I mean I get it but they rewarded the awful underthrow from Bridgewater. Consistency would be nice but we’ve all been Panthers fans long enough to know it won’t happen. -

How is CJ Henderson who is legitimately playing the ball and has the WR fall backwards into him a PI and whoever that Lions guy is not even looking back just throwing his arms randomly up in the air running face first into our WR not a PI? -

I was talking about the PI play so I guess we’re talking different plays. -

I’m not a Henderson apologist, but he literally hit the ball out with his hand. He played the route right and Teddy did what Teddy does and underthrew it. -

He absolutely will. I don’t think this is the type of defense that looks good running vanilla. -

Do we get a wild card spot in the pre season playoffs if we win this game? -

Mingo slipped on his route. Can’t wait for the anti Bryce contingent spin on the incompletion. -

I wish I could say I was surprised at some of the posters on here who can’t distinguish a throw away from an actual attempt at a completion. -

What fugging game are you watching? -
Did we just pass drafting Cam Newton Jr….

I’d say way less likely than Young becoming the next Brees. Josh Allen is a historical anomaly in terms of what he’s done in the pros compared to college in regards to completion percentage, which historically QBs don’t drastically improve their completion percentage from college to pros. Young gets the Brees comp based on what he’s shown. Richardson gets the Allen comp based on what he hasn’t shown. -
NONE of the preseason games are meaningful. By your reasoning he shouldn’t play in ANY preseason game. You have failed to provide any reason why this last one should be treated differently than the others. There are 16 days between the final pre season game and the first regular season game. If he gets injured he can’t play…no poo. If he gets a season ending injury in the first pre season game he can’t play either. There’s only 3 games now instead of 4. The third game used to be the dress rehearsal and then the starters sat in the 4th game. You remove the 4th game and what do you have…3rd game is still the dress rehearsal you just cut the 4th game that nobody was using.

I think mindset wise they didn’t go into the Jets game expecting the d-line to be running stunts. Yes, they should still be picking them up, but I can also see how you go into a game thinking you’re just going to be working on your slide step in pass pro or whatever and not necessarily on your toes for any and everything like you might be a regular season game. And I heard somebody on the radio mention how Wink Martindale of the Giants is one of the most aggressive blitzers of the past 15 years or so and doesn’t believe in toning it down for pre-season. It’d be great if he and the rest of the OL looked better, and there’s been lapses in 1 on 1 battles as well (albeit against a t5 draft pick), but there’s enough to consider situationally that nobody should be panicking. I’m very confident it’s not as bad as it has looked. We’ll just have to see how things progress.

Because he’s been bad enough that the best they could get for him was a 7th rounder. If a player’s been in the NFL for 3 years I prefer the GM evaluate him based on NFL tape, not draft position. Matt Rhule believed in trading for other teams failed draft picks.

I mean it goes without saying they would trade Matt Corrall if somebody offered enough ever since they drafted Bryce. This shouldn’t be news to anyone. Doubt anybody is offering much.
