  1. Nah, gotta give Keary Colbert another year to drop more passes and smile while doing it.
  2. Not sure it even matters in the McAdoo offense where it treats Ian Thomas like a legitimate receiving threat. I honestly don't even want to look at the receiving stats for our team right now.
  3. I've always called those two Double Trouble. If only Delhomme hadn't had the Tommy John...
  4. If talking purely from a skills perspective, CMC hasn't shown the ability to make insane acrobatic catches with three defenders around him like 89. Also not seeing CMC being a deep threat. That said, you can flip the argument and say 89 isn't filling CMC's shoes as a runner and may not quite have the shiftiness when there's bodies all around and relies more on pure grit. Hypothetically, 89 and CMC would've complimented each other on the same field. Almost would've been unfair.
  5. If a healthy Sam ends up looking Nathan Peterman bad, I'm honestly going to blame it more on McAdoo than anyone else. You can't go through multiple QBs and have all of them look the worst they've been in their entire careers.
  6. Give me a sea a green from Tepper and I'll come down to watch football as it was played in 1922.
  7. I don't think Jason even watched our attempt at modern footballing last Sunday.
  8. Punish the players by letting McAdoo run the ping pong table. Then the ball would never go past the net.
  9. Belichick will then swindle another team to trade for Zappe and get a career journeyman at best. See Cassel, Jimmy G, Brissett.
  10. I'll say this much. At one point in the 2010 season, we started a guy named Brian St. Pierre. The guy had, up to that point in his career, had thrown 5 passes total in 7 years. To no surprise, he played as expected for someone that barely saw any action. But they still allowed St Pierre to throw deep and, my god, for one moment, there was actual hope. https://youtu.be/whpT0sClXD0 That said, he then threw two pick-sixes but you know what? It didn't really matter because to this day, I still remember that touchdown throw. What was there to remember from Sunday's game?
  11. Given how things are right now, if Tepper asks for a stadium, this is what he'll get.
  12. Inevitable conclusion to this saga. Only surprise is that it's the Cardinals and not the Packers. Technically, any other team would've be considered an upgrade. Given how Murray and the Cardinals have been playing, though wouldn't surprise me if he ends up chewing out Murray before season's end.
  13. I get envious watching a competent NFL offense. Why can't we have that?
  14. I only got to see snippets of this game so I was spared the horror show. That said, our receiving stat line might be the worst I've ever seen...
  15. It's hard to judge Wilks on one game alone. Also unfair to judge on the resuls because frankly, there's barely anything on offense to work with and our defense was depleted. However, we can judge Wilks for his decision making and I was not impressed today. As others pointed out, to not use any of those timeouts at the end of the half was unacceptable. So what if the offense had been putrid up to that point? There could've beena a PI on a deep pass attempt, CMC breaking a long run, and so on. Give your players a chance to do something but instead, Wilks basically said he doesn't trust his players at all. Again, not discounting Wilks yet but if today's an indication of what he can offer, he's not the guy for the job.
  16. Didn't someone here say Campen is a good coach but inadvertently the kiss of death to whoever the HC is to the team that brought him in? We have a promising group of Uglies although I still feel we need to find Moton's replacement now and not as keen with our center situation. Even if we just had a Delhomme level of QB, we'd be in much better shape.
  17. I'm not as hopeful but in terms of circumstances for a debut victory for Wilks, there is enough there. We've stayed in games the first half and frankly, the Rams are just not that good. Even a loss but where the offense shows signs of competence is a step in the right direction. If we get our doors blown off early, though, yikes.
  18. Frankly, all I see regarding Fields is a whole lot of excuse making from everyone. His mechanics look horrid and he misses way too many easy throws. He might find a niche but he's going to have to find it on another team.
  19. What a fitting way to end that game.
  20. Former Panthers players have disappointed tonight.
  21. A man ran into the end zone with the football!
  22. A man just caught the ball in the endzone! Wow!
  23. And to continue the theme of awfulness tonight, whatever that attempt at comedy was.
  24. Maybe they don't consider guys under center for the Bears over the past few decades as actual quarterbacks.
