  1. Don’t give him clicks. Why does the Charlotte Observer have to be so poo. Y’all remember when they published that letter from the Titans karen about Cam Newton? That ain’t a local newspaper, it’s just another example of northerners who hate our state ruining everything.
  2. https://www.businessinsider.com/aaron-rodgers-throws-interceptions-in-practices-2015-8?amp I’m concerned about this Aaron Rodgers guy throwing INTs in practice as well. Not worried, mind you.
  3. That’s been my biggest concern with switching to the 3-4, especially with getting the Falcons on the road week 1.
  4. Reporter asks Von Bell to compare Bryce Young to Joe Burrow. ESPN: “Von Bell compared Young to Burrow!”
  5. Schedule makers boned us. We get all the teams that should be about as good week 1 as week 10 pre-bye, and we get the teams that need more time like the Colts and Texans later on our schedule.
  6. Elon Musk has 0% chance of making this roster.
  7. I think Bryce was a bit self conscious about his song selection and didn’t realize that would get out of the locker room. I remember being his age and having a Mariah Carey cd that I liked but was too embarrassed to put in my car cd case that my friends would see. I have no idea what Steve was doing either. Maybe Bryce got ribbed by his teammates for it already and was just in that head space. It seems like he and Smith have a fine relationship, Bryce was comfortable enough to check him a little and Steve tried to help Bryce feel less self conscious about it and they were able to bring it back to center in the end.
  8. I’m guessing Irsays recent remarks had something to do with this.
  9. Boy you know that was hot out there in that heat in the sun standing over a grill. Probably not their best idea after practice, Mingo didn’t seem like he wanted to be doing that all that much lol. The setup of Mingo grilling while Moose talked to the back of his head was pretty awkward too. Glad to have content to watch though.
  10. Bears rookie RT Darnell Wright accidentally trained for their WR conditioning test somehow and lost 16lbs lol. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2023/07/28/bears-darnell-wright-accidently-trained-for-wide-receiver-conditioning-test-training-camp/ Of course they are spinning it positively, but it’s not a given that weight loss is always positive on the OL.
  11. He also has a lower win % than Adam Gase.
  12. I had 10 minutes of ads for every 2 minutes of programming ESPN radio on in the car and heard Sean Payton say he was going to apologize to Saleh and Hackett “when the time is right”…but not right now. I just burst out laughing. He’s gotta be coked out if his mind.
  13. I think most of them work out, I just don’t know what the work outs are. There seems to be a disproportionate amount of injuries in camp compared to the rest of the off-season. They need to re-think things next CBA. Players perspective has always been pushing for more pay with less mandatory training camps, practices, full pads/full contact days, etc. but I think they may not have found the right balance currently. I’m also sick of talking about guys still trying to find their rhythm, offensive lines gelling, fully opening the playbook, etc. weeks into the regular season.
  14. Matt Rhule would have buried him just like he did with Corral and we’d be sitting here in the same position with Bryce Young and Howell instead of Corral just hoping he shows enough in preseason to develop some trade value.
  15. He’s always been a grade A douchebag. Looks like his time off from coaching did nothing good for him, even more fat headed than before. Why would you as a coach give a team you’re gonna play bulletin board material like that? What a moron. I wish him and that pos franchise nothing but the worst.
  16. No worries, it’s not super clear that you need to keep reading with how they word it at the top.
  17. You aren’t reading the rule right. Not all hits to defenseless players are illegal. He doesn’t have to become a runner first to hit him. Read that whole page and watch the video. Part B defines what is an illegal hit to a defenseless player. Part A is just defining what is a defenseless player. “Prohibited contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture is: forcibly hitting the defenselessplayer’s head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder, even if the initial contact is lower than the player’s neck, and regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenselessplayer by encircling or grasping him lowering the head and making forcible contact with the crown or ”hairline” parts of the helmet against any part of the defenselessplayer’s body illegally launching into a defenselessopponent. It is an illegal launch if a player (i) leaves both feet prior to contact to spring forward and upward into his opponent, and (ii) uses any part of his helmet to initiate forcible contact against any part of his opponent’s body.”
  18. The part you quoted is just part of defining the defenseless posture. You have to go down to part B to see what hits are illegal to players in a defenseless posture. Edit to add: The video in that link is helpful too. They show an example of a legal hit to a defenseless receiver who is trying to catch a ball.
  19. Man I’m a Bryce stan and have been since pre draft and I don’t see what the problem is with analyzing a throw. The db was clearly in a position to time a big hit as the ball arrived, which is legal depending on the hit and as long as he times it right. I’m pretty sure the defenseless receiver rule is you can’t hit a defenseless player in the head or with your helmet, but you can still lay big hits legally as they are catching the ball if you avoid those things. For me that doesn’t mean it’s a poorly thrown ball or whatever, but it’s ok to look at it and say that it looks like something could be improved because in a game Chark might get lit up there. The route could have been slightly off. The throw could have been slightly off. It could have all been perfect and everybody was doing their jobs. I’m just glad Bryce walked into training camp solo today so we didn’t have to deal with people analyzing how small he looked beside some other player.
  20. I agree with you on this. I’m sure the coaches and everybody on the field, including Bryce, know. It may not be that Bryce didn’t see the db, maybe he just thought he couldn’t get there. He would have arrived just as the ball did so it could just be misjudging that split second difference. It takes time for rookies to fully adjust to the physical and speed difference of the NFL vs college.
