Agreed. I just think there are very few QBs who would make this a competitive offense at this point.

Why gaf if our backup QB gets minutes. It’s not like we need to evaluate him or the team is going to be a competitive playoff team.

I agree except the part about putting the best OL in front of him and it wouldn’t matter. I just think we were dumb for taking him and putting him in just as shitty of a system as he had with the Jets minus CMC and expecting different results.

I’m not really a Darnold fan, I just see plenty of blame to spread around.

Unfortunately, I don’t see how we get Howell with this many wins and no draft capital.

It was a terrible throw. Probably earlier in the game he throws it away there and he gets mocked for how many times he throws it away. Now we’re down 18 in the 4th and he forces it. He’s been bad and he’s also put in terrible situations constantly. We have no room to make fun of the Jets at this point.

It all starts with pressure. We have a QB who sees ghosts and you put him behind a terrible o line. How these boneheaded coaches were so full of themselves to think THIS was the right situation for the Darnold reclamation project, and last year for the Bridgewater reclamation project, is beyond me.

Yep that’s Darnolds fault we have 2 OL who can’t keep a defender engaged and from jumping up to grab a pass at the los. Darnolds gotta float every pass right? And when the lame ducks get intercepted that would be his fault too.

Yes. Sam’s not been good either. Hard to evaluate when he’s running for his life and has to make a throw across his body on the run. Should a top NFL QB complete that pass? Yes. Is our o-line garbage? Yes. Is our playcalling garbage? Yes.

It’s always coaching. Sometimes it’s both.

It’s been 2 years in a row of this offense being less interesting than paint drying. Different QBs, mostly different OL. I don’t know how it could be any more clear cut on the coaches.
