  1. Considering I had zero excitement before yesterday, not as crazy a jump as it sounds.
  2. 1000 percent more interested. Not only do we have a better QB with more potential, but we get to add an exciting player around him since we don’t have to trade everything for a QB. I was probably not going to watch another game until Teddy was done. And now I don’t have to worry about that.
  3. There isn’t a lot of risk in trading for Sam. His upside is 1000 times higher than Teddys was with us. At the most we lose a second next season, but depending on how the season plays out, it might be closer to a third. To me it’s a win/win with what we were working with. We all would have loved to be drafting at 3 to grab Fields, but that ship sailed, and we made the best situation out of a tough season. If Sam doesn’t get better, we move along next season and only lost a second. If he does work out, we got a franchise QB for virtually nothing in comparison to what others are giving up. A very young defense has a year under its belt, upgrade CB and OL in the draft, and CMC is completely healthy. Let’s see what happens.
  4. Igo your Teddy threads made me want to throw up, but I am one thousand percent behind you on this one! Let’s support Sam and see what he can do with a competent coach and coordinator. Not to mention some help on the field.
  5. I’m excited about his potential with a competent staff and surrounding talent. He will have tools and plays available to him here that he dreamed of having in New York. You guys could at least wait until he plays a game before you prepare your doomsday bunkers.
  6. I never expected the top four to be at 8. But I’m cool with drafting Fields or Lance there. Just don’t see it being an option.
  7. Darnold is going to make a lot of you kiss his ass next season. I can be excited about the Panthers again. Talented QB, modern head coach, and can draft BPA in the upcoming draft. Lot to be excited about moving forward.
  8. He’s better than Teddy. Has a big arm and can actually make exciting plays. This way we can still draft BPA at 8 and get this thing going.
  9. They would charge us an arm and a leg being in the same division. Guess it depends on how badly we want to move on from Teddy.
  10. Would be an upgrade over Teddy no doubt. I’m for it for a third or fourth.
  11. Thanks for the info. I have wanted Fields if we couldn’t get Lawrence for the past two seasons.
  12. Is it realistic to expect Fields to be at 8? Even Lance? If we want Fields I’m not sure we even get him at 6
  13. I would much rather have Darnold than Teddy. Unfortunately, the more days pass, the more I am convinced Bridgewater will be under center week one. It would really be a buzzkill for the season. I am clinging on to a shred of hope we can get Fields at 8.
  14. Most recent report from Fox Sports says they are drafting Fields and that’s why they moved up. Maybe it’s an opinion piece, but it sounded pretty confident. Will be a lot of fun watching Wilson, Fields, and Lawrence dominate. But hey, at least we established winning culture to tough out 5 wins.
  15. Don’t worry guys, we will just take 5 years to build the perfect roster so Teddy won’t look like poo. Can’t believe some of you are cool with him starting next year. Tepper won’t feel heat, and the Panthers will accept another year of getting bitch slapped.
  16. So true. Our franchise in love with being mediocre.
  17. I refuse to watch this team if we trot out Teddy next season. Throw the bot at the Jets for pick two. The 49ers had the balls to do something that we didn’t.
  18. There’s a lot of great prospects that aren’t QBs in this draft. It’s insanely deep. Even with that said, I’ll be beyond disappointed if we miss out on one of the top 4 quarterbacks
  19. Can our front office really roll Teddy out there to start the season when we had basically zero fans all of last year? Panthers fans will line up to watch Teddy, I’m sure of it. I think it has to be Fields or Wilson at this point. Glad to see @Vergehas his money there as well. I think most Panthers fans could rally around those guys rather easily.
  20. I thought it was pretty obvious the Texans had accepted they basically had no choice. All kinds of sources, even ones adamant about the team keeping him, had started flipping their opinions and saying he would be moved.
  21. Bingo. Some of you guys don’t know football and it shows.
  22. Thinking about Deshaun to the Panthers and how many people are complaining about it is giving me a chubby.
