  1. You’re brilliant. It’s about improving our team. You bring in Trubisky because he’d be the best QB option on our roster.
  2. James Daniels & Connor Williams Starters next year… BC/Williams/Elf/Daniels/Moton Use draft over the next two years to replace Elf. Can move Daniels to Center if we find another guard.
  3. Except Trubisky was a winner at QB and there was tangible improvement in their offense when he played vs Foles/Fields.
  4. Do you think Trubisky is better than Darnold?
  5. Blah blah. He had a horrible coach and no talent around him. Look at their success with Trubisky vs without under Nagy. Also, we have a good defense too.
  6. Trubisky won with Nagy and little help on offense. He can be a mid tier starter in the league. More likely bottom third starter caliber which is better than what we have currently. Just to confirm your thoughts though, I’d be thrilled if we draft OL Marcus McKethan in the 5th or later.
  7. You pointed out nothing. Here, let me try to help the discussion on why I think your assumption is wrong…. I don’t think Wilson has a stronger arm than Howell. I don’t think Lance is more accurate than Howell. While his running style isn’t aesthetically pleasing, he proved to be a more effective runner than both. Hes built to withstand a beating which pairs well with our Oline. So what exactly does he lack physically compared to those two? Straight line speed? Height?
  8. I said the very same thing last year. No reason we weren’t the option for Trubisky. We were set up perfect to bring him in and still are. Others disagreed, but I’d sign him right now for 4-5 years at 4-5 mil per year. Worst case, we have a tremendous upgrade at backup QB. Best case, we’re in the playoffs and he’s already proven he can win.
  9. Feel free to inform me on how Lance and Wilson are such superior QBs to Howell. The fact that ppl are down on Howell and we could possibly get him in the 2nd is exciting to me.
  10. Great athlete =/= successful QB. I have doubts about his accuracy. We’ll know more next year about him. Howell has a rocket arm too. I agree he doesn’t have the charisma of Wilson.
  11. I think Sam has better arm talent than both. I believe Sam has a stronger arm than Wilson and every bit as accurate. I like Wilson’s ability to navigate in the pocket and keep his eyes downfield better. I think Sam will be more accurate than Lance. I also think Sam will be a threat in short yardage situations with his legs. He’s built similar to a fullback. My main concern is his feet and did the terrible talent around him last year teach him some bad habits with progressions.
  12. I hear the scouts and huddlers, but give me Sam Howell over Zach Wilson and Trey Lance.
  13. Have to factor in the expanding cap though. DJ at 16-18 mil in 2025 could be one of the better bargains in the league at WR. Tough to say but I’m sure Gollodays contract and whatever D Adams is about to get paid will shift the market. We need to extend DJ ASAP if our plan is to keep him as part of the core.
  14. That’s probably an accurate value for his production, but no way he’ll go for that cheap after Anderson’s deal.
  15. I’d set the over/under at $17.5 mil per year. Above and we probably overpaid. Anywhere below 16 is a good deal for the team.
  16. This is a better look at next years #s. 2022 sorted by cap hit.
  17. No one is worried about Tepper’s money. The discussion is about how to best utilize cap space. What is his value to you? North of 20mil per?
  18. This is the range I was thinking. With the cap expected to increase, I wouldn’t hate going that high for him, but I think he deserves more around the 15 mil per range. Basically, he should be the one with RA’s contract.
  19. # on left is total contract value # on right is average $ per year
  20. I’m curious to know your thoughts on what amount we should fork over to keep DJ a Panther. What’s a good avg $/year for him to you? Ive included the top ~24 highest avg &/year WRs. I really think we screwed up our position for negotiating with DJ based on R. Anderson’s contract.
  21. If you want the #1 overall pick in 2023, start Cam next year. The upside is high draft picks and can probably resign DJ for cheap bc he’s stats would be terrible.
  22. That’s the popular route. I’m good with that also. I don’t want to unload top WR1 money on DJ. I wouldn’t make him a top 20 WR in the league salary wise, and we may be better off long term if we can get nice draft capital or players in exchange for him.
