Official NFL Draft Round 1 Thread - General Chatter

I've never cheered for a non Panthers pick as much as I cheered for Leonard Williams to come off the board before the Falcons picked. -
There's not really much point in trading back this year unless we're acquiring future picks.

Welp, there goes the hope of a compensatory. Goodell raped us hard on this one, somebody should let JR know that Goodell works for him, not the other way around.

Jameis Winston: I didn't steal the crab legs
WUnderhill replied to TNPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
So, he's not an intentional thief, he's just an idiot. Glad we got that cleared up, lol. Thanks crab leg guy working part time for minimum wage, guess I don't need to wonder about whether all the other employees think this is ok...or management. -
The white tops with the brown pants seem alright, the rest are pretty bad. But then, there uniforms were pretty ugly already, so not a huge deal imo.

Troy Polamalu calls it a career
WUnderhill replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hard to believe he was around 12 years. He doesn't seem THAT old. -
Even Stretch Armstrong would call that a stretch.

Wtf is with this guy? First Good Charlotte, then that stupid April Fool's prank, now the Miami Vice crap. I'm starting to wonder if we really want this guy in our locker room, he seems very self-centered and immature from all this.

Falcons fined $350,000 and lose 2016 fifth round draft pick
WUnderhill replied to 0DegreesKelvin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Only a fifth? -
The picks are made as if those teams were still making them, and then the chosen players are banished to the CFL.

Was just joking, but thanks for not being a d about it.

Gaffney and Klein I think. Edit: Bene and Barner, too. Gaffney and Barner....smdh.

Was really hoping for a 1st.

Surprised nobody's said anything about Alice yet.

Calm down guys. Maybe he just has bad taste in music

I wasn't thrilled, but it's also a completely different situation. Drafting a LB with no injury history when you have two LBs coming off significant injury and little depth at the position with the intention of playing him 3 downs vs. drafting a RB coming off a season ending injury to split carries at a position with good depth. It's apples and oranges. Ridiculous comparison. I believe in building from the inside out, no matter who we drafted in the past. We need to worry about our OL before we worry about ANOTHER first round RB.

Alan "Blue Balls" Ball leaves Panther offer on table
WUnderhill replied to CubsWin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like it. He's an upgrade for us this year, and since he's 30 it won't hurt as bad to lose him next year. -
Hardy to choose between Cowboys and Bucs
WUnderhill replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we don't get a 3rd round comp. pick for him, then the NFL boning of the Panthers will be complete. Let's hope the Cowboys give him big $$. -
Hardy to choose between Cowboys and Bucs
WUnderhill replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I see what you're going for, but I'm gonna be a debbie downer and say that the Hardy pick and his subsequent development had pretty much nothing to do with Gettleman.
