Oh maybe I mistook what I saw.
-
I think I just saw all the Texans have left is 2 7th rd picks, so they just traded their whole draft for this.
-
Holy crap, that’s a MOVE by the Texans.

Round 1 - The Carolina Panthers Select Bryce Young - QB - Alabama
WUnderhill replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m shocked! If only there was some hint that Bryce Young might be the pick! -
It’s official, they got their guy!
-
Shaking hands in the draft room. Pick is in.
-
They just showed Panthers draft room and they had Bryce Young on their tv screen lol.

Philadelphia’s ability to acquire picks at the top of the round when they just went to a super bowl is fugging stupid.

Still deciding which network to watch tonight?
WUnderhill replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
ABC because antenna and no cable. However, we get some free live tv with our smart tv. There’s the NFL Channel and their draft coverage is called NFL Draft Center. If it is actually showing picks live and not just talking about them I may watch that. -
I would think if you’re Houston and not drafting a QB this year, you’d be looking to build the rest of the team and make a run at a top QB next year with a much better situation for them to step into. I don’t see how Mac Jones makes any sense for them. But hey, it’s Houston.

I think it would be a great move to wait until after the draft to trade a 2024 pick for Hopkins. But that would also probably mean we didn’t draft a WR this year, so we’ll see how it all shakes out. A true top end #1 is what we’re missing, so I don’t know how beneficial it is to draft another mid level type guy. If Chark stays healthy and TMJ becomes the guy we drafted him to be under the right coaching and with the right opportunity, the WR room could get overcrowded with too many #2 type guys and slot guys.

Agreed, though to be fair the only reason he was available so late in the draft was because of character concerns. I remember at the time he was viewed as first round talent by a lot of folks. So in a way he lived up to his draft profile exactly, just glad we were able to milk a couple years out of that crazy.

Feel free to ignore the huddle and go commiserate on Twitter or something. Young’s size has been talked about since before we even traded up. There have been countless counterpoints made to the injury arguments. You don’t have to accept them, you are clearly set in your view no matter what anybody says or thinks, but wtf is there to gain by bringing it up over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over. The debate is over, you’re not convinced and you’re not convincing anybody, just let it go. We’ll see tonight if our all-star QB expert coaches and front office thinks like you or not, but all signs point to them disagreeing with you completely. People here are trying to be positive and excited about Young because it seems very clear he is the pick. We get it, you’re smarter than our coaches, just don’t be surprised when people get fed up with your incessant nagging pessimism.

I’m not really on either side when it comes to Rodgers vs. Packers, but I will say that article title and tweet is bs. I read the article, and I don’t really understand that title based on Rodgers’ comments. It’s clear he was getting at something about how he wanted to be communicated with. It’s been clear for years that there have been break downs on both sides between he and that organization.

Pshhh. We only traded away a 2nd round pick to move up for Edwards. Great value when compared to trading a first round pick to move up for Everette Brown!
-
We already spent a 3rd round pick on Corral last year when we were missing 2nd and 4th rd picks from the Darnold trade, and gave up a fifth for Mayfield, how many picks you want us to spend on QBs lol.

Set it in stone: Your Panthers draft predictions
WUnderhill replied to Khyber53's topic in Carolina Panthers
Here’s my dream draft of reasonable possibility, though it seems like the team might like Ojulari more than Sanders at 39, and I’m not sure if they are looking at any of my guys from 3rd round on: First Round: Pick 1: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama Second Round: Pick 39: Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas Third Round: Pick 93: Zach Kuntz, TE, Old Dominion Fourth Round: Pick 114: Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU Fourth Round: Pick 132: Andrew Vorhees, OL, USC Fifth Round: Pick 145: Jaquelin Roy, DL, LSU
