  1. I'll give him credit for pulling off the equivalent of The Golden Calf of Bristol-mania.
  2. I accepted that years ago before we let Cam go. It's like when Delhomme was not the same QB after his elbow surgery. It was hard to face reality that while his mind was willing, his arm was not. But hey, this franchise needs butts in the seats so it makes sense in that regard. I'm simply not going to do the mental gymnastics to believe this has any chance for sustained success. And for goodness sake, don't hand out a Hurney type of deal if this is actually happening.
  3. We literally broke another quarterback. Again! I'd say that's curtains on the Sam Darnold experiment because even if he does recover, if I were him, I'd ask to get out. We just don't give a damn about protecting what is the most important asset on the offense.
  4. Good leaders find a way to diffuse that tension, find a way to not make things worse acting by impulse for short term satisfaction but long term consequences. I can't say I have confidence Tepper is that type of owner.
  5. I also realize Aaron rhymes with Karen.
  6. That's like asking if the sun will rise tomorrow.
  7. From what I can see, people here are underestimating the Patriots. Took the Cowboys to overtime and just won against the Chargers. If we're stuck with PJ, I would take a page out of Dan Henning's playbook and bring back the Wildcat. Worked brilliantly against Belichick ages ago and it's been long enough that they won't be ready for it.
  8. If we had Mac Jones, we'd already be calling him a bust because putting a rookie behind turnstiles is a recipe for disaster.
  9. Somehow, this doesn't surprise me.

This is another reason I left Vegas. What really doesn't help (other than the obvious access to booze) is the streets are often straight and quite wide. I was rear ended twice in my time there.
  11. Not sure if Paradis is to blame as well. Gets to the second level and all he does against 54 is a half hearted reach towards him. Compare that with Tremble on the same play. Sets a good example on what should be done.
  12. Ugly win for the Chiefs. Would not be optimistic about their chances this year.
  13. Mahomes looking mortal without good protection and his hero passes not finding their targets.
  14. Had my wish briefly granted when I couldn't hear Boger. And Teddy approved of that 3rd down pass.
  15. I understood the idea of using so much draft capital on defense but that came at the expense of everything else. More linebacker depth would be great. Otherwise, everything has to be thrown on the offensive side. Now, I've been saying for the longest time that if you look at history, the best chances of obtaining the ultimate prize will usually require either having Tom Brady as your QB or a young QB when you already have most the pieces in place. Right now, we have neither and frankly, I don't see a way out other than rebuilding the O-line first. At least give me competence and re-evaluate once we get there. Also, keep drafting late round backs in case CMC becomes a lost cause, preferably ones that can catch.
  16. I was helping someone move on Sunday. Don't really care what other people felt but that W along with some other things made it a great day overall.
  17. Terrible news and to be honest, I couldn't even name you his backup without looking it up.
  18. You know how a few weeks can change everything when our kicker was a key component to a victory.
  19. Technically, Brady did throw that TD. Just not the one everyone was expecting.
  20. What were the Saints thinking with three straight passes there?
  21. His presence has surely been missed the past few weeks. Let's hope he can stay on the field.
  22. Rhule could truly believe in what he says. But saying versus doing are two different things. He may not be able to do the latter at this level.
  23. The smarter trade is the Dallas line with ours. Of course, that's purely wishful thinking.
  24. It's like hiring a recovering alcoholic to work at a brewery. I stress this both on and off the field but if you don't set up people for success, you're asking for failure. If this is how they are handling Darnold, then I'm not sure I can trust this staff developing a rookie QB.
