was actually drafted ahead of Beckham but apparently he wasn't a better prospect. Beckham wasn't even the best route runner at LSU much less the entire draft. Orton and Manuel combined don't make up half the QB Eli is. And yes their is such a stat as interception per target which doesn't favor OBJ. And pro bowls do matter believe it or not. Also what happen to Smith, Manningham, Nicks, Boss and Shockey once they left Eli? It's not a coincidence they all pretty much became irrelevant without Eli.

That's nice maybe you should become a scout yourself
-
No response? thought so

Did you even watch Watkins at Clemson? His route running and explosiveness was second to none, Beckham was no where near the finished product Watkins was. Watkins was the bills number 1 since training camp, he had no Cruz to take pressure off him. And Eli did force feed him he led all rookie if not all receivers period in targets per game, he almost led the league in interceptions when targeted. And yes Eli is a probowl QB, whose a 2 time SB MVP. Have you taken a look at all the receivers that leave Eli? They basically become irrelevant. It's nice to be captain hindsight huh?
-
If DGB Is available and we pass him....smh
-
Except he was that's why every analyst had him ranked higher, and that's also why he was drafted ahead of every other receiver. Lol Beckham had a pro bowl QB, whose known for force feeding receivers. Evans wasn't even the number 1 option on his team
-
More explosive, faster, better at yac, route running, hands just as good, taller, bigger, stronger. Let me not even start breaking down rookie seasons, cause Watkins was stuck in the worst situation out of any of the first round receivers.
-
Or maybe because Watkins was just a better prospect. Beckham had a better rookie season, good for him.
-
Except for the fact that he wasn't the number 1 prospect, if he was Watkins and Evans wouldn't have been drafted ahead of him.
-
No he wasn't, Beckham couldn't even out perform his own teammate at LSU.
-
Beckham was not a better prospect than Watkins. White isn't better than Cooper.

Only on the huddle is Wilson a game manager that doesn't deserve a big contract. People around here sure devalue QBs. If Seattle doesn't pay Wilson, some other teams sure as hell will, put Wilson on the jets, bills or Texans and they all becomes playoff teams if not superbowl contenders. And the same would happen with Cam.
-
My eyes told me Crabtree has never played with a QB of Cam's caliber and Kaepernick was holding him back.
-
Are you sure it had nothing to do with the QB that was throwing to him? I mean Lloyd, Johnson, Davis, all had bad seasons last year.
-
If Gettleman would have signed him you would have been singing his praises. Crabtree was two seasons removed from an 1000 yard season with Smith and Kaep as his QBs, Jennings is 4 years removed from his last 1000 yard season. I'll I'm saying is he would have been a better signing.
-
3 million is a lot for a number 2???
-
I would take him over Jennings at this point.

You can make the case TB roster is more talented than ours Difference is we have a good QB and coach

Update: Charles Tillman signed by Panthers (official)

Lets just hope we don't use him on the outside, between him and Harper we might have the slowest secondary. -
My favorite WR's options after the 1st round..
