  1. It’s pretty funny how he keeps working with qbs who share his personality faults. obviously Russell Wilson is a weirdo freak evangelical who believes carbonated water can cure concussions. No surprise he left the Seahawks shortly after Wilson became too much to tolerate. geno was so full of himself and an asshole he had his jaw broke in a locker room fight in New York. In Daves “I betrayed my wife” book he described himself as a “recovered narcissist.” baker betrayed his wife in the parking lot of a Cheesecake Factory with a girl he met on tinder (using his own picture no less), so I’m sure he and Dave had a lot in common. can’t wait to find out what freak poo Bryce is in to
  2. Me walking to bump this thread in 17 months when it all comes out
  3. Brad Idzik was born in Durham. He moved to Washington at some point as a kid. He’s from a football family. His grandfather coached in the nfl. His father was on the front office staffs that built the original bucs Super Bowl team. He spent a lot of time in Seattle in various roles. His career culminated in a disastrous two year stint as the Jets general manager between 2013 and 2014. That team was old and needed a tear down and rebuild and he did half of that. His 2013 draft included a certain qb who was so hated by his teammates that he had his jaw broken in a locker room right, but more on that later. Brad graduated from wake forest and, as is often the case for sons of nfl men, went to work following in his father’s foot steps. There’s not a lot of information on him out there. he started as a grad assistant at Stanford. In 2019 he ends up in Seattle as a wide receivers coach. He reprised the role the next year. In 2021 his role changed to assistant quarterbacks coach and even an “offensive quality control coach.” now quality control coach can mean a lot of things; it’s just a title. Some people who played football here probably remember their Get Back Coach: a coach who’s job it was from keeping excited players on the sidelines and not getting an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. For some it’s more just like watching film, categorizing it, looking for whatever etc. one thing is for sure: getting titles at that point in his career is not a demotion. Just like the corporate world, adding a title doesn’t always mean more pay, but it does mean more work. losing a title is considered a demotion. A public one. In his new role he would be reporting directly to offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and passing game coordinator Dave Canales. Canales basically followed Pete Carroll for a decade. Spent seven years as a WR coach, two as a qb coach, and heading into 2021 he was promoted to “passing game coordinator.” now again, titles like these don’t always mean things. Sometimes a title like this is considered a promotion to keep other teams from poaching someone. “Well you can’t interview him to be offensive coordinator because he our passing game coordinator!” Sometimes it’s to justify a raise to keep a coach from taking an interview. All we know is that he went from WR Coach to QB coach to passing game coordinator. And the guy that had his OLD job is a fresh faced, supple, late twenties Brad Idzik. For the record, WR/TE coach to QB coach to Coordinator is a very common career progression. You can imagine how responsibilities increase, game planning increases, lonely hours at the facility increase…… Canales and Idzik are both outspoken evangelicals. Now don’t worry I’m not going to go into how weird evangelicals are here, except to say they’re notorious for their hiring practices: all evangelicals all the time. Brad, well, he’s not a theologian. So at this point it’s The 2021 season. Russell Wilson is kinda falling apart and will get traded to Denver in a huge fuging heist. I’m not gonna blame them for Wilson’s regression, just like they don’t get credit for his success. For the season, it’s presumably Canales and Idzik working for Waldron, trying to get the ship righted. Long……lonely nights….lots of stress…close proximity to one another. Couple evangelical guys who feel they can’t really talk to anyone else at work… get comfortable with each other. Safe. Secure. see this was originally going to be about how evangelicals hire incompetent people, and it still is. It’s just way funnier now. Prior to the 2022 season, Dave canales releases a book detailing his infidelity. He drags his poor wife around the country on a book tour about how actually it made his marriage STRONGER (one weird trick). This is sicko poo to most of us but there’s a huge grift for poo like this in the evangelical community. anyway, the book details how the stress of the job led him down a path of the evangelical big three: porn, alcohol, and infidelity. He was cheating on her since before the marriage. He stated he realized he was a narcissist. that is what every single marriage counselor is going to call every cheating husband. Those are the only people that actually diagnose narcissism by the way, because it’s the only time someone with those cluster b traits ends up in therapy. notably from his book, Canales stated…. ” … the long hours as an NFL assistant coach weren’t to blame for his issues but gave him more opportunities to make bad decisions.” https://apnews.com/article/panthers-dave-canales-book-94ea9914feda7beee058d6c03a87379a Hmmmmm. the book was released in September of 2022. Prior to this, Canales was demoted from pass game coordinator to quarterbacks coach. Brad Idzik was dumped back down to WR coach and lost his “offensive quality control assistant” title. In 2022 something clicked on offense and reclamation project geno smith had a career resurgence…the guy drafted by Idzik’s dad (remember that?) After the 2022 season Canales took a promotion and ended up as the offensive coordinator in Tampa bay. He brought one person with him: Brad Idzik. Idzik worked as WR coach and undoubtedly worked closely with Canales. Side note: Tampa bay is one of the biggest cities for swingers/ENM in the south east. The other big one? Greenville. we know the story of the 2023 and don’t need to go into that in depth here. Short story: neither the whole product or bakers performance was that impressive. Canales was hired by the panthers to be their next head coach. No one else wanted an interview. He hired a few assistant coaches from other positions, then hired Idzik from the bucs to be his offensive coordinator. Idzik will not be calling plays, however. I presume Canales will hold on to those duties. Sweet gig tho. Now I’m sure a bunch of you are sprinting down to the poop emoji because I just listed the publicly available information about their career trajectories. But as an experiment, for those guys here with a wife or partner, read them this recap: the panthers offensive coordinator and head coach are both weirdo evangelicals who were both demoted following a season that led to one of them writing a mea culpa book to his wife about his infidelity. As far as I can tell Canales had no ties to the bucs and switched sides of the country which sounds exactly like what you’d do if you were trying to keep a marriage together and to prove you were “serious about this.” And the one coach he brought with him? Yeah. Idzik. And now he’s in Carolina and the guy he brought with him and promoted? Yeah, Idzik. See what your partner/wife says they were doing. See if she even hesitates. given the rumors about the leisure activities of members of the panthers ownership group, well…. The panthers under tepper have been mostly incompetent. Get ready for them to be scandalous as well.
