  1. Traded down twice here, in the 1st and in the 2nd:
  2. Not a fan of Walker Little. We need someone who is ready to start day one with a high floor, not a high ceiling/unknown floor prospect like Little. 1. Sewell 2. Slater 3. Eichenberg 4. Darrisaw 5. Teven Jenkins
  3. If it isn't a QB then it's GOT to be a left tackle.
  4. Taking a break from arguing about the circumstances of the lawsuits for a moment and focusing purely on the football side of this, I wonder if this could potentially end up working out in the Panthers favor? Let's say these allegations are thrown out/dismissed/withdrawn/whatever and Watson is cleared of any wrongdoing, but it doesn't happen until after the draft and therefore the trade talks don't heat back up until then. Could we potentially end up being able to use our draft picks this year to address the OL and add some talent around the QB and THEN make a deal for Watson after the draft, using our future draft picks? That, to me, would be the ideal trade scenario. Imagine if we draft a stud LT in the 1st and a solid guard in the 2nd and maybe a solid TE in the 3rd and then end up trading for Watson in May or June if/when all this mess is cleared up? Obviously that would depend on Watson being cleared and on a deal still being made between us and Houston, but it's certainly something to think about.
  5. I'm not saying it was a good idea, and I'm not saying it was "just" for a massage either. What I am saying is that it doesn't equate to him being some kind of monster or rapist either. And also, if you think he's the only NFL star doing this you're crazy. Most young professional athletes with any profile engage in similar behavior; is this supposed to mean that he's unfit to play in the league now? Or is he just unfit to play for the Panthers now because you're undoubtedly one of the folks who have been against the idea of a big trade? If he is guilty of actual assault or worse then I don't want to ever see him play again and I certainly don't want him on the Panthers at ANY cost. But to say he's somehow unfit to play because he hooks up with women he meets on Instagram is just dumb.
  6. No, it doesn't. It says a lot about how little some folks on here understand how the younger crowd lives these days. It's not what I would have done at age 37 either, but it's also not something that should be considered incriminating for a 25 year old today and I imagine it's more common than you would think among younger players these days. Your argument is like if an Uber driver accused Watson of assaulting them saying "it's irresponsible of him to use uber instead of driving his own car." It's 2021; things are done differently now, especially among younger people. As I've said, it's entirely possible Watson is guilty of wrongdoing here, but there is nothing in the texts released so far that is truly incriminating. Add that to the behavior of this lawyer (not to mention his history of shady tactics and outright lies regarding cases) and there is at least as much reason to be skeptical as there is to be leery of these accusations. Certainly the fact that he used Instagram to set up massages is not a reason in and of itself to be suspect.
  7. Would you have preferred a text saying "hey sorry I slapped you with my dick; we cool?"
  8. lol what? This is how younger folks are doing things now. There's nothing wrong with setting something like this up on Instagram. How many companies/individuals do business on social media these days? Just because he's an NFL star means he can't?
  9. I'm sorry, but if anything those texts do more to clear Watson than anything. Why would he rub his dick on her and then send an incriminating text after the fact apologizing and offering to work together again? Maybe this batshit crazy lawyer does have some actual evidence of wrongdoing, but these texts ain't it. Sounds like, at worst, a misunderstanding.
  10. I agree, which is why I'm on board with giving up whatever it takes to get Watson. You can say what you just said for every draft class, every year. I'd rather bet the farm on as proven a commodity as you'll ever find available for trade at QB.
  11. So... you want to just hope a franchise QB falls into our laps with the 8th pick?
  12. You're not wrong, but there's also the fact that the Jets can just draft Zach Wilson at #2 and use the other picks they have to build around him. They might find that preferable to giving up a ton of picks for Watson.
  13. Mr. Scot is Teddy Bridgewater. Only explanation.
  14. The Jets and Dolphins are also in a FAR better position than we are to draft a young franchise QB without having to trade up. They may not be willing to give up as much since they can just stay where they are and draft Wilson/Fields/Lance. Some of y'all are acting like Jerry Richardson still runs this team. Tepper is going to make this happen if there's any chance at all a deal can be done.
