  1. There was definitely a little clique with them that included beason, kalil, and Ryne Robinson. We used to sit in front of Ryne’s gf/wife at panthers games and they all hung out together all the time. I also remember Dwill went absolutely insane for Halloween. Like burying himself in loose soil and popping up with a chainsaw without a chain and chasing kids around the neighborhood That was early on tho. Dwill definitely wore out his welcome in Carolina and in Pittsburgh too. makes sense when you think of how heavily Jstew is featured for fan stuff. You wouldn’t even know dwill played for Carolina based on how they show him.
  2. ACL tears are one of the most common and simple ortho procedures. A total tear is even easier to fix. If it's frayed or ruptured or whatever you have to put this synthetic mesh around it to protect it, but if it's just straight torn the replacement is just a strong as the original. We take a tendon from the thight, remove the damaged ACL, and just basically string the new ligament through the hole. ACL kinda just goes through the middle of the knee and keeps it together for stability. They used to be horrific because they had to cut the knee open and do substantial damage to the bone. People were laid up for 12 weeks while the damage the surgery did heals. But now there is so little damage relatively, and the procedure has been nailed down so well, that the biggest thing is just waiting for the incisions to heal and getting used to the knee and rebuilding all that strength. like i can't exaggerate how simple this procedure it. The medical device reps literally are in charge of it, and just use a laser pointer to point out what piece goes where. Everyone thinks they have the best orthopedic surgeon in the country. Everyone always goes to "the best knee guy in town" or whatever. What none of them realize is more often than not the PA is opening, closing, and sometimes doing most of the procedure. Like there's some random dude in central tennessee who thinks he had the best surgeon in the state do his acl repair which actually it was me on my surgery rotation.
  3. he's apparently already running on it. ACL isn't a big deal anymore, especially for a 20 year old.
  4. Brooks is a fuging monster and not a need at all. He reminds me of Stewart when we already had DeAngelo. yeah holy poo this guy rules but why did we draft him? i kinda love it. also full disclosure i was accidentally tripping balls during the second round. like it came on so fast and so hard i barely got to the couch in time or i would have had a floor night. when they drafted him, I was peaking and one of my favorite songs was hitting its crescendo and i had almost a religious experience so he's basically my favorite player of all time now.
  5. Panthers have seriously addressed their line and will be getting players back from injury. Chubba has improved every part of his game each year he’s been in the league and is more than enough as a starter at the position. The Panthers have way too many other needs to take a rb. Thst said, if brooks is there? Oh man
  6. whole lot of people claiming this was blown out of proportion are about to be doing a Jules impression.
  7. you let men walk up to you and take your hat off?
  8. Nah that was from David newton reporting. multiple people on Twitter last night were there and said it was not friendly. The first guy reporting apparently has video and if he’s smart he let tepper buy it from him. Tepper isn’t capable of a normal, human interaction.
  9. Yeah the draft went kinda weird last night. Not sure that big haul is on the board anymore. atlsnta really fuged up the draft, and themselves.
  10. I’d love Wilson to work but the panthers cannot afford to draft someone with any injury history whatsoever. They just cant afford another high round pick that can’t stay on the field. they need like a dude who’s never missed a snap since he was in peewee football or whatever. One of those weirdos who are born without ACLs and can deadlift 500 cold.
  11. How he pans out aside, making that move and getting the fifth year option was a savvy move. Very little risk for good gain. It’s the kind of move that’s only possible because Morgan was able to leverage his personal relationship with brand to pull it off and that is basically the antithesis of how the team has been run under tepper. it I was trying to start poo I’d say it buys them an extra year for Bryce to flame out definitively and to bring in an actual nfl caliber qb.
  12. ftr if anyone cares, i would prefer the panthers trade out of 33. if they can come away with another pick later in the 2nd round and a first next season, they have to take that.
  13. That would be former coastal Carolina coach David Bennett. Of note, in the press conference he was possibly talking about Josh Norman.
  14. They’d be best served taking the best player of need at the spot. reaching for a WR just to say you got “help” for someone who won’t be in the league in two years is bad if someone they legit like falls then hurray but don’t draft Jonathan Mingo again.
  15. I’ve mentioned in previous threads that it is completely realistic the panthers go DB at 33. Would be stunned if they don’t take one with their first two picks.
  16. God I hope the panthers take Penix just to watch this board implode. absolutely do not draft Bo fuging Nix, even for the lols
  17. Ehhhhhhhhhhhh I dunno about that star of that draft was obviously chinn. brown looked like he belonged, but there were no lights coming on. off the top of my head I was kinda worried about him until about a quarter through 2022, when he started blowing through double teams and tossing people to the ground. sometimes it takes players a while to realize they’re bigger and stronger than everyone in the pros too, ie shaq.
