Yep and he are ahead of them. Two of the most connected people in the league has us (Breer and King) taking Fields, people inside our organization think Fields is a generation talent And Vegas had us tied for favorites We get it you want an o-linemen, you like Darnold, but sorry to break it to you as of right now all the signs are pointing to Fields.

After the Teddy trade I think we are the clear favorites.

Rhule has become the king of coach speak when it comes to QB. First it was he was excited to play with Cam, then Will Grier being the most pro ready QB ever, followed by Teddy now Sam. All I know is that Darnold was plan F after not signing Trubisky or Haskins or being able to trade for Stanford or Watson.

If it was up to Simms Field wouldn’t even go on the first round. Trubisky has good physical tools

Patriots have talked to the Panthers about a draft day trade
GoobyPls replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why would the patriots trade up to 8 before the draft? Makes no sense. Might as well wait till Thursday Also Gilmore coming off injury with that cap hit. Fug no -
He is not trolling, he really believes this. He’s has compared Fields with Trubisky in terms of processing reads

He’s actually been the most accurate NFL analyst these past two seasons when it comes to mock drafts, for whatever that’s worth. He only makes one mock draft FYI https://sports.nbcsports.com/2021/04/26/peter-kings-final-2021-nfl-mock-draft/

Panthers 2020 Offensive Line Ranked 18th of 32
GoobyPls replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nobody has a hard time understanding pff. I already stated the Dolphins, Bengals and Giants are the only line line that are truly worse than ours , the rest are comparable or interchangeable. Theirs a stat out there that says Darnold had more time to throw than Teddy yet according to pff the Jets line is was much worse than ours. So there are stats contradicting themselves right there -
Panthers 2020 Offensive Line Ranked 18th of 32
GoobyPls replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's my point they are ranking them, but the lines between 15-28 are interchangeable, Our line from a pass blocking pov was bad. If they were any good or even average like this ranking states we wouldn't have cut the majority of them. The only line I can confidently say were worse than ours are the Dolphins, Bengals and Giants, everybody else is a crapshoot. And I don't even trust their rankings to begin with, how was our line in 2015 that used more max protection than every team in the league ranked second? a good o-line doesn't need to sacrifice receivers for extra blockers. -

It called watching your teams game. And no I never use PFF as a legit source, go through my post history. Didn’t someone post some stat showing Darnold gets more time to throw than Teddy. I think Greg Cosell put it best the majority of O-line play in today’s nfl is poor, the difference between the 15th ranked line and the 29th ranked line is so minuscule theirs no point and even ranking them. -

PFF is the end all be all for o-line rankings? From a run blocking stand point I think he had a top 10 line, from a pass blocking stand point it was bottom 10. We haven’t a good pass blocking line since Cam’s rookie season imo -
Colin Cowherd: Matt Kalil and Sam Darnold

2 USC homers hyping up a USC QB. -
Notice how almost every fanbase not picking a QB wants their team to trade down lol
-
Darnold, any WR, any LB

You haven’t gave me a single strand of evidence to back up your claims, not only that you clearly avoid all the topics you know are lost causes. Aka the rest of the OSU QBs im the only one posting link after link, but you have your mind set already

Has the verge guy gotten a single prediction right?

Like I already stated it almost impossible to find the real gap in the small schools, but that’s not the argument I’m making. Your the one saying it so go ahead and find me the talent gap. You mean the same Texas A&M that finished 9-1 only losing to Alabama with same exact score as Ohio State? That Tamu? Lol The recruiting ranking aren’t the end all be all but they are by far the most important thing. Go look at the last decade of national champions. Only two teams were outside the 10 (#13 Clemson with Watson) (#16 Auburn with Cam) two of the best CFB players ever. So yeah it matters. Again I’m sure the QB who just got cut and there threw for 50 TD before Fields also had a small gap and tough schedule or the UDFA who had over 40 TD must’ve been in hell carrying all those scrubs, or the current WR with 38 TD. Seems like theirs a trend of OSU QBs lighting up the big 10. Go look at the QBs stats over the last 8-10 years, only Oklahoma QBs have had it easier. If you really believe Fields faced the toughest competition idk what to tell you all the numbers say the exact opposite

And I posted many links proving they had the biggest gap in talent in the entire country.
