  1. So, you don’t want him because you think he won’t be able to stay healthy? Yep super original and definitely needed it’s own thread.
  2. I don’t think it’s THAT flexible. He’s pretty clearly saying to me that it would take a much higher than market value offer to move off the pick. It’s for sale the same way your house is for sale even though you don’t have it on the market and aren’t thinking about selling it. Yeah, if somebody knocked on your door and offered you $10m for your 2bd 2ba bungalow in Concord, you’d take it. That doesn’t mean you’re thinking of selling it, but there’s no reason to dissuade people from making you an offer you can’t refuse.
  3. Is it just me or does it just make sense? In the stands cheering at professional wrestling just seems like his natural habitat.
  4. What narrative? You gotta be kinda dumb to think that whole I’ll pick up the phone bit means anything. Just take a second and think I don’t even know what to say this is just so stupid.
  5. Lol it’s like if you asked me if I was going to drink a bottle of water I was holding, and I was like “Yeah, but if you want to offer me $1,000 for it it’s not like I’m saying no.” It’s just common sense, doesn’t mean I’m open to selling the water for it’s actual value, or even necessarily a little bit more than it’s value.
  6. Yeah I just didn’t find that especially relevant since it is his stance on literally every player and every draft pick always. You can quote his whole presser if you want idc.
  7. He also said they weren’t planning on trading out of #1 and they have conviction on a guy. Sounds like they are pretty much decided barring some catastrophic turn of events.
  8. Oh poo, sounds like they’re definitely going to be drafting at least a couple guys.
  9. I don’t know where the narrative comes from that he has to do some big wind up for down field throws. I’ve seen him pretty effortlessly throw a ball with relatively low trajectory 50 air yards. That’s plenty of arm strength. All I see with the stepping in complaint is you don’t like proper form for some reason. There’s plenty of guys with big arms that over rely on those arms and get in bad habits throwing off their back foot, or don’t develop the same level of touch that the more “average” armed QBs do. He’s got plenty of arm.
  10. poo have him training at Auburn in the off-season. Something in the water there. Bo Jackson, Frank Thomas, Cam Newton, sheesh.
  11. Oh really Cliff you want to study Kerr and Budenholzer to see how they’ve been doing things? You’ve been coaching how long now? Kerr’s been with the Warriors winning championships how long? NOW you want to try to learn from some other coaches? Really? REALLY? It don’t matter though, our GM wants to use all our money to keep together the 4th worst record team in the league. Probably one of the 2 worst teams in the league but the other teams are at least smart enough to tank.
  12. You know Bryce Young was officially measured by unbiased 3rd parties at the combine right?
  13. Matt Rhule and his staff of amateurs had more leaks than a sinking ship.
  14. I don’t think we would miss Thomas or Tremble if either were cut.
  15. It sounds like Fitt and Reich finally had their meeting to talk about who they liked, and it was like “say who your crush is on 3. 1…2..” and they both say Bryce Young and start high fiving and grab assing.
  16. Maybe, they weren’t really on my radar, I guess it all depends if Jordan Love is any good or not.
  17. No, I just don’t think teams necessarily say that a lot when it doesn’t make sense to say it, and I don’t think it makes much sense for the Texans to say it to Young. There’s not really anything for them to gain from saying it. I doubt teams were having those conversations with Burrow when everybody knew he was going #1. And I think Jalen Carter is kind of a fool for doing what he did after a disastrous couple months and I don’t trust his judgment so I don’t think it’s a given at all that he has guarantees.
  18. Matt Corral? Based on what? I’m rooting for Corral, he’s a Panther and he got put in a shitty situation, but he has done literally nothing in the pros and his college tape couldn’t get him drafted higher than the third round.
  19. I think the Texans are dumb enough to say that, so who knows. But imagine you’re the Texans, you profess your undying love to Bryce Young, then the Panthers take him and you have to take CJ Stroud because you can’t get what you want in a trade down. Like every GM ever, you go to the podium and talk up your pick and assure your fan base that you got the guy you wanted. Then it comes out that you told Young he was your #1, and in fact would have preferred to trade down than draft Stroud. Not a good look.
  20. For me it is this combined with the reports of the Texans shopping the #2 pick. I don’t think the Texans would give him a guarantee because they wouldn’t want that getting out of the Panthers take Young and then they take Stroud, they would want the narrative to be that they got “their guy”. So if Young thinks there’s a possibility of dropping to 2, and he has no guarantee from the Texans, and the Texans are open to trading out of #2, then Young would want to continue meeting with teams that could potentially trade into #2.
  21. Idk they were .500ish with Taylor Heineke and no Chase Young most of last season, I just figure they’ll be about the same if not a little better. Ron may not be a consistently great coach, but he consistently gets enough out of his players to hover around .500
  22. Big congrats to whoever bet Young back when Stroud was the betting favorite. I thought that would have been a great bet to make but I don’t do much gambling.
