    We haven’t been winning for years under many different coaches/systems. I think the rot was widespread from FO to coaches to players and the locker room. When you cut out rot you gotta cut deep and wide.

    It’s not even accurate though. We got hosed hard enough without omitting things to make it look worse. Yeah if I were somebody who didn’t keep up with the Panthers enough to know how intellectually dishonest this was I’d be clowning us too. Pretty lame.

    Going into year 3 with Rhule was the worst. Getting rid of a bunch of players from a terrible team to bring in different players gives me hope. So weird all the hand wringing over guys who were legitimately terrible or admitted to playing lazy bum-ass football to avoid injury. Luvu the only one I’m sad to see go.

    Luvu the only one I really wish we’d kept but we have no idea what’s happening behind the scenes and whether he even wanted to be here so I’m not going to pull my hair out over it.

    That logic goes both ways. He’s also only worth a 2nd and a 5th since that’s all somebody was willing to give for him by that same logic.

    After Burns admitted to mailing it in last year and playing not to get injured, do you really think he’s going to do much different on the franchise tag? We can find a one dimensional 7 sack pass rusher for much cheaper.

    Problem is, Burns is closer to a dime than a quarter, IMO. He’s maybe like a 15 cent piece who wants to be paid like a quarter.

    ESPN article said the only position he hasn’t played along the OL is LG. Expect him to be on the right. Forget Austin Corbett exists.

    Corbett tore his ACL and MCL in back to back seasons, and looked terrible last season before reinjuring the knee after taking longer to come back than expected. In what world should he be relied upon to do anything other than ride the pine?

    He was terrible last season, but I didn’t think he would be outright cut. Is this confirmed yet?

    Calling Jeudy a star WR is quite the reach.

    What would we ever do without the Teppers bringing music to Charlotte! I remember back before they bought the team, the whole city was in black and white. Now, everything is in color! The economic impact of being able to give the Teppers more money for the privilege of watching Ariana Grande gyrate just can’t be understated. Remember how the whole city was a slum? Now everybody lives in a mansion.

    Just imagine how bad you have to be in practice to not earn more of a role in last years offense as the only guy on the whole unit with any sort of speed. And while he had a couple nice punt returns, there were so many that I just had to close my eyes because he fielded a punt he should have fair caught and got blasted as the ball hit his hands.

    With how bad this offense was at every single position last season, if they spend #33 on an edge I’m going to mint and pissing on the doormats.

    I’d be happy with a first and third for him after this past season and his unreasonable contract expectations. Who knows if anybody will even give up that much at this point.

    I see you conveniently left out the part of my post where I talked about actual facts and his stats and said nothing about him being one of the worst players on defense. In response to a post that insinuated he should be basically untouchable as far as trade talks go. We turned down 2 firsts and a second and there was about half the board that swore up and down it was the right call and that it was illogical to expect to get another player of his caliber with the draft picks. He’s a 9 sack/yr. pass rush specialist that many on the huddle value as a 12 sack/yr. 3 down complete edge.

    So, after all the hand wringing about Bryce Young not throwing at the combine last year, let’s hear how far some of you are moving Williams, Maye, and Daniels down your draft board. Who is your new number 1 QB this year? Nix? Penix? I’m surprised some of you have been so silent about this huge red flag.
