We have to take a shot at a QB at some point in the draft. Why not this year? If Reich wants Stroud, do what you have to to go get him.

@TheMaulClawhonest question, do you think it was a red flag for Wilks that no other team was interested in hiring him? Not even for a coordinator role? Correct me if I’m wrong, he has not gotten a single interview request other than the Panthers. I don’t think he did as great of a job as a lot of fans think he did. It was alright, but by no means great. Just my opinion

Bottom line. It’s scary that so many people acting outraged can’t see the simple facts of the situation.

It is very much a common fan vs fans that know football/NFL and follow it closely. If you had any idea what you’re talking about, you would see Reich is more qualified than Wilks in every way possible. He also has a background on the correct side of the ball, which is what all teams at moving towards. All four teams playing tomorrow have offensive minded coaches. 7/8 last weekend. All the media and most of the Panthers fans I see on social media saw 6-6 Steve Wilks as the shiny new toy in the room and there’s just no way we could have done better. Nothing to say other than they have an agenda and will do anything to push it. I hope they’re far off the bandwagon next year when we are winning and not letting Mike Evans go for three TDs in the biggest game of the year.

I’m sure I would remember if I saw the play again but it’s just not coming to me at the moment. He took way too many vicious hits

Carr probably wins the division for us next year. I don’t think he puts us over the top to be a real contender, though. I think we have to move up and I think hiring Reich probably means we will.

It’s the shiny new toy for a lot of Panthers fans that know nothing but mediocrity.

Let’s go! Not my first choice, but he’s an offensive guy he’s not Steve Wilks. Cowherd praising our hire now on his show.

People are not selling Wilks short for any reasons not related to football. We have plenty of evidence he’s an average at best coach that will limit this teams ceiling for as long as he’s calling the shots. Reich, although not many posters’ first choice, knows the game on the right side of the ball and would be such a refreshment. Would be nice to have someone not afraid to go for the kill when facing guys like Brady. Wilks completely poo the bed in that situation and multiple other ones.

Lol at it being a “hard sell” to keep Wilks on staff if he doesn’t get the HC gif. Where else is he going to go? Nobody wants him. Hoping the Reich news is correct and we make it public soon.

Make it happen, Tepper. Get this man Frank Reich signed so we can focus on grabbing our future QB.

He’s so good, we had to lock him up before other teams beat the door down to interview him. Such a joke we interviewed 115 people and this dude is one of the finalists. Such a Panthers move.

I also think I might decide to cover Mike Evans after two touchdowns. Just maybe, though.

I will personally help Frank Reich move to Charlotte if it’s down to him and Wilks. I can talk myself into getting excited about Reich. I will have to talk myself down from a cliff if we hire Wilks.

I’d be fine taking a chance on any of the top 3. Trading up for them, I mean. I would also be fine if we take Richardson at 9. I don’t think there’s any chance we get Stroud, Levis, or Young at 9. Regardless of what some of the couch scouts say, there’s plenty to like about all three of those guys. I would prefer if we did go this route, we do it with Stroud.

Very unfortunate. But none of us should be surprised the Panthers couldn’t land their top options. It never happens.

Do not agree at all with those saying if it’s down to Reich or Wilks to just keep Wilks. I would rather have FR a billion times over simply due to his specialty being the offensive side of the ball. He would be a lot better for our presumed rookie QB.

Probably gonna have to trade up if we want one of the top 3 guys. That or settle for Richardson.
