  1. Well, my weekend is now complete. Bring on the rest of the games.
  2. Tepper himself is the biggest negative about the job and only Tepper can address that. Past that, the biggest thing is to assure the coach that their record next year will not affect their job security. Acknowledge that Young is part of the equation for next year but another QB can be brought in for 25, whether by FA or draft. Otherwise, the priority for next year is not playoffs but simply move the team in the right direction. Patience, that's what it comes to, a commitment that this new coach will be given enough time to address the myriad of issues we have. No more of all these mid-season firings.
  3. The only open question remaining is whether this year's batch of sad Cowboys fans can top last year's.
  4. Cowboys choking in the playoffs, it's an annual tradition. Also tradition...
  5. Comcast actually gave me Peacock for free as part of the service so I got lucky.
  6. There's still the part of me that wonders whether Fitterer actually had the option to make that trade with the Rams or if Tepper was never going to let it happen. If we tag and trade him, wouldn't shock me if he explodes elsewhere. We seem to make every player look worse than they really are.
  7. I feel bad for the waste of excellent German beer that our petulant owner is going to throw.
  8. Anyone remember anything Burns did this year that leaps out in terms of difference maker? Back in the day, Peppers got blasted for not showing up all the time but everyone knew when he was on. Not saying Burns didn't have impact plays but big money requires big plays. Just saying.
  9. Should’ve called it a career the moment Brady bolted to Tampa. A losing record the past four years and that's with him bungling the six billion draft picks the Patriots always seem to get every year. The Patriots were so bad this year that we could've won an ugly low scoring game with them. The vaulted Patriot Way was a dead end just about everywhere else it was emulated by his former staff that became head coaches. Won't deny his intimate football knowledge except the translation to actual results on the field seems lacking. His decisions on QB are whimsical as though a fan is making them instead of a coach. Bringing him here would be a colossal waste of money and time but on the other hand, it would make Tepper look even more of a fool while putting a massive stain on Belichick's career. I shouldn’t be that petty but the thought is crossing my mind.
  10. Oh my guard... I think this validates my belief about last year that the O-line pass protection was not the strength that people thought it was and we simply masked it by leaning heavily on the run game.
  11. Always liked Ron the man more than the coach. Someone might want him as a HC but I wouldn’t bet on it.
  12. This franchise - and this forum - has had this delusion that we've been one guy away and this started all the way back when we brought in Teddy. Enough. If a guy like Mayfield looked like putrid garbage only to look miles better on two separate teams afterwards, I think that's more of a damnation on just how much our QBs are not set up for success. Our line is atrocious, our offensive schemes are utterly predicatble and our receiver corps couldn't scare a little kid on Halloween, let alone a professional NFL defense. I'm not sure what purpose all this hatred toward one guy is going to accomplish because without addressing all the other fundamental problems, then the only thing that changes if/when we put someone else under center is the guy we're going to trash.
  13. Nothing Tepper does is going to matter unless he allows whoever we bring in to do their jobs without his interference.
  14. Call a timeout when you had all three on a 4th down play. Dumb. Then call a pass play after that timeout when you were running the ball at will. Even more dumb. Colts deserve to lose.
  15. There's probably going to be dozens of "Start Darnold!" posts out there by the end of tonight.
  16. Obviously give CMC his props but wow, the holes he gets to run through sometimes.
  17. I would blame that on the referee... but dammit, that was too damn funny.
  18. The game yesteday showed what the offense looks like when the pieces all work together: O-line provides enough protection, Young throws crisp passes and receivers makes plays. We don't get to face the Packers defense every week, though, so we definitely need more pieces in place.
  19. Must have saved up that arm strength for that TD pass.
  20. So the Eagles are trying to match the Chiefs in their generosity on giving away touchdowns.
  21. Remember when KC was a very potent offense? Gifting the Raiders a touchdown... yikes. And Raiders botching the extra point is very fitting as well.
