The 133m was just the guaranteed portion. It was 5yrs 250m with 133m guaranteed. He wanted like 240m fully guaranteed. He’s an idiot.
-
Don’t lump Cam in with this idiot.
-
Lol so you think Baltimore was going to match more than what they already offered him? Or do you think he’s now willing to take less money and wants to force Baltimore not to match, even though he has said the reason he is requesting the trade is because Baltimore isn’t offering him enough money? He’s an idiot.
-
I’m confused, does he not realize he’s been available for trade for a while now? I don’t feel bad for him and hope nobody caves to his ridiculous demands like the Browns did with Watson. Imagine turning down an offer that would have made you the highest paid in the league at the time, over $50m/year and over half of it guaranteed. Oh no, the team might cut you in the final year if you’re not performing and you don’t see $20m or some bs? Boo fugging hoo. Pure greed and sheer idiocy.

I’m saying it’s a need, not a luxury pick, so that’s the first thing. And yes, I would value a late 1st/early 2nd WR over an OLB graded around the same spot. You can money ball OLB/pass rusher and get better value in later rounds than you can WR, IMO. You don’t necessarily need a 3 down OLB, you can get guys who are good at specific things and use them situationally. That’s a lot harder to do with WR. With how much we’re investing into our new QB, I’d rather get him a WR or a really good TE as long as the value is there and we aren’t reaching. Especially if we think our first draft pick next year might not be until the middle or even late second round.
-
Luxury how? WR still a huge need. Chark is on a 1 yr contract, Thielen is old, TMJ yet to show anything, Shi Smith would be cut on a lot of rosters. And oh yeah, no 1st next year.

Live video of Fitterer / Reich making the trade to #1
WUnderhill replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
According to this movie’s logic that would lead to the Texans calling us and being all flustered like “Omg, what do you know that we don’t!?” And they’ll proceed to trade us pick #2 for nothing because they are scared lol. -
We’ve seen what it looks like when Fitt aggressively pursues a player/draft pick. The Carr “interest” seemed to be more along the lines of kicking the tires and due diligence. He’s said all along his ideal is to draft and develop a QB.
-
Yeah I get that part of it, that’s what makes it so cringey.
-
Oof, these are so cringe. He’s not interviewing for a 30k/yr salaried desk jockey position. But hey, at least he didn’t include some dumb question about his emotional intelligence like he did Stroud.

Looking at Success or Failure of top 10 to 12 QBs since 2000
WUnderhill replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
How is Vick great, and 3 hofers (Manning, Rivers, Ben) are just good? I haven’t made it past that tbh, just glad this isn’t somebody trying to be a total wet blanket. -
Levis: “I’ll have the 40 day dry aged tomahawk ribeye.” Tepper: “Haha, that’s funny Will. He’ll have the chicken cutlet.”

This is why Bryce Young undoubtedly is QB1
WUnderhill replied to Ivory Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s clearly a style of play and skills issue, not just size. Sure, if Cam was Young’s size and played the way he played, he probably would have gotten injured more. Young does not play the way Cam played, and he is much better at manipulating the pocket. Cam was one of those stand tall and deliver the ball even if you take the hit QBs. A lot of the bigger QBs seem like they take more big hits than necessary just because they know they can. Maybe it’s just as valuable to have a smaller QB who avoids the big hits because he knows he can’t take them. Look at how he plays, not his size. If he’s taking too many big hits, that’s a problem no matter how big he is. -

Team knows his weight. They could have brought a damn scale to dinner if they wanted lol. This is just ridiculous. -

I can pretty much guarantee the team knows his weight if they want to know it. Guarantee team doctors have looked at his shoulder and everything. Makes no sense to think the team has no idea what’s going on with his body. -
What’s that chicken doing?
-
Yeah they basically implying that his normal playing weight is him in a cut and dehydrated lol. Pretty ridiculous for football. Unless they think he ate a 15lb steak right before stepping on the scale. Idk.
-
This is what scares the poo out of me. I’m fine with whoever we choose as long as it’s Reich and Fitterer making the decision. I hope the Tepper’s “input” is nothing more than them listening to the real football people.
-
Pretty sure everybody knows they’re working out in shorts. Nobody’s forcing you to be here Francis.

I got a picture of the football Bryce Young will be throwing with today.

McCown to CJ : “Maybe when you move to Charlotte”
WUnderhill replied to TheWiz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lol McCown certainly was having a hard time saying good bye. A little awkward. I didn’t hear “maybe when you move to Charlotte.” It was mumbled and hard to decipher, but I don’t think that is what was said. -
Panthers to Send 11 Representatives to Ohio St Pro Day
WUnderhill replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
Guess it’s a good thing this guy isn’t asking the questions. A healthy oppression with football? Give me multiple examples of your emotional intelligence? Barf. -
What I think is happening with the team's "QB debate" (theory)
WUnderhill replied to XClown1986's topic in Carolina Panthers
According to my sources within the organization, the reason he goes by CJ is that growing up as a farm hand it was his responsibility to make sure there were always enough barn cats to keep the rodent population down. Well, there was an issue in summer of ‘09. The cats stopped breeding. Nobody could explain it. CJ (then known as little Jimmy), being the outstanding young man that he was, devised a genius plan. Each morning he would take the male cats into a room and go to work. They said when the door to that room opened it was like a stampede as the male cats couldn’t get to the female cats fast enough. Thus the legend of the Cat Jacker (CJ for short) was born. I’m told that story of selfless heroism is a big reason why he’s being considered for the #1 sales job with the Catalina Panters.
