  1. Oh my guard... I think this validates my belief about last year that the O-line pass protection was not the strength that people thought it was and we simply masked it by leaning heavily on the run game.
  2. Always liked Ron the man more than the coach. Someone might want him as a HC but I wouldn’t bet on it.
  3. This franchise - and this forum - has had this delusion that we've been one guy away and this started all the way back when we brought in Teddy. Enough. If a guy like Mayfield looked like putrid garbage only to look miles better on two separate teams afterwards, I think that's more of a damnation on just how much our QBs are not set up for success. Our line is atrocious, our offensive schemes are utterly predicatble and our receiver corps couldn't scare a little kid on Halloween, let alone a professional NFL defense. I'm not sure what purpose all this hatred toward one guy is going to accomplish because without addressing all the other fundamental problems, then the only thing that changes if/when we put someone else under center is the guy we're going to trash.
  4. Nothing Tepper does is going to matter unless he allows whoever we bring in to do their jobs without his interference.
  5. Call a timeout when you had all three on a 4th down play. Dumb. Then call a pass play after that timeout when you were running the ball at will. Even more dumb. Colts deserve to lose.
  6. There's probably going to be dozens of "Start Darnold!" posts out there by the end of tonight.
  7. Obviously give CMC his props but wow, the holes he gets to run through sometimes.
  8. I would blame that on the referee... but dammit, that was too damn funny.
  9. The game yesteday showed what the offense looks like when the pieces all work together: O-line provides enough protection, Young throws crisp passes and receivers makes plays. We don't get to face the Packers defense every week, though, so we definitely need more pieces in place.
  10. Must have saved up that arm strength for that TD pass.
  11. So the Eagles are trying to match the Chiefs in their generosity on giving away touchdowns.
  12. Remember when KC was a very potent offense? Gifting the Raiders a touchdown... yikes. And Raiders botching the extra point is very fitting as well.
  13. I was going to say part of the reason was the defensive scheme of the most unpopular man in Packer land, Joe Barry. The funny thing, though, is that I saw a lot more man-to-man that I expected yesterday. I searched and confirmed that they did actually went more man against us.
  14. Cowboys losing is always a welcome Christmas gift.
  15. Coaches who work on special teams I feel are more likely to understand things such as game management since their units come out fairly often and require doing so rather quickly in certain situations. Also, they work with both offensive and defensive players. Kinda made since he was made the interim and at least yesterday, that proved a pivotal factor.
  16. The Failcons sheer and utter embarrassment by losing to us is such a wonderful gift. Happy Holidays!
  17. That would require Tepper putting his ego aside, something I wouldn't put money he is willing to do. Honestly, my main hope is that he sees this franchise as a sunk cost and sell it to someone else.
  18. At least Tepper is in the running for the worst NFL owner of the year award. I heard the trophy is a toilet plunger.
  19. I like Greg so I would not want him here just to be dragged through the mud.
  20. Not going to hold any ill will toward Reich. Just didn't work out. What is most demoralizing is that I'm not sure there's any way out of this downward spiral in the near term because the root problem may be at the very top.
  21. Belichick's reputation as an all time best coach is not exactly holding up right now.
