Reich did say he still wanted to call the plays during the offseason but was willing to give them to Brown at some point. Always felt that initial decision was a mistake but hey, change is made and Reich even gave Brown recognition post-game for the playclaling on that final drive. If nothing else, tells me that out of all the problems we may have, an egotistical coach is probably not one of them.

I remain baffled on why we drafted a receiver with route running as a weakness when - based on the staff compensation and the QB we drafted - route running would the most valued trait in whomever we brought in. Not to say Mingo can't work. Just that he's not the best solution right now given the circumstances. Side note: the same guy also critized Justin Herbert as a one-read guy.

Gettis was one of the few bright spots from 2010. Unfortunately tore his ACL before the 2011 season and that seemed to spell the end of his career. TMJ... I never saw anything from his college tape that really excited me. Mingo sorta feels like his replacement already.

Sir Purr will be starting by Week 12... and be on IR Week 16.

I hope this dispels the notion of using any draft picks on a coach.
