  1. Bryce being too small to see over the offensive line works both ways apparently
  2. Every panthers scoring drive feels like watching Tony stark bust out his ultimate move just to split thanos’ lip
  3. Quinn Ewers with the biggest bitch move I’ve ever seen in my life.
  4. I was at this game when peppers pick six’d that fuging Clausen smoke route the whole stadium cheered lmao
  5. Doing that good huh Yeah but when he gets the ball he looks like he’s playing a different game. XL gets the ball and he has to juggle the ball multiple times while he tries move it from his gut to his hands.
  6. Like XL doesn’t have the wr juice. You don’t want an aww shucks wide receiver, you want one with schizoaffective spectrum disorder
  7. https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1870190962950980038?s=46&t=JBd6ZXmGQ3LmWL-ineTnAA Gotta imagine that’s probably it for him this year. Would finish with 41 receptions for 439, 4 TDs, just under 11 ypc ugh
  8. I mean he had a generational role. Of course he’s going to be typecast. James Purefoy will ALWAYS be Marcus Antonius. https://youtu.be/tfYUyeD0huc?si=SCHGKJjoUInijBPQ
  9. Moose was first team all pro in 2004 and legit had an incredible season. He was just wasted in Carolina before Jake got there, with the exception of the magical 1998 season. colbert was all rookie but then Steve smith got healthy and basically bullied him out of the league. I don’t know if smith has ever talked about that directly but he obviously had a lot of anger issues (he’s worked hard on) and he wasn’t going to have another young WR around. Colbert was a quiet guy and he just kinda went into himself. DJ Moore is a top 11 ish WR in the league I think, but he’s been banished to the negative zone. Rae carruth was 2nd team all rookie but had some distracting off the field stuff then there’s a bunch of guys I think could have been productive players in better environments but that’s just me spitballing.
  10. Mad props for this guy just retiring after his character was killed. that was it. Find something else.
  11. I suspect that schematically with darnold it was just too much out of the gate. Darnold was a multi sport athlete all through high school and just didn’t have a lot of reps coming into the nfl. Most QBs these days are going to summer qb camps in middle school. Darnold was closer to the old school qb who’s just the best athlete around and plays a ton of other sports. I think that’s really one of the most under appreciated factors that have led to an improvement in qb play; these guys are doing this as a full time job from the age of like 13. Obviously the jets were a horrible situation, and he came right into a worse one. And then CMC got hurt. In an ideal world, darnold would have been the guy that sat for a year or so but the current nfl is what it is. when they brought in mayfield Rhule did this fuged up college style “every position is an open competition” and split reps in training camp. That is not fuging what you do in the nfl. Mayfield was coming off injury on a team that was falling apart and they just needed to make him the starter right away. I suspect there was some division in the building and were some darnold advocates and they were obviously right. I think at the end of the day Rhule was just an idiot and a charlatan and I say that as someone who was initially excited about the hire. I fully admit I was wrong about that. The panthers absolutely should have just rolled with darnold and Wilks in 2023 but that’s a dead horse. darnold did exactly what he needed to do in 2023; sat on the bench, got his head straight, and now he’s thriving. I honestly would not hate us going start him for 2025. mayfield I think is a pure vibes qb. He got healthy, got into a good situation, and is thriving. He was never going to be a good Mcadoo qb. When he was in NY it was widely reported he ran the most complex offense in the nfl. Lots of read routes that relied on the qb and wr being on the exact same page, and it’s really a feather in Eli’s cap he was able to do well under it. mayfield is not a smart guy, I don’t know what else to say. He cheated in his wife with a girl he met on tinder in Cheesecake Factory parking lot. he’s got the juice though, and you just let him play football and he thrives. That’s what they’re doing with him in Tampa. Also he has to get sacked and injured every game before he starts playing well. so in conclusion… darnold: needed to sit, should have been resigned, thriving. mayfield: needed to get healthy, needed vibes, needed a dumbed down playbook, thriving panthers: relegate us to the ACC
  12. At the end of the day this would be an interesting argument if Bryce wasn’t also at or near the bottom of the league in almost every other stat you can find.
  13. Just curious. No need to get hostile of course we’re not arguing about what we see, just the reason for it. im not sure what point you’re trying to make by saying the backup qb ran the same scheme and had similar rate stats. He just Looked much more competent doing so.
  14. I couldn’t find that for Dalton for some reason. Now post daltons one game with thielen
  15. Aiyuk has missed half the season, deebo has looked like complete ass, and there are a lot of rumblings that the offensive guru is going to be fired.
