  1. No, what people are saying is that if Wembanyama is tier 1, and Scoot and Miller are together in tier 2, then you take the better fit. You’re acting like there’s no debate who is the better prospect. I just looked at 4 big boards, not mock drafts, 2 had Scoot at 2, 2 had Miller at 2. It is, at the very least, debatable. If it’s close, you take the better fit who doesn’t force you to move on from your other top 3 pick. That’s a huge negative in return on Scoot. I’d rather trade the #2 pick to the Rockets for a haul than take Scoot and trade Lamelo for not even close to what he should be worth. Or, you take the SF with Paul George comps because true star SFs allow you to compete for championships.
  2. Who is saying pass on the better player for need?
  3. Trade him for what exactly? They won’t get an unprotected pick from the Rockets or Pistons or some other team looking to pick top 5. And this franchise can’t draft for poo. So we trade him and use some low lottery pick to draft another Bouknight/Monk/Kaminsky/Washington/Vonleh? Or better yet, our dumbass GM trades the pick to a title contender for a late first and a bunch of seconds. No thanks.
  4. Seems like a sure fire way to push Lamelo out would be to draft his replacement rather than the guy who works best with him. Lamelo is a good piece I’m not sure why we wouldn’t do everything we can to keep him here.
  5. If the goal is winning championships, why draft a Russell Westbrook? He couldn’t even figure it out with KD.
  6. The inverse Bryce Young lol. Missed opportunity.
  7. Not sure I’ll ever get over that. Just mind boggling. Called it when it happened nothing to do with hindsight.
  8. #2 is much better than I was expecting! Of course it would have been nice to get #1, but I just didn’t have high hopes for that happening. Here’s hoping the Hornets don’t screw it up.
  9. If my grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike.
  10. You’re gonna have to define “lots”. Bryce was the consensus #1 QB on every consensus big board I’ve looked at, and the #1 overall prospect on many. He was the clear cut #1 DESPITE the size. He was the QB teams were trying to trade up to #1 for. Our team scouts, coaches, and FO were unanimous. People need to drop the narrative that there was no clear top prospect this year because it’s just not true. Just think how good he is to be the consensus top prospect in a good QB class despite his size.
  11. Yeah, it was clear Corral was not a Rhule pick. I’m sure Howell would have been treated the same and we’d be sitting right here saying the same things about Howell that we’re saying about Corral.
  12. To be fair to OP, I believe he is referring to another thread where somebody said he had a dumb take for suggesting Dalton shouldn’t see the field vs the Saints week 2 because Young should be starting. Now, creating a thread anytime a vocal minority make silly statements: ill advised.
  13. Why would he be less ready week 2 than Dalton? They are both on a new team, learning a new playbook. A playbook designed for Bryce, btw, not Dalton. We drafted this guy in no small part based on his processing and preparation. If he’s less ready than Dalton, we’ve got problems.
  14. A lot of people don’t pay for that trash network. And there is competition, the Steelers are kicking off an hour later on the more accessible network. The Steelers of all teams. Might as well have made it Steelers v Redskins to complete the FU to Panthers fans who hate how big those fan bases are in the Carolinas.
  15. Wtf are they even talking about? Downgrade from who? Baker, PJ, Sam, or Dalton? Legit question. Nobody click that dogshit clickbait link.
  16. I just don’t know how our coaches, scouts, front office, and all the teams trying to trade up to #1 to draft this guy somehow completely overlooked his height and weight. It’s baffling to me. I mean, if only they had seen him behind an O-Line they could have made the simple observation that at first contact he will break every bone in his body and be concussed ten times on every single hit.
  17. Well shoot guess we gotta cut the 80 air yard throws to Tyreek Hill out of the play book. Definitely need to force safeties to play off far enough to not get beat on 80 yd bombs in today’s NFL, that’s definitely a thing. It’s just not enough for them to have to respect a 60 yd throw. Jeez the things some of you find to complain about.
  18. I remember when we got a former t10 CB for peanuts. Don’t mean poo.
  19. I’ve seen plenty of C grades for their draft if you want to go by the media. I’d put them at a D personally. Second, and again this is if you want to go by the media, Wright, Dexter, and Pickens were all big reaches based on consensus big boards. Especially Wright being the second tackle off the board ahead of Skoronski and Jones, pretty much everybody had him rated behind those guys. So they passed on a media consensus top 5 player (Carter) to take a consensus 20-25ish ranked prospect at 10 overall ahead of 2 guys at his position that the media consensus had ranked above him. Looking at both the NFL Mock Draft Database Consensus and the Pro Football Network Industry Consensus for reference. Dexter was a consensus 3rd round grade that they took like 20 spots too soon with one analyst saying he had the worst get off he had EVER seen from a DT. And again, they could have had the top 3 tech in the draft at 9. So what changed? Why would the Bears be getting good grades for drafting these guys when the media consensus pre draft would have said these were reaches? I think there’s a pretty large push from the media to make the Bears relevant again, and a big narrative push for Poles being some amazing GM. If you didn’t notice the media shift in how DJ Moore was viewed as a WR the second he was traded to the Bears, I can’t help you.
  20. Michael Jordan the basketball player was a better baseball player than Michael Jordan the football player is a football player.
  21. What’s the link for? I think they fumbled the draft. You can have your opinion, I have mine. Passed on Carter for a RT then drafted a DT with motor issues. You can grade them high if you want.
  22. It’s the NFL, so it’s possible, but they were just the legit worst team in the league this past year and weren’t trying to tank. They took a couple players from us, another team picking in the top 10, and fumbled the draft IMO. What warrants such a statement?
