  1. He had a few of those. Sione Fua. Nate Chandler. Not Byron Bell of course, we all know he got his opportunities based on him being left handed and able to dance.
  2. I’m shocked how many fat lazy players we had in that era. You’d think we had a GM who was just obsessed with size and ignored everything else. At least Trai and Short were motivated enough to get to their first big payday before giving up unlike some others. Or maybe that’s a bad thing. I’m not sure.
  3. Definitely. It was funny watching in real time how much better DJ Moore got in the media’s eyes the second he was traded to the Bears. You’d think we gave up Jerry Rice.
  4. Why doesn’t Daniel Jones give him some of that money? How is it the GMs fault for giving the deal they had to give in negotiations? GM probably wanted to give Jones less than he got, and Jones probably wanted more than he got, and they met somewhere in the middle. It’s not like Jones came in and said “I want x” and GM said “That’s not enough, double it!” It’s up to the QBs to take less money if they want that money more evenly distributed throughout the team. There’s a salary cap and salary floor, they know the deal.
  5. The media has been hyping them up since they traded the pick. I don’t get it either. Fields has yet to prove he can even be an above average passer in the NFL. They were the actual worst team in football last year and they drafted a RT in the top 10, added DJ Moore and D’onte Foreman, and some linebackers. I don’t see how that gets them into the playoffs unless Justin Fields all of a sudden becomes Peyton Manning, or the rest of their division is a dumpster fire. I think they could be picking t5 next year…with their own pick.
  6. Might as well own speaking for them, that’s how we got here to begin with. How many Native Americans did you see on ESPN banging the drum for the name change? And oh lawd “The Natives” would have been lambasted lol.
  7. Will there be photos and on-site observations this year or are those gone forever? Was hoping they might come back with the team getting back on the right track.
  8. Jordan Addison caught speeding 140 in a 55. That’s some dangerous poo.
  9. 20 years later you decide to make your stand and you can’t even spell the guys name right lol.
  10. Seems like most threads been ending like this recently.
  11. Wtf are you even talking about. I’ve been around here a long time and don’t recall seeing a giant picture of a sex toy with a URL to a porn site until now. But it’s ok to put that on a football forum that is not age restricted and in which children would have no expectation to open a thread and see it because other stuff happens other places and cultures and marvel movies and whatever else wtf are you even talking about. Saying because kids can potentially see it elsewhere does not mean it belongs here what kind of nonsense is that. I don’t care to talk to you about it feel free to put it on the tinderbox if you want, that’s where people expect to see that kind of crap. You’ve said all you need in defending the idea that you don’t care whether somebody else’s kid would unknowingly stumble across what you posted. Yeah yeah fertility sexuality other cultures bla bla bla. It’s a mod issue at this point and it’s messed up that it hasn’t been removed.
  12. Fortunately there’s filters and parental controls until they figure out how to remove those lol. Also, if they google boobs it’s on them, you know what you’re getting. Some unfortunate kid who opens this thread on a football forum, however, does not. Disappointed in it being allowed to remain so long tbh.
  13. Lines get drawn between words and images all the time. I’m just saying. I can handle it I’m grown, but just a few weeks ago I remember seeing a guy on here saying his 12 year old son lurks the huddle. It’s a football forum with mods and no “18 or older” warning. I think some vulgarity is expected because it’s the internet, but having a pornographic image front and center on page 1 of a thread is crossing a line IMO.
  14. It should be criminalized so that cities who make the right decisions for their taxpayers aren’t held hostage, especially now that there have been studies which show that the business and revenue generated absolutely do not make up for it. It is a gross misuse of taxpayer money, and the taxpayer gets nothing in return. Like the least they could do is drop ticket prices for local residents. Say they get 40% funded by the city, then city residents should get 40% cheaper tickets or something.
  15. He went from Snow to White. I feel like he’s trying to tell us something I just don’t know what it is.
  16. I really don’t understand why Nnaji hasn’t gotten more minutes as the only big on the roster. I don’t keep up super closely with the other teams, but I’d be shocked if we weren’t the worst coached team in the league.
  17. Cam was on the final year of his contract, the prudent decision would be to let him play it out and see if he could still be your franchise QB. If so, great, if not, then you’re probably in position to draft your next QB. Cocky dumbass Rhule wanted to remove past leadership from the locker room and at the same time thought he could game the system and take a shortcut on a rebuild. In his mind, Teddy wasn’t a career back up, he just needed a savant like Rhule. Then the next year, Sam wasn’t a bad QB, he just needed Rhule’s coaching and culture. Rinse and repeat with Baker. Rhule was always the hero in his own mind. That’s why I can’t get on the “don’t give him a hard time he was just a guy trying his best” train. His hubris (funny he mentioned that) is what kept us from moving forward as a franchise. Also, when the guy is taking vacations during bye weeks as a losing coach and then returning from vacation and firing coordinators who stayed and worked during the bye, he gets no credit for working hard.
  18. I actually think it’s kind of bad considering Nnaji is the only big we have on the summer league roster and we played him limited minutes. He’ll have more trouble once actual NBA teams start rotating multiple large bodies.
  19. I think the media is setting fans up for some disappointment with him, at least in year 1. If he can’t back Brandon Miller down in the post he’s going to have a tough time with many of the guys he plays against, and a 6’10 guy with muscle and man strength should be able to bully him under the basket on offense. Heck, the ESPN guys were saying before the game yesterday that their minimum “reasonable” expectations for him that game was a double double. We see how that went. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he doesn’t end up in the rookie of the year conversation. I think the Spurs will have him on strict minutes as well. That being said, he looks like a great prospect and if he can add strength and stay healthy I would expect him to have a huge impact in years to come.
  20. Wemby said after the game that every time he came out he was gassed and that he needs to work on his conditioning. He said it was a lot more running and transition basketball than he was used to. Imagine the field day the Miller haters would have if he said something like that even though he is still recovering from mono. All these guys are going to be adjusting from 15-30 game seasons to 82. That’s a huge adjustment and it is harder for the bigger players. The NBA regular season is a slog even from a fan’s perspective, I can’t imagine what it’s like for the players. I wish they would reduce the amount of games so that there was less of guys taking games off and each game mattered a little bit more but it won’t happen.
  21. Jumping to the conclusion that grown adults bullied his kids based off those comments is wild.
