defense looked like they were playing base coverage all day yesterday. It’s why there was so much space across the middle between the first and second levels. Criticize evero all you want, but it’s never looked like THAT. that generally means the players you have can’t handle anything more complicated. The same thing happened in 2010 when the whole defense was injured and I don’t think anyone is gonna claim fox couldn’t coach defense. offense looked like they had no idea what was going on. It was reminiscent of week 2 against San Diego. Just no idea what do do against the bears defense. Bryce got all the blame for that performance and rightly so, especially after the raiders game, but it’s looking like Canales doesn’t know what he’s doing either. maybe the panthers thought mike evans came with Canales? I dunno.

Also regarding helicopter chat I live on the flight path between mission and Transylvania. From Friday evening on there have been what looks like chinooks flying atleast hourly. They’re transporting staff and patients. The smaller choppers are the docs and nurses. HCA was bringing them in from other HCA facilities, getting them to airfields, and flying them in via whatever means they could find. they’ve also had ospreys flying from AVL looking for people. They came VERY close to my house Saturday morning.

the thing to keep in mind with andy is he only had 1 week of practice with the starters he was injured during a lot of the preaseason, and obviously was the number 2 qb during the season. he'd probably only had like 3 days worth of practice with the 1s

So the Bengals have looked fuging bad this year. They had a good offensive performance against a redskins team that probably doesn’t have a great defense. Jayden Daniels looks amazing sure; but Jayden daniels didn’t have anything to do with a 33 year old tight end waddling around wide open, and kingsbury’s offense is a known quantity at this point. beating it is all about execution; it’s not complex. the bengals lost Trent brown against the reds kind as well. Obviously burrow is burrow and chase is chase. Higgins is also clearly a stud. Raiders probably have a better d line than Cincinnati. Without thielen the panthers are going to have to run the ball. I think the whole game comes down to how horn does on chase, and how the panthers run block. If they win both those matchups I think they win. the other thing about the raiders game is it was such a blowout and the raiders were so obviously outmatched I’m not sure how much good tape there is on the Dalton panthers. They were doing whatever they wanted.
