  1. If we're going to be their tune up game, the Bucs will be misfiring on all cylinders when they have to face an actual opponent. I think that's worth taking a massive L.
  2. Until we actually do it, I call horse manure on that statement.
  3. Would Cam be willing to take that type of role now? I don't believe he was back when we released him. Cam thought he was still starter material and wanted an extension. With the Patriots, he learned the hard way that he was no longer the player he once was. I would like to think he finally understands that he can only do so much with his legs and arms and can only play within his limits which will only narrow from now on. Unfortunately, too many around here can't see that yet. It's fair to criticise his play but the vitriol thrown against Sam has gotten far too out of hand. Ultimately, the people who are making the decisions have responsibility. They pulled the trigger, overcompensated and worst of all, are sabotaging their own plan by continuing throwing Sam out into the very same environment that made his Jets career a failure instead of letting a more experienced QB like Cam try to manage this disaster.
  4. The one thing that has been effective in neutralizing Tom Brady throughout the years has been pressure right up the middle. Even the master of getting rid of the ball quickly has crumbled with linemen right at his face. Of course, only certain teams have had the personnel to do this against him and wouldn't you know it, he played like crap against the Saints and had no answer to it. So imagine a scenario where Brady will have that type of pressure every week. Actually, you don't have to imagine it because our offensive line creates that very scenario by being rusty doors hanging by a hinge that blows open with a gust of wind. The years of professional malpractice on building the line has bore its rotten fruit and it's whatever sacrificial lamb that has to stand behind it who has to eat it.
  5. Frankly, you trying to stir up things here even more is why I rarely come here anymore.
  6. Provinding the official motto of our offensive line will be John Miller's highlight of being a Carolina Panther.
  7. As someone that was weary of the move but could see the intention, even this part made zero sense to me. In retrospect, reeks of sheer overconfidence by closing a way out in case things turn south. I will say giving Delhomme a contract extension when his arm was clearly shot was even worse.
  8. No because we'd rather throw crap at each other on which QB is worse than the other. It's embarassing.
  9. An oddball answer but I was always curious what would've happened if David Gettis never tore his ACL.
  10. Fixed. My god, Kelce made the Chargers defenders look like they were trying to chase down Tyreek Hill.
  11. I know Kelce is a great player but how in the world can the Chargers defenders struggle to catch up with a tight end?
  12. I can already hear the derp song playing.
  13. So it was not inappropriate contact with a woman but a man that got Meyer fired. I did not see that coming.
  14. David Carr, the original two-gloves. My mind has blocked out those times so no clue how we won that game. Jake is a sad memory because his career ended in that Atlanta game.

Ron got bailed out twice on not kicking that chip shot field goal.
  16. I always try not to take PFF seriously but if anyone asks what is the biggest problem with the offense, I'll point at this. Here is the foundation to everything and it's airport grade toilet paper. We're setting up any QB, present or future, for failure until we get players that have some semblance of competence.
  17. The real question is whether Sam wants to take another snap as QB1? If I was him, I wouldn't.
  18. He'll probably graze his shoulder against a wall and say he's out for the season just to avoid having to step under center of this offense. I wouldn't blame Cam if he wants to sit back on his couch again either.
  19. Bringing Cam back was a business decision from a nervous owner that saw interest in the season starting to wane. Hiring Rhule was a move from a nervous owner that thought another team was going to take him. To have that same individual make any future moves makes me nervous because they could be based more on whims that neglects long term benefits for short term satisfaction. And personally, I find the "poor coaching, uninspired play" talking point so overused that it means nothing to me anymore. Frankly, we are not as talented as we think we are.
  20. I'm blind because I missed the thread title. Playoff push is technically correct. We're pushing ourselves well out of the conversation although I already felt that way weeks ago.
  21. Given some recent decisions, I worry that Tepper will make more impulsive moves that will only make things worse in the long term.
