I’m generally against breaching contracts. However, contracts usually include whatever penalty or recourse there is for breaching, so as long as the breaching party pays the damages or whatever it is without making everybody pay attorneys fees and whatnot for a judge to enforce the contract then it’s whatever. In the case of NFL players the only time it really feels slimy is when a player signs a long term deal and then wants to renegotiate before the end of the deal just because other salaries have gone up or the market has changed (see Zack Martin). Like you wanted the long term deal for security and the team wanted it to have a more team friendly contract at the end. If you wanted to renegotiate in a few years you should have signed a shorter contract.

Duke beating Clemson is absolutely terrible for the ACC.

THE PICK IS IN documentary on this year's draft
WUnderhill replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
I watched it. It is on the Roku channel app that comes auto installed with any Roku or Roku TV. I didn’t feel it was very worth the time. I don’t think I saw any Panthers footage we haven’t had access to for a long time, and overall the amount of time they spent on the Panthers compared to the Colts and Cowboys was extremely lacking. Basically nothing past the Young pick, especially noticeable was there was absolutely zero coverage on the DJ Johnson pick. They did spend a lot of time on the Colts and it was moderately interesting to watch the Texans picks from their perspective, but I suspect for Colts fans it was all stuff they had seen already just like all the Panthers footage was stuff that we’ve already seen. They also spent a lot of time on the Cowboys (shocker) and the Vaughn pick. A lot of time was spent on stupid stuff like Ian Rappaports lunch and just stroking various media and celebrity egos and trying to make them look cool and important. -
I remember when Belichik snaked Tyler Gaffney that one time and people around here were saying some of this same stuff. Turns out it wasn’t some genius move after all. I also don’t think Belichik is what he once was and been drinking too much of his own koolaid.

Tying Fitterer to Rhule is just weird, IMO. Fitt didn’t hire Rhule, he was saddled with him. And we all know Rhule had more power than he deserved. Only Fitt, Rhule, and Tepper know which decisions were from whom, but I think who is still here and who isn’t is a pretty good indicator. I’m pretty confident this is the first off-season/season in which Fitterer has gotten to be a full GM and do things his way. He’s best judged on results from here forward.

Bryce was listed at 6’0 just sayin…

I have no idea what his actual height is. Just a half joke based on what seems to be a fairly common 1-2inch drop from college height on these shorter guys. Point is, Williams and Maye will start getting picked apart like everybody else when that time rolls around.

Just wait until Caleb Williams measures 5’11 at the combine.

Yeah they should have signed Justin Jefferson /s The team did what it could. They drafted the best WR on their board with their highest pick after #1, signed two former pro bowl WRs in FA, a pass catching TE, and have a 3rd year 2nd round WR they’re high on. I’m not sure what else people want. The only option I’ve seen people talk about is Hopkins, but we really have no idea whether the team looked into him or not and whether he would have considered us (though his public comments suggest not.) People act like free agents just have no say in where they will go and the Panthers get first dibs on every player they want. If you want to say signing Chark was a mistake then why don’t you fill me in on all the great alternatives.

They were clearly planning to cut him so something > nothing. -

You joke, but this gives us a better shot at Mr. Irrelevant which means maybe we can finally get our QB of the future! -
Was he who we do not speak of in the stadium last night?

And a Kelvin Benjamin jersey just a few rows up lol. -
Are they all franchise QBs? I assume you must be in the crowd of thinking that just because of outliers like Tom Brady you can just get a franchise QB whenever you please. Brock Purdy is in that list of QBs you mentioned. I suppose we can just make Mr. Irrelevant a good QB whenever we want because that’s definitely how things work. It’s so easy to get QBs up and down the draft, how’s Corral working out? Will Grier? Tony Pike? Jimmy Clausen? Do we need to keep going? No, what you were talking about is trying to get Maye or Williams, as if we could just hire a HC and attract a decent staff and ask them to tank. Or do you believe it’s every year the team picking #1 with a legit #1 QB available would trade the pick? You’re either a troll or just ignorant.

I love how people just assume you can pick and choose which draft you will have the ability to choose a franchise QB.

Official Lions at Panthers damn it's hot out GameDay thread
WUnderhill replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean I get it but they rewarded the awful underthrow from Bridgewater. Consistency would be nice but we’ve all been Panthers fans long enough to know it won’t happen. -

How is CJ Henderson who is legitimately playing the ball and has the WR fall backwards into him a PI and whoever that Lions guy is not even looking back just throwing his arms randomly up in the air running face first into our WR not a PI? -

I was talking about the PI play so I guess we’re talking different plays. -
