We almost lost to a Saints team led by Luke McCown. Getting swept is the greater possibility here, especially if it becomes a shootout.

Sounds like a great move on paper. Only a future 6th for a player we have more info on than other teams (thanks, Dan) who can contribute on both the d-line and special teams. Yes, would feel better if we can somehow find some Uglies but have to take these type of opportunities when available.

As I watched it, the one straightaway difference was that Darnold gave his guys better opportunites for some YAC. Still need to see the capability of stretching the field vertically because we'll otherwise be back to where we were last year. That said, I don't see Teddy throwing that TD to Robby.

Not quite getting the Jeff Davidson hate. Yes, 2010 was a dumpster fire but he was here for the years before that. He replaced Henning and I still think Davidson was an overall improvement over him, especially using the tight ends as an actual receiving option.

Luke was one of the only other Panthers players other than Cam that the overall NFL fanbase knew (and almost certainly respected more). He will get in one day. Regarding Sproles, not diminishing his accomplishments because he proved that even smaller players can contribute to a team. The issue he'll have is that he was more often a compliment to the offense rather than a feature. He had flashes of greatness but not enough to stick in people's memories. I suppose a litmus test will be Devin Hester because if he can't get in, then Sproles won't have a chance.

I can because at least that team fought to the very end and had plenty of great moments. The other Super Bowl just riles me up because nothing went in our favor and yet we still could've won with some semblance of competence.

If I recall correctly, he was horrendously slow but made up for it by running straight forward every single time. Hilarious because it was effective and the opposing team always complained about it.
