That was for pierce this year, and they did fleece them. Penix was panic drafted in 2024 after they signed Kirk to a contract without doing a physical lmao -

He slammed his helmet down when he got hit. He knew right away. -
You really don’t. Good teams don’t tie themselves to players for wining an arbitrary number of games. the ravens cut their qb in 2000 after winning the Super Bowl. The Bucs did the same thing after losing the nfc championship. Packers shipped Rodgers ass out of town the first chance they got. Winston threw 30 TDs and like 7k yards and he was replaced. Seahawks let geno walk and replaced him and one of the best offenses in the league (nervous laughter). Rams went to the Super Bowl with Goff and shipped him out good team are constantly trying to improve. The number of wins this panthers team ends with is irrelevant. The most obvious example of a team bailing on a qb(s) for what they thought was an improvement is of course Bryce

Okay Mav you’re all over the place. You clearly WANT to know what you’re talking about and that’s important. You can start here and get back to me this is a great read and it’s made even better by what a cool dude (and massive asshole) Mike leach was https://a.co/d/5LQJsbV

So it’s not a check down if it gets enough yards. Got it.
-
Because words and terminology are important and you’re making an argument with a fundamentally flawed understanding of what’s happening. its fine you don’t need to understand the history of the west coast offense to enjoy games. But you’re going to get called out when you’re Wrong On The Internet. Bryce is a very limited qb who had one of the best takes of his career against a very poorly coached falcons team. It’s not the best game of his career because that’s still his 2023 game against the packers. You can just be happy that Canales offense sets him up for success 2/3 of the time against Raheem morris. You don’t have to argue for things that aren’t true.
-
Do you think a check down has to be behind the LOS?
-
You’re incorrect. wr route progressions and check downs are considered different things.
-
This is true. And there are def times where that rb out of the backfield is the primary read even, way more with Chuba. that was not the case at all yesterday. Bryce was going PA one read, someone leaked out of the backfield, got to the flat, stood there, waved, looked at the mlb who was busy playing Pokémon go, then caught a pass.
-
Coryell and Walsh didn’t. if you don’t know, they’re generally considered the architects of modern nfl offenses. They’ve written books. You can read them. Theyre not hard to find. I haven’t read Gus malzahn’s book.

Do you think a check down is considered a read by nfl coaches

If he grows a foot and learns to make a second read he could be a starting caliber qb

I’d hate Bryce a lot less if he stopped trying to be a zoomer street style influencer and just became psychotic like Winston. -
/year three No no the deep passes are coming, I swear, honestly, just give it more time You sound like one of my patients in the ED for the fourth time this year telling me their abusive husband just needs more time and is ready to change
-
Honestly it was the falcons refusal to cover anyone leaving the backfield. theyre on theyre like fifth MLB or whatever jesus christ guys

(Quietly) I thought Tyler shough actually looked pretty good last week. -
Bijan had like four second half carries because they split his reps with Algier. And yeah losing a starter will negatively impact a wr, especially when he’s hurt.
-
Why? People just want to feel good.

He is consistent. This game is the aberration. like it’s one game. He did it last season against the falcons and fooled the team into doubling down on him. bad qbs have weird good games against shitty teams. Look at what Jacoby brissett did yesterday against a much better team and with a much worse group of receivers. -
Better than 13/16 175 yards?
-
Also Drake was apparently hurt at some point towards the end of the first half and tried to keep playing but didn’t finish the game. The falcons other wr are all going to be working at quick trip next season. Just like against the packers, the panthers sent a loud message to the rest of the league; no matter who you are, if you have enough injuries to key starters, we can wait until your defense gets tired and eke out a victory with a field goal.
