  1. early returns are that the panthers have one of the better pass blocking lines in the league. that's never a bad thing, regardless of who the passer is, and I'd argue there isn't a better place to put money given the state of the qb he inherited and the questions surrounding him. Now he's got Andy, who is league average but can actually complete the route tree, so we'll see what happens. again, it's early, and I don't know if anyone is following the giants, but letting burns leave is looking like the right move and he's being devoured by the media up there. brooks was Literally That Good at Texas and let's see how he plays before we judge it.
  2. They’re already setting up the narrative that the Panthers David Carr’d him
  3. “Leading us in sacks” probably says more about the team than him as a player.
  4. i said this in the other thread but this is college football poo no one cares about your family dude. this isn't alabama. no one is worried about upsetting your high school coach and not getting recruits. this is absolute bitch made behavior from bryce
  5. the other thing too im noticing when listening to former players talk about this is they sound like they know what it means for bryce without saying it like all players are cheering for each other to succeed, even if there are some individual rivalries or hatred or whatever. When you listen to these players and former players talk, you can tell they know bryce isn't cut out for this. even before this year, everything was VERY couched and VERY conservative.
  6. this is a brutal take down btw he has some complaints about the playcalling but he doesn't hold back. it's worth a full watch.
  7. I like what Tim has to say and he even acknowledges it during this, but he really is talking out of both sides of his mouth. I don't listen regularly or anything, but I've never heard him just straight up say that Bryce can't make all the throws in the NFL. It feels like he's trying not to piss off the bama fans.
  8. the list of talking points given to them by the PR firm he's had since he arrived at Tuscaloosa.
  9. if bryce young and "those close to him" can arrange it then go for it i will mention again: canales was asked about the health of andy dalton and he refused to answer
  10. i mean it's sustainable. defenses will let him do that all day. it's not productive. don't mean to be pedantic but...ive been drinking
  11. this is what i mean when i reference the Alabama qb propaganda poo. bringing the family (those close to him) into the story about being benched is a college move. this is something you do like praying hard, speaking to close advisors, etc before you enter the transfer portal. this matters in college football because coaches have to sell the families of recruits, not just the player. in the nfl, no one gives a hot gay fug what your parents. you're a grown as man now dude, you've got millions in the bank, no one gives a poo if you're mom is upset. my fuging god
  12. there was a stat last year about how many defensive player of the weeks that bryce young was producing. people saw bryce as a way to hit contract incentives.
  13. press conference highlights - Canales says it was his decision, but he did consult with his "leadership council" - won't say whether or not this is a week to week thing or the rest of the season thing - won't say that andy dalton is healthy from the preseason which is weird - said his dream is to lead a group of men towards their vision of what we're trying to do here he really didn't answer anything. he looked very nervous the entire time. mentioned that the oline played better lmao
  14. you have to release him. you can't bench him and not. i don't know i can't really explain it. like when they moved on from Jake they had to release him, not just bench him.
  15. oh man we need the gossip. I bet there was a revolt brewing. Film review must have been BRUTAL
  16. if tepper had the game audio on in his suite, he also got to listen to jay feely shitting all over bryce.
  17. yeah we're not winning a lot of games this season, but yesterday was definitely winnable. I mean what the chargers put out there yesterday was beatable with a better qb, but obviously the they'd probably play different if we had a functioning offense still, at least now the offense will operate on a functional level
  18. i wonder if he requested it to be honest.
  19. this is how they had to do it. no fuging half measures, no injury, nothing he is benched. moving on.
