  1. lmao fuging no one is at the trump rally
  2. yeah but all these pieces of poo are going to willfully spread it to the people that don't have a say. like in georgia, for example, all the working class people forced to go back to work with kemp withdrew the state of emergency. At that point, if they didn't go back to work they couldn't claim UI anymore, regardless of the threat. On monday, some dumb karen attending this rally is still going to get her nails done, her hair did, go to panera, and then have some poor schmuck at total wine carry out ten bottles of yellow tail to her suv at no point will she wear a mask or tip she'll probably drop a hard R under her breathe at least twice.
  3. yeah years from now epidemiologists will simply refer to trump's rally tonight as "the incident"
  4. likely to die v. not is a really stupid way to approach this since we don't know the long term effects at all like just wait until it turns out this stuff lives on your nerves like herpes and every time you get stressed out you get crippled by another outbreak
  5. sevier county has around 400 confirmed cases that's right near dollywood and gatlinburg for those unfamiliar
  6. was staying in a mostly abandoned hospital in VERY rural tennessee for my surgery rotation, while traveling 15 minutes south to a different hospital for rotations. It's a weird situation. Hospital where I'm staying has an emed open, and they think they have a covid positive patient. I'm like "hell yeah I want to round on this person" so droplet precaution'd up and went inside to meet her. 50s ish, 35 year smoking history, history of sternum cancer (no idea), hx of costochondritis, says she was living with two people who tested positive though when she talke dto me she didn't say they'd actually been tested. CXR some patchy infiltrates but nothing crazy. high fever that was responsive to tylenol. dry, unproductive cough and muscle pains. Patient did not appear to be in any acute distress. Covid test results were pending, didn't want to CT her d/t risk of infecting the hospital. I listened to her lungs and they were clear. denied any flank pain or swelling in her toes. Couldn't find any thrombophlebitis or hemorrhaging. told the guy in charge of the hospital i though it was a pretty unimpressive presentation but we'd wait on the tests. woman was lit the fug up with covid19. and she'd been working up to a day prior at a plant with 700 people. Hospital just got locked down and they kicked me out because they needed to have the rooms for their employees to quarantine. COVID!
  7. kids stayed "at home" for like 99% of human existence even if we don't know the true threat to adolescents yet, we know the number 1 place covid is transmitted has been in the home, and who the fug knows about their parents/grandparents especially in places like tennessee where all the parents are 28 going on 60.
  8. in a sane society this would drastically change how we approach mass gatherings, much like sars did in various asian countries but this is america so
  9. it's not just nfl players; it's the coaches, trainers, owners, support staff, families, etc sports aren't gonna happen this year
  10. maybe, but everyone has already forgotten that von miller had it
  11. if they really poo out a vaccine by the end of the year, as a healthcare professional, i would not recommend anyone take it
  12. that youtube account also posts videos about the earth being flat so
  13. Can't believe no one has run on that "acceptable percentage of deaths" platform. Also the one european country that famously tried this has been predictably one of the worst struck. And they're like the healthiest country in the world. All the swedes do is play volleyball, fug, and hide nazi gold.
  14. well in healthcare we don't talk about acceptable casualty rates so
  15. this is now how shutting down works you do it before it gets bad, not after.
  16. time to quarantine south carolina
  17. GOAT is basically asking how the field of epidemiology works
  18. as of may 22nd this was not the case.
  19. they're succeeding the smell is overpowering
  20. this is just a random image from dragoncon. imagine this across four hotels
  21. DragonCon is one of the most crowded, least healthy looking things you've ever seen in your life. Hambeasts shoulder to shoulder, sweating and panting, spread out over 4 hotels, drunkenly humping each other in secret orgies every single night, half of them are on mobile oxygen already DragonCon this year would simply be referred to as "The Incident" by future epidemiologists
