The video looks horrible... You can hear the pain. https://twitter.com/cweeks85/status/596744674318098432

I think it would just be a pain in his ass more than anything. We have to remember, not only is he an NFL franchise QB. He's also a hero of sorts at Auburn. Everyone would be flocking to him. Probably news and poo there to. He's likely right.

I'm not sure to be completely honest. It stipulates "at campus" or "at home of" but that may just be the wording they chose to pull from the rules. You know how reporters are...

NFL Draft Rounds 2 & 3 General Discussion Thread - Now Open

That's what I was hearing after rounds 2/3 were over. Not sure of the significance, but enough that nobody would risk it in the top rounds. -
Panthers trade up to 9th pick of second round - select Devin Funchess

Man I hope this kid pans out. First thing I noticed in that clip, was how quick his feet were, for a guy his size. -
Realistic Expectations For Devin Funchess This Season
Nick_81 replied to KendrickPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know man. Maybe you should lower your expectations a bit. I just think there's other factors to consider. First, we're a run first, pound the rock, ToP offense. Second, if he does turn out being our #2, he will still have to share touches with two 1,000 yard guys. You know KB and Olsen will get the lion's share, due to Olsen being Olsen, and KB being our clear #1. Then you start sprinkling in Dickson in 2 TE sets, or our 3rd WR. If we have that amout of viable targets, I can see the ball being spread around quite a bit, not unlike our 2013 season, when we had like 4 guys hovering around 600-700 yards each(though I'd hope it would be a bit more this season). That's not even considering RB's getting passes either. I think D-Will had nearly 400 yards receiving that year. -

Yeah, lol... I can't seem to find an actual employee of another team criticizing us. I'll keep sweeping the interwebz in search of such comments though... -

I can understand concerns, and I'm not saying I wouldn't love a speed guy, but we can do everything we want to with the big guys. WR's job is to get separation, and there's many ways to do it. Some use speed, some run great routes, and some use their size. Our young receivers will use their size to physically dominate, and as they develop, their route running should improve as well. They probably won't be technicians, like Olsen, but they'll get better and then it gets really scary. Olsen is almost always on the field, and our #1/#2 will almost always be on the field(Benjamin and hopefully Funchess). There's absolutely no way all 3 can be covered, and it only gets better if you add Dickson as a 2nd TE, or Ginn/Brown in the slot. Guaranteed mismatches, and that's what you're looking for. One or two of these huge targets will have to be covered 1-on-1. Advantage goes to our receivers. I just can't help but get excited about that. -
Panthers trade up to 9th pick of second round - select Devin Funchess

Said this in the draft thread, but I guess it's more appropriate here... I fuging LOVE this pick. Some of you can bitch about having two enormous receivers all you want. This is awesome, if he pans out. Makes me think of Jeffery/Marshall/Bennett combo... none of which are speed guys, yet produce with no problems(except for their ass QB). Who's going to match up if we run a 2 TE set in the redzone with KB/DF/Olsen/Dickson? Did people suddenly forget how good our offense looked between the 20's? Really didn't have a ton of problems until we got in the redzone. That was one of the biggest gripes, remember? Settling for 3 points... Well fug that, we just got huge! Here's the wildcard outlier. What if, and that's a big what if I know, but what if it finally clicks with Hill? I might poo myself... -
