  1. I hear the scouts and huddlers, but give me Sam Howell over Zach Wilson and Trey Lance.
  2. Have to factor in the expanding cap though. DJ at 16-18 mil in 2025 could be one of the better bargains in the league at WR. Tough to say but I’m sure Gollodays contract and whatever D Adams is about to get paid will shift the market. We need to extend DJ ASAP if our plan is to keep him as part of the core.
  3. That’s probably an accurate value for his production, but no way he’ll go for that cheap after Anderson’s deal.
  4. I’d set the over/under at $17.5 mil per year. Above and we probably overpaid. Anywhere below 16 is a good deal for the team.
  5. This is a better look at next years #s. 2022 sorted by cap hit.
  6. No one is worried about Tepper’s money. The discussion is about how to best utilize cap space. What is his value to you? North of 20mil per?
  7. This is the range I was thinking. With the cap expected to increase, I wouldn’t hate going that high for him, but I think he deserves more around the 15 mil per range. Basically, he should be the one with RA’s contract.
  8. # on left is total contract value # on right is average $ per year
  9. I’m curious to know your thoughts on what amount we should fork over to keep DJ a Panther. What’s a good avg $/year for him to you? Ive included the top ~24 highest avg &/year WRs. I really think we screwed up our position for negotiating with DJ based on R. Anderson’s contract.
  10. If you want the #1 overall pick in 2023, start Cam next year. The upside is high draft picks and can probably resign DJ for cheap bc he’s stats would be terrible.
  11. That’s the popular route. I’m good with that also. I don’t want to unload top WR1 money on DJ. I wouldn’t make him a top 20 WR in the league salary wise, and we may be better off long term if we can get nice draft capital or players in exchange for him.
  12. Try to get Fitt to sign James Daniels this off-season, suring up a guard spot with a guy who can also play center. Could also target Connor Williams. Goal being to secure IOL help with a young free agent. Trade back and draft Howell later in the first. Use 2nd or 3rd rounder acquired in trade back on WR. I know it doesn’t seem like a need right now, but I need leverage for upcoming DJ Moore contract talks. Need to be comfortable enough to trade him for assets if he wants too much $. Remember, we’re likely moving on from Anderson after next year. Use all other picks on BPA while trying to target OL/MLB/S in that order. QB: Darnold/Howell (until mid season) - gives us best chance at drumming up trade interest for Darnold, which is currently near zero, while allowing Howell time to get acclimated. We’re not challenging next year so prep for a playoff push in 2023. OL: Christensen/Daniels/Elf/Brown or rookie/Moton WR: DJ/RA/TMJ or 2nd/3rd round rookie —-> This room could look a lot different the following year. Defense: Stays mostly in tact except we add a MLB or S (or both) from the draft. Luvu is resigned to play OLB. Plenty of options in secondary. Try to convince Tepper and Fitt that we’re setting up for years of playoff runs starting in 2023.
  13. Because everyone realized that it wasn’t the QB scapegoat’s fault. Nagy was equally terrible with their new “franchise QB.” Which is also why I wanted Trubisky here to compete with Darnold and still do.
  14. Agree with all except I’m not sure Chandler will reliably get you what’s there. I think he lacks the vision to see what’s there on some carries. He’ll break off a long one to make up for it here and there, but it makes it difficult to be consistent chain movers when your back lacks vision & patience to see holes develop.
  15. Ty Chandler is a lot like Chuba but he gets tackled even easier. He does catch better though. I’d throw a 6th at him.
  16. Of course. That would be my goal though in the front office. It doesn’t hurt that his wife wants to stay in the area and close to family. I hope this was discussed prior to the trade. He should know too that aging CBs don’t get huge deals.
  17. I’m not so sure. I think we’ll resign Gilmore to a team friendly, hometown discount deal and let Jackson walk. Then shop Bouye for mid round draft capital. At least that’s what Id try to do.
  18. CMC is going to shut a lot of you up over the next couple of years. He’s still one of the best offensive weapons in the game when healthy.
  19. He’s definitely showing some of the same ‘ice in veins’ characteristics. No one can question his command of the offense. Watching him and Chase work makes me feel good about letting Brady go. It would be pretty difficult to perform poorly with those two as a foundation. Not to mention the other weapons that LSU team had.
  20. I can’t do that stuff on Madden unless I drop it to rookie mode
  21. I hope one of our 5th rounders is used on McKethan. If he’s still there.
  22. How many starters does a draft need to be considered successful to you? Just curious. I think there is plenty of talent in our last two drafts. One deserved to be defensive rookie of the year.
  23. That’s where feelers come into play and our front office should have a good idea of what teams need QB help or don’t.
  24. Currently there is no one ‘liking’ a QB at #6. I’m sure that will change. Here’s an example I’m thinking… The staff likes Howell and/or Willis, but they’re graded and mocked late first to early second. The move then would be trade back and select one in the 10-15/20 range.
  25. I’m assuming he’ll be too expensive. Same as Reddick.
