  1. I still think Trai Turner is our best chance at signing him. And that J.R. is our biggest roadblock and will ultimately cost us Collins.
  2. During the post-draft press conference Gettleman specifically mentioned that Mayo has "good straight-line speed" and will "tag your fanny." Sounds like a special teamer to me.
  3. Was he? There was a lot of talk about whether he might be better suited to play right tackle or guard. I don't think he's a sure bet to be able to play left tackle in the NFL.
  4. My question is: can he play left tackle? If Gettleman/Rivera don't think he's a legitimate left tackle, then I can't see him being brought in. We just drafted Daryl Williams to be the right tackle of the future and guard is set with Turner and Norwell. So unless they feel Collins can be the guy long-term at left tackle, I wouldn't look for him to be signed.
  5. Good trade. Not sure he fills our LT need but he damn sure can play RT at a high level.
  6. What this tells me is Gettleman doesnt see a ton if difference between the guys he felt would be there in the 3rd vs. the 4th.
  7. I don't see a big gap between the WR's we were picking from at 25 and what we'll likely have to pick from tomorrow night. It's always possible there's a run on receivers, but if there's not we'll have a solid chance at landing our #2.
  8. A "reach" is when you reach for positional need. Clearly Shaq doesn't fill an immediate need, therefore he cannot be a reach. If there's any doubt that he was the BPA on or board then it needs to be removed quickly. You don't make a pick like this because you're reaching, you do it because he's your legit BPA.
  9. There will be a DE in there somewhere. I'm almost positive.
  10. PFT is reporting that La'el Collins might not even be drafted with this investigation into his ex-girlfriend's death.
  11. I'd love Shaq at strong safety, but I have questions about his ability to play OLB in the NFL. It's not that I think he'll be awful there, just that he has all-pro potential at safety and I'm not sure that's true of him at linebacker.

  13. Never wanted Crabtree. He's not the same player since his injury. And I always felt he was overrated even before he got hurt.
  14. I'd have no issue trading up for a tackle or wide receiver that I felt was truly worth giving up a 3rd rounder to move up and get. I don't see anyone that is, however, unless Amari Cooper falls. I don't even like Kevin White that much and certainly none of the tackles.
  15. There's not a player in this draft outside of the top-8 picks worth trading up for. I'll be pissed if we give up anymore than a 5th rounder to trade up, regardless of who it's for.
  16. God, I hope not. I'd rather take Cedric Obueghi at 25 than trade up for Peat or Flowers.
  17. I knew he was fast, but if he can run good routes with consistency he could be in the discussion for our 1st rounder.
  18. Just because a back can catch doesn't automatically make him a just a scat back.
  19. I prefer Mike Davis to Buck Allen, but Duke Johnson is going to be a beast in the NFL.
