Albert Breer on Rhule's job security
electro's horse replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
bringing in McAdoo is less about having a potential successor if Rhule flops again and more about having someone on the staff that can run things if and when they fire their HC. Last two seasons they haven't had anyone with a lot of pro experience that could like just run practices or whatever. Now they do. Unfortunately the Panthers have a late bye week, and i don't really see the point in firing a guy that late in the season unless you want a couple weeks head start on coaching. However there's really nothing stopping Tepper at this point but pride. -
Bucs WR Chris Godwin (ACL) has been cleared for the beginning of training camp. Neither he nor Lavonte David (Lisfranc) will start on the PUP list. There's probably something to be said for taking it reasonably on concluding that this means Godwin will be ready for the start of the season, but it's big news in a sea of PUP listings that Godwin won't be among them. It could cut into early projected shares for Mike Evans and Russell Gage if Godwin is healthier sooner rather than later.

Horn looks like the real deal at DB. Obviously Fields went to the Bears and it's not fair to judge him after that trash fire, but Horn looked better as a DB than Fields did as a QB. Will need a few seasons but I'm comfortable with that pick. And yeah, now we know. If we're playing this game lets trade back into the 6th round in 2000 and grab some QB who split time at Michigan.

we were one away from Herbert in 2020. Guess we could have taken Jordan Love? 2021, with the exception of various trade up scenarios, only realistic option would have been Fields, and...meh. I mean I guess Mac Jones but bleh This year, there really wasn't anyone.

heading that way

Do you think Brown is going to turn into a premier player? That would probably determine your answer

former Panther Rashard Anderson dead at 45

Was literally dealing heroin when he was drafted. Was Jason Peters dealer. There used to be a video of him when he broke his neck on a sled drill. -
So what happens with Darnold if Baker is the starter

Baker Mayfield is a Carolina Panther
electro's horse replied to uncfan888's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think that's a very good trade and the best move they could have made after failing for 2 years. its an easy hot take to put this into the context of all their qb moves, but on its own with where the team is right now it's fine. -
i was thinking about this exact same response 2010 was fox actively not giving a fug at all he knew he was fired, he knew where he was going to be working, the whole team knew what was happening, and no one cared. The job of the offense in 2010 was to keep the clock moving and keep the games short. run three times and punt. they weren't trying to do anything 2021 was that bad with the team doing everything they could

just want to jump in and say the 2021 panthers offensive line might have been the worst one ive ever watched a worse performance doesn't jump right to mind

Rhule "warming to" starting Darnold?

According to Scott.... QB competition between Matt and Sam

psssst he's lying -
I don’t if Marshall is going through it (and again I doubt that’s the reason) but gait coaching itself is very real and established. All the big camps/training universities are doing it. And all the top soccer kids get it around the world. track and field has been doing it forever. Different gaits and foot strikes for sprinting v endurance etc
-
This sounds stupid and I’m not sure I believe it but gait coaching is absolutely a thing and it’s becoming more and more popular at the youth level. It’s a huge deal in youth soccer for the real promising players. Basically different ways of running make you more likely to tear something. Sammy Watkins can’t stay healthy because he runs on the outside of his feet. it makes him very agile but his ligaments just can’t handle it. In this case though I think Rhule is lying to protect darnolds psyche or whatever. The real reason Marshall didn’t do anything is that the number three receiver and a rookie straight up wasn’t doing anything in this offense last year. I don’t care if it was Randy moss out there.

Of course. They dropped a future third on corral that’s nothing. unles he somehow plays amazing and they still eat poo, but if we get amazing qb play we’re not drafting high. unless like the entire defense is on a different plane or something