  4. Evangelicals are notorious for only hiring, being around, associating with other evangelicals. Like hiring straight up incompetent people to do a task just so they have another bible thumper near them. So if you're wondering why a 31 year old who was a Get Back coach 3 years is now the offensive coordinator, well also christ he sounds like an idiot.
  5. I completely agree. That was a quick and easy way to show someone they're completely full of poo. Also completion percentage doesn't take into account how Bryce's completion usually required the receiver to stop his route, reach behind him, get lit up etc. They also don't show how his incompletions were just complete trash. He was spraying balls around like his head coach with a Sears catalog.
  6. 5 times, based on completion percentage. 4 of those he was more accurate. Cam Newton Stats, Height, Weight, Position, Draft, College | Pro-Football-Reference.com
  7. i guess the receivers had to elevate too to try to catch his passes to the front row
  8. the only elevating bryce does is to a higher level of care
  9. yeah i don't even know what to say to these people anymore. dude had like 3 good quarters of passing the entire season and it looked like he was doing an impersonation of a macy's day parade
  10. Great. The usual suspects will get to say the receivers are too small for Bryce to see
  11. Are you trying to be a scam evangelical lifestyle grifter too?
  12. Canales’ wife has no pictures of her husband on her Instagram. Probably nothing.
  13. Bryce young against Tampa this season 15/31 178 yards 1 int 5.7 ypa 11/18 94 yards 5.2 ypa He also fumbled both games it’s either you believe your eyes or a pervert evangelical who wrote a book about how much he loved that one scene with harmony, Tory lane and Eve Lawrence
  14. Lmao how is anyone still buying this I know every time Bryce checked into the wrong play all I thought was “wow so cerebral look at that processing”
  15. So how much worse of a hire does this make canales, given what his offense did against evero?
  16. Oh wow they’re going to get the ball out fast and limit turnovers. Revolutionary
  17. The only way the panthers were getting turnovers last year is if the defense tried to strip the running back every time as they ran clock for half the game. if you want to force turnovers you need to put the opposing offense into the right situations; namely abandoning the run and needing to pass. unfortunately our head coach has spent less time as a coordinator than he did writing a book about his addiction to milfhunter, and he’s excited about one of the worst qbs in the modern era.
  18. Evero has twice now fielded competitive, respectable units on garbage poo tier teams. In Denver he did it despite the unit being gutted halfway through the year. The Panthers didn’t make a lot of “big plays” because opposing offenses didn’t need to do anything to outscore the panthers. I don’t know what you expect the defense to do if the other team starts running out the clock start the second half.
  19. i agree with this. just take some toolsy guy every year in the 7th and see if you strike gold.
  20. Collinsworth has stopped trying and phoned it in to a degree that, honestly, I respect.
  21. I think the funniest part of the broadcast was at the end when Olsen was going off about them having used a timeout at the end to try to get that last touchdown. He was going over all the contingencies and someone in his ear very clearly told him to shut up about it and he went quiet for about thirty seconds. Then he kinda apologized. He's gonna be successful in whatever he does.
  22. Some Asshole: "Well sir, we're getting a lot of engagement centering around this latest issue. As you can see, one members posted several thoughtful open ended questions which spurred several pages of discussion." Tepper: "Fantastic! Bring me a puppy to choke."
  23. yeah and their college career is meaningless after their first nfl snap
  24. You identified two players as reasons they were able to win the Super Bowl who weren’t even on the team. Sorry if I don’t care about the points you think are good.
