  1. Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
  2. If the idea is for Renfrow to take Thielen's place... I'd feel more comfortable if I felt Renfrow can actually play an entire season of football. Again, what are we getting in return? Just saying if we got a fourth for Mingo...
  3. I'd ask for a king's ransom. An extra draft pick would be nice, but this receiver room's only real vet without Thielen would be Moore, and that's if we keep him around.
  4. Yeah, I love the guy but the knee is a massive red flag. Who let Hurney back in the building again?
  5. I predict this place to take wild swings with every win and loss.
  6. Canales being a weeny. Let these players who will likely be out of the league shortly have one shot at the endzone.
  7. Perkins has Deshaun Foster levels of ball security. Now that's an old reference.
  8. Jack Plummer threw a touchdown. That is a factual statement.
  9. Well, Plummer completed a pass in the end zone. Maybe one day, to our guy.
  10. Seems that we're allowing way too much penetration on all these preseason run plays.
  11. That or Daniel Jones will remind everyone he is Daniel Jones the quarterback and at some point, you'll turn to anyone that's not Daniel Jones. More speculative based on what happened up to this point, but I feel AR may still be struggling on how to be the type of guy that the locker room wants to follow. Otherwise, it's simply that his accuracy remains poor and it's not looking like a Josh Allen situation where he was the rare exception of fixing that aspect in the pro level.
  12. In fairness to us, Darnold had better players around him than he did here.
  13. If I had a dime every time Daniel Jones found his way to starting an NFL game again...
  14. It would be nice if we don't have new players with promise get hurt and lose valuable development time.
  15. I honestly didn't even realize the game was happening until just now. At least the Huddle is already well in midseason form.
  16. Whether a surprise cut or retirement, Thielen will not be on this roster this time next season. I doubt Moore is much value to keep around long-term and there's a big question mark if Renfrow can even stay healthy. Right there, that's three spots that will be vacated in the foreseeable future. I want both Coker and XL to do well because then if TMac lives up to his potential, the answer to those holes are already on the roster. In my eyes, a TMac/XL/Coker corps is the real goal here. Exactly who is the best among those three we can debate ad nauseum as long as they all produce enough for this offense to work.
  17. I'd probably disregard in evaluating overall performance past halftime. Depth remains an issue and so yeah, we'll be looking really bad once the starters go out. McMillan and Scourton looked good out there which is promising in terms of getting early returns from our draft class. Special teams... yikes. That has to be cleaned up. Finally, no major injuries that I know of. I really hope the play calling was mainly for evaluating our pass game. It reeked of bad Canales when he completely forgets that we have an actual running game. Absolutely cannot be doing that during the season.
