He was there one year and once he left Norv went with Tolbert You specifically said "You want a high scoring offense, you should absolutely positively 100% be on board with having a traditional fullback . Back tracking much? Go ahead and look up the top 5 offenses from 2014 how much of them used a traditional FB on a regular basis? Most those teams barely even run.

    If our offense is Coryell then we a doing a terrible job at it. Our QB runs more any Coryell QB in nfl history and we were one of the worst teams in big plays last season.

    Lorenzo Neal left once Turner arrived..... Chargers were playing Marty ball when Neal was there. Every high scoring offense doesn't use FB point noted.

    Norv had Tolbert almost his entire tenure in SD, he's traditional now? That's just a flat out lie, teams like the Packers, Eagles, Colts, Broncos barely even use fullbacks mush less traditional ones. Kuhn is the only FB I can think of that plays in a high scoring offense. The patriots just one a SB and they barely even use two back sets. The game has evolved pass the traditional FB

    You said goal line specifically, I know our red zone offense struggled but a lot had to do with questionable play call and lack of depth, we just drafted Funchess to help in the redzone

    What goal line situations? Cam is almost automatic within 3 yards, and we have Tolbert and Stewart also Adding a FB that's barely gonna get snaps seems like a waste of a roster spot.

    Too bad our offense is almost nothing like the Air Coryell. And who were these so called tall receivers when Neal was there? cause Floyd and Jackson arrived after he left and Turner doesn't like using FB

    A traditional FB serves no purpose in our offense last year when our offense was clicking we went no huddle off the shotgun.

    How can anyone fairly evaluate Cam as a passer when he's never even had a decent supporting cast outside of his rookie season

    ​We are talking about WIDE RECEIVER not TE. Cotchery was the worst number 2 WR in the entire NFL, the lack of production we got form anyone outside of KB was laughable compared with other teams receivers. Bersin and Philly are limited and probably wouldn't even have a roster spot on other teams, Ginn just got beat out by a rookie last year. I'm calling a spade a spade

    ​DeAndre Presley was signed even later than Hill, wasn't a WR in college, didn't participate any off season and beat him out for a roster spot when needed. I heard funny story about Hill, rumor has it the jets knew we has terrible 2 weeks into OTA, apparently the UDFA rookies were out performing in practice, jets kept him on the roster not to look like complete fools for drafting him.

    ​Meh 5'10 180 pound whose more quick than fast at best he's Welker/Edelman, but those guys stayed healthy and played in a offense that's perfect for them. Bersin won't probably see the field next year (no injuries). Hill couldn't beat out Webb last season and the QB from Appalachian State, IDC if the panthers had no intention, they also had no intention of Bersin and Philly starting, when your needed and cant beat out former QB's that's saying something. Just cause these guys play for the panthers doesn't make them automatically good.

    ​Nobody wanted Cotchery outside of us and the Steelers who wanted him at less than 1 mill a year. Hill couldn't beat out a QB in the practice squad. Bersin and Philly are two UDFA with limited potential and even with them starting our offense still struggled last season. I don't hate them I just don't they're really that good. Why do you ask? You think they're something special?

    People in here arguing about Hill, Bersin, Cotchery and Philly LMAO, I wonder if any of them would even be in NFL rosters if it wasn't for the panthers. Here's hoping Kelvin, Funchess, Olsen and Ginn are enough for the passing game to be successful

    ​in just 4 years I'm willing to bet Cam has taken more hits than Ryan has in his entire career. and if you look at sacks per passing attempts, Cam is destroying Ryan in that category. just give it up Cam has had less help in every facet of the game yet he accounts for more of our offense than Ryan does for the falcons

    ​What happen 13&14? Matt Ryan = Matthew Stafford. Any QB can put up big numbers with the weapons Ryan has had, and yet Ryan only puts up big numbers vs bad defenses and in garbage time.

    ​Ryan never lead, the NFL in yards, td, passer rating or completion% so no he he has never put up elite numbers. Ryan has had an arsenal of weapons better than any QB in the league and not even one all pro team. if you look at his stats the last two seasons they come in either garbage time or vs terrible defenses. Mean while last season alone Cam sat out 4 4th Q and missed 2 games.

    Every falcons fan knows Cam is better, Cam has had a terrible supporting cast almost his entire career, give him Julio and Roddy and his numbers would be crazy. Ryan has had every thing handed to him on a silver platter and he still can't make the playoffs or put up elite numbers.

    Why are people bringing up Russell Wilson? With that same logic I could say Draft Cam 1, Cobb in the 2nd, Houston in the 3rd, Cameron in the 4th and Sherman in the 5th.
