  1. I was actually at the season opener vs the jets and Wilson had a couple throws in the game that were definitely “oh my” moments. He could definitely spin it shame about everything else
  2. When he was a passing game coordinator in Seattle he was getting paid 10k speaker fees at evangelical marriage recharge conferences. at the time he was cheating on his wife every weekend and spending his per diems on strippers while she couldn’t afford groceries. this is in their book. to say nothing about what he and Brad Idzik were doing
  3. Rozeboom is on the council, a guy on a one year league minimum deal who played special teams for the Rams last season. Leadership Council honestly sounds like Evangelical Church popularity contest poo and sure enough..
  4. The Losses 2024 Week 3's blowout win against the Raiders was followed by an absolute dud at home against the Bengals. Lost by ten points. Hurricane Helene hit and I also blame Dave for this. After a dominating 20-17 victory over the Giants in London with a game winning Daniel Jones fumble in overtime, and a bye week, the Panthes returned home and caught a team napping on them. Narrow loss to KC by three points. A week after defeating the Cardinals 36-30 in OT in a hideous game, the Panthers went to Tampa and got shellacked. Lost by thirty-four points. 2025 The Panthers sabotaged the Falcons radio equipment and had an enjoyable 30-0 win against Atlanta. Then Drake Maye Drake'd all over them and they lost by twenty-nine points, with some gabage time making it more palatable. Panthers had an 3 game winning streak against the absolute dregs of the league, ending with the Jets. The next week, the Bills blew their doors off and beat them by thirty-one points, and it wasn't even that close. Finally, Panthers snuck out a weird win in Lambeau, Victory Monday, and got beat by the Saints by ten points. Overall Canales win percentage after a win is about 36% or so. It's sort of difficult to compare that to the rest of the league. The Jets, for example, have won 100% of their games after a win this year. His career average is good enough for about 21st in the league this year. He's better than last year when. I think that can be explained by two things primarily. The first is it was a young, bad team last year. This year, they're squeaking out wins against bad teams and then getting steamrolled by good ones, the Packers not withstanding (though after last night who knows). The teams the Panthers played in their 3 game winning streak don't exactly lend themselves to tales of valor and bravery. Margin The average margin of victory in the regular season is 9.5 points, with 25% of games being decided by 7 points or fewer. With the exception of the KC game, at home, coming off a Bye, all of Dave's losses have exceeded the league average. Not only that, but the Panthers have gotten destroyed, and I want to draw attention to that second Bucs game in 2024. They were the only good team that saw this offense twice and they completely blew the Panthes doors down the second game. Pats and Bills boatraced us. Panthers have a higher margin of loss than league average in general, but after wins it's substantially higher than even that. Dave Canales can't handle success Gotta learn how to put the news clippings down. Canales is a confessed narcissist, so I imagine he spends a lot of time basking in it. Must have felt great after beating the Packers for someone like him. Unfortunatley the Saints didn't give a poo and came in and smacked the Panthers right in the mouth. They don't win very often after wins, and when they lose, more often than not they're not competitive.
  5. Dak was off a lot of teams boards because of the DUI. Point stands tho
  6. Sanders is probably talking about himself here if Sunday is any indication
  7. That's a bonus for them though tbh. They threw a second on the chance they might be able to fix him. Hack had all the physical tools, and did look okay his freshman year. but then they got a look at him in person and were like "oh my god no" and just kinda forgot he was on the team and quietly cut him lmao
  8. does anyone have that picture of Fitterer eating by himself at the end of the bar at the B Dubs in Ballantyne Bro was just housing boneless buffalo wings, gut hanging out, free from shame.
  9. mike white is also apparently a colossal asshole no one can stand and a total locker room cancer. I remember that from his Jets days when he was outplaying zach wilson and was pretty toxic about it. Can't imagine that flies in Dave Canales' Jesus Camp
  10. Yeah he is. He's put together a worse 3 years of qb play than Jamarcus did, in an era where QBs aren't allowed to struggle that long. Say what you want about his first season, the Panthers have bent over backwards for him this year and in 2024, so it's even worse relatively. And he's doing it in a much easier era to play QB, even compared to the late 2000s. I think we need to keep comparisons contained to the modern era, and even then probably in the salary cap era, just because of how much more advanced scouting and drafting is etc. Like back in the day teams would just draft whomever based on what their college coach said about them. They'd blow first rounders all the time, it wasn't as big a thing as it is now. The main thing keeping Bryce from all time busthood is him just not having the physical tools to have those huge expectations but given everything sacrificed for him he's easily top 5.
  11. he's not looking to Coker. Remember, bryce is one of the worst in the NFL after his first read. Coker is going to be wasted in this offense right now. Which sucks because I think he's basically baby Anquan Boldin and they just need to send him on posts/seams every play and let him bully defenders.
  12. Mr Scot mentioned this in another thread, and I'm paraphrasing, but Canales went into this game and tried to run a smash mouth power running game with a bunch of backup, agile interior linemen or linemen that were injured. Like everyone on the oline has an elbow injury right now. It was really basic. Like going to chatgpt and typing in "power running blocking scheme win" and just installing whatever it shat out. And when the saints just did run blitz from the start he had no backup plan at all. They tried to throw a bit more in the 2nd half to start but New Orleans was just sending it up the A gap which has always made Bryce panic. I actually think this would have been a better game for Chuba but that's neither here nor there. Canales just looks overmatched at times and I just can't stand that we're talking about giving this guy another season.
  13. Honestly he’s not as bad as leaf simply because he should never of had the expectation of being able to do play the position. unlike Bryce, Leaf succeeded on a college team without all world talent at every position. He also had all the physical tools you could possibly ask for. I will never forget seeing him play the panthers in 2000, getting pulled down from behind in the pocket from like the chargers 35, and hitting a coveted wide receiver in stride in the air for the touchdown. Absurd pass. He just went to one of the worst possible situations for him to be in. The chargers medical staff got him hooked on pain meds too. he also signed the largest signing bonus ever in the nfl up to that point. Imagine how much worse the Bryce situation would be if we’d had to give him like 90 mil guaranteed
  14. rhule still working on that first Nebraska win against a ranked opponent
  15. i dont think anyone remembers this but me but shortly after cam was named starter in preseason Clausen gave an interview where he got huffy and said something like "i was told this was going to be an open competition at QB and I don't appreciate being lied to." sure thing buddy
  16. excuse me he was carved out of wood by charlie weiss most pro ready qb in the draft that year championship pedigree etc
  17. imagine making a thread that ages this poorly i can't imagine it, obviously. all my threads are the right takes when I make them and time bares that out.
  18. murray's entire game was based around being able to move and he can't do that anymore. He can't play within a pocket, he struggles in the same ways bryce does, he has a bigger arm but doesn't seem to trust it anymore, and has a worse contract. and keeps getting a bunch of weird injuries. he's washed
