Haha, what? Because the Jets won their only super bowl appearance all the way back in like the 60s? That’s just a silly statement. The Jet’s are a historically bad franchise and I guarantee we have accomplished way more since 1995 than they have without even looking. That 1 pre merger Super Bowl win is literally their only accomplishment in their entire history, not even another conference championship. Just stop.

Post the Best Sam Darnold to Carolina Memes
WUnderhill replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yo did somebody say “are you dumb?” at the end? -
The fact that it is that easy to watch ALL of his throws from his first 3 seasons says a lot. There’s still not a huge sample size to really judge him on, and his most complete season was with the absolute dregs of the league around him on offense and one of the worst head coaches of all time. It is an absolute shock that the Jets won any games last year. I am cautiously optimistic.

Panthers give Teddy permission to seek a trade
WUnderhill replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
This sounds a lot like Teddy thinks there’s a market for him and the team is just like “go see for yourself buddy, good luck”. Like what, he thinks the team hasn’t been trying to trade him? -
We’ve had a couple but I’m all for another!
-
So then, what are we netting for Teddy and where’s he headed to?
WUnderhill replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, I think best thing we can do is save as much money as possible at this point. I’m hopeful for Darnold. -

You’re out of your damn mind if you think Teddy gets anything close to that. We’d be lucky to get a 5th. Nobody wants teddy checkdown and his contract. -
I didn’t have high hopes of getting him for less than a second round pick. I’m not thrilled about giving up an extra 4th but I get it. We probably could have had him for just this years second, but this is the cost of doing it for 2022. Hopefully he will be a steal for us and our pick will be much lower next year. I told people here previously they were crazy for thinking Darnold would go for just a 3rd or 4th.

I think there used to be a college bball forum, but I haven’t seen it in a while. Is it just me? Plus, everybody knows how hard it is to have an engaging thread in the non Panthers forums because so many fewer people browse. NC is the Mecca of college bball, it’s kind of silly not to engage the huddle as much as possible around the tournament. But then I guess maybe the huddle just isn’t making enough money and nobody cares.

We should have had an NCAA tournament discussion in here from the start. I have no idea what all this butthurt is about.

Don"t Expect Carolina to Trade Up for a QB.
WUnderhill replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
This offense is unwatchable with Teddy at QB. I’d rather watch paint dry. If they don’t find the answer quick they will lose all the momentum and good will left over from having an actual franchise QB, and whatever excitement is left from jettisoning Ron and Marty, and it will hurt their bottom line. I don’t think Tepper will be content to go into the season with Teddy. This upcoming season would probably be the least hopeful one in the past 20 years if that came to fruition. I can’t think of much reason to watch another season of Teddy. -
Looks like I had a post deleted and got a warning for “douchebaggery” for saying they shouldn’t have caved to pressure and kept the Redskins name! Is this what the huddle has come to? What a disgrace.

LaMelo Out For The Rest Of The Season - Fractured Wrist
WUnderhill replied to themikestrick's topic in Charlotte Hornets
We’re definitely not tanking, that’s just not what this team does. This sucks on a lot of levels. -
Not saying they wouldn’t want to sell, just saying your premise that their back is against the wall and they will have to take a low ball offer is incorrect. Plus, low ball offers don’t really work too well when there are multiple buyers. The market dictates the value. If there’s no market I could easily see the Jets choosing to keep Darnold instead of trading him for a 4th round pick or something like that.
-
These guys are on team friendly rookie contracts. They don’t have to sell at all.
-
Darnold. He was the 3rd overall pick just 2 years ago and pretty much everybody is still decently high on him, from the huddle to the media, with most people saying the Jets aren’t really his fault. If you hear all those takes in the media, you’ll probably hear similar around NFL front offices. And I think the huddle is generally overly optimistic about minimizing what we would have to give up to acquire players or draft picks or what we can get in return for players/draft picks.
-
I doubt they let him go for less than a first.
-
Wowwww. He treated his job in the NFL like a 16 yr old dropout might treat a job at Burger King. What a waste.

Careful, don’t express too many differing opinions or the gestapo will lock this thread.

Well, I’m not 25 that’s for sure.

This third allegation is basically rape. Unfortunately, he’s pretty much untouchable until cleared. I of course question the credibility of someone who’s “uncomfortable” or “scared” to press actual criminal charges but perfectly willing to pile onto a civil suit.

I schedule my hair cuts on instagram. It’s actually way easier than calling or whatever else. You get a full view of the calendar and availability and pick your time. I do literally nothing else on Instagram. That’s just the direction things are moving.
