  1. "People who want this term are <term from the investment world and the kind of person poo heads like tepper imagine themselves to be>" hmmm wonder who the source here is
  2. funny how the framing on this is what the organization needs to do to "help" bryce, like the panthers failed him somehow gotta keep those alabama fans engaged
  3. I’ve seen him start with the slow backpedal then switch to a traditional drop back. It’s almost like he’s trying to buy time for routes to develop. then He gets killed or throws a wounded duck
  4. Lmao white knighting tepper at this moment in time, knowing everything you know. “sometimes you gotta make the worst trade in nfl history if you wanna be competitive. Guys a tier 1 financial operator the rest of you wouldn’t understand.”
  5. Tepper really showing what he thinks of the fan base by admitting this. Either that or he’s completely oblivious. id take this to the grave.
  6. I mean it’s also just like the crowd and vibe. you’re comparing it to a stadium that’s a ten minute walk from broadway. when you want your fam base coming straight from church, your “game day experience” is going to reflect that. tepper is way different from Richardson. Jerry was an old school rich southern racist. He cultivated what he thought an nfl game in the Carolinas should be. Tepper is just a bland corporatist. He’s going to hide behind a bunch of useless corpo speak and focus tested “solutions.” Panthers game are the nfl equivalent of panera. It’s what you get with a building full of managers terrified of upsetting the boss.
  7. Richardson literally called and begged luck to declare, then told cam not to get tattoos.
  8. BoB's entire head coaching career is thanks to Tom Brady or cleaning up sex crimes. He is absolutely not the direction this team needs to go, and he likely wouldn't accept a coordinator position.
  9. No one is talking about his intellect. And there's another QB down in houston who has something to say about his "test scores."
  10. anyone complaining about the halftime shows seem to have forgotten the Jazzercise dance performances from the early 2000s. Just miserable football broken up by 500 Karens stumbling around the field with pom poms to like the spice girls it was god awful
  11. This blurb about Aidan O'Connell caught my eye https://www.raidersbeat.com/respected-qb-coach-once-said-aidan-oconnell-is-the-most-accurate-quarterback-he-has-ever-coached/ On one hand you can believe that Bryce never had to learn how to adjust protections because he never had to do it at Alabama. But if he's so cerebral and understands the defenses (lol I know just humor me) why would he need experience with that? Moving offensive linemen around should be easy if you know what the protections are and where defenders are blitzing from. Yes playcalling bad, yes bad scheme sure. But we saw Bryce given a much freer hand earlier in the season with making adjustments and playcalls. He sucked at it. He frequently checked into nothing productive, or got sacked, or got a delay of game/had to use a timeout. They took away his ability to make those calls. We know that Alabama is powerful in the sports media. We know Saban likes to get his players drafted in the first because it's a good recruitment tool. We know that the media will slobber all over Alabama QBs regardless of their talent (see Mac Jones' rookie year) or onfield behavior (Burns ankle). We've seen all announcers, including college guy Herbstreit, constantly go back to his processing, saying he has to move faster, and being shocked at the difference between Bryce in college and now. So what if it's all just bullshit? What if Bryce was an okay QB in a stacked offense? What if all this point guard nonsense was just a media narrative that benefited a powerful program/coach? Would certainly explain why Reich is looking like someone is pointing a gun at his family's head behind camera in every shot he's in. And if this was all just a media narrative to fill air space during broadcasts, it's no surprise Tepper's dumb ass fell for it. I'm sure the usual cohort of low tier posters are going to post the first tinfoil hat picture they can google, but at this point I'm starting to think it might be true. Bryce looks like he has no goddamn idea what's happening out there, or what the defense is doing, or where his receivers are going. Those two picks to Bates against Atlanta? Did the same poo against the Bears, they were just dropped. I dunno guys. Think we got less of a Tyrion and more of a Dopey.
  12. He was just new money. He wanted to ingratiate himself in league circles and the Rooneys let him and used his cash. I can’t imagine this imbecile had influence over anything. I’m sure they politely listened to him, made him felt “seen,” then laughed at the stupid asshole the second he was out the door. Dorothy Parker once said “if you want to know what god thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to.” This should be a radicalizing event for the entire panthers fan base. Instead of being confused how someone so successful (lots of money) could be so bad at running an nfl team, ask yourself this: how have we set up society in such a way that an imbecile like this became so successful? And how do we address that moving forward? short term? Just imminent domain the team. Would anyone, regardless of political affiliation, be against that at this point? If it could be pulled off?
  13. Mingo was similar to Brown and DK coming out where they were giants with limited route running ability who were going to take time to develop. I don't remember how Tennessee used Brown but in Seattle then just sent DK on go routes and let him body up on WRs. He's developed since his rookie year, but they knew what he could do and couldn't do when they got him. Panthers have hit one go route all year (underthrown pass to Thielen against Houston) and Bryce has thrown maybe 4? It's just more of the same disconnect between every single player the team has and the plays they're calling for them.
  14. This is very tortured logic. you might as well say they don’t think Jefferson is good enough since they used a first rounder on Addison.
  15. Why would you bring in an interim coach before Dallas? no one is going to accept a blindfold and a cigarette.
  16. I think Reich's decision was correct, tbh. I'd absolutely take a shot on Pineiro just burying one over Bryce picking that first down up. Shows you what the team really thinks of Bryce right now, when they're not talking poo for the media. Also from his reaction it was pretty clear that Pineiro told him he didn't have that kick lol.
