  1. I'd take Bryce #1 at 175. I think he's that talented and believe the NFL is protecting their QBs to an absurd level these days. I've already posted three evidence-backed reasons why I believe his weight hovers around 200. All the "playing weight" posters can do is say "c'mon man it's obvious." Also - what the national media tries to drum up as a big deal doesn't affect my opinions. Hearing Reich say it's something to consider did. If Reich wanted to see Bryce's weight, he'd weigh in if he wants to be a Panther. He may have and it was behind closed doors. I can come up with hypotheticals too.
  2. Imaginary "playing weight" again. I think he didn't weigh in again because he wasn't asked, similar to not running the 40. He's likely taking advice from his agent, and stands nothing to gain by weighing in weekly up until the draft. He's already put up a number he thinks will get him drafted in the top 2. What would be the purpose? Don't you think he'd weigh in if the Panthers staff asked to see it and he wants to go to Carolina?
  3. The only actual data in this thread points to Stroud being more at risk of injury than Young due to weight. It's not definitive, but more convincing than all the gut feels of Huddle posters.
  4. You can do that when you have elite skills/talent. That's what Bryce fans see in his film.
  5. It was reported he had shrimp and salad, right? You're contending he was bulking with that? That's almost as silly as the guy who said Bryce probably drank 10-15 bottles of water before weighing in. If y'all don't want us to draft Young, just say so. You don't have to create reasons with your imagination if you just prefer Stroud.
  6. Yes. I think he hovers around 200-204lbs on a weekly basis. I'm taking his weigh in at the combine as evidence. I'm further convinced after hearing TJ Houshmandzadeh, who Bryce has trained with and seen daily, mention that Bryce weighs over 200 on a daily basis. He's also my height and his arms and shoulders are holding more muscle mass. I weigh 190. I think Young will spend the majority of his NFL career playing at a weight between 208-215lbs.
  7. If you ignore all combine measurements and run with your own hypothetical “playing weight” for Young, then you’re onto something.
  8. First I’ve heard he doesn’t practice. If true, he’s certainly not a good fit for a new staff attempting to build the right culture.
  9. I would also love a 4B or 5th round selection of Nick Hampton. I could see him playing a role similar to Haasan Reddick this year with the Eagles. Not an every down guy, but he can ruin 3rd downs for opponents as a pass rusher.
  10. My point was everyone is talking about tanking for Caleb and how great a prospect he is, but he holds onto the ball a lot longer than Young.
  11. I agree Nick Hampton would be a great Day 3 selection.
  12. Agree. I think the one on the right looks pretty cool.
  13. What if the trade is TMJ and a 4th for Hopkins and Cards take some of the salary hit in 2023?
  14. And he believes in himself. That doesn’t always work out, but I like the mentality.
  15. The transition tag for a WR this off-season was $17,991,000. If Chark shows he’s capable of being a WR1 and we can’t strike a long term deal, he seems a perfect candidate for the transition tag. If someone gives him a contract offer we don’t want to match, we receive two 1sts for a one year rental with a significant injury history.
  16. They deserve everything coming their way. They will have to watch our QB1 thrive while figuring out that Fields will never develop into a top tier NFL QB.
  17. From everything I’ve heard from Reich about what he looks for in a QB, elite processing sounds like it’s close to the top along with playmaking ability. Measurables were downplayed by him. I guess we’ll find out soon, but I think there’s a good chance it’s Young.
  18. I think he’s just running with Reich likes Stroud bc he’s always had bigger QBs. He doesn’t know who Reich actually prefers. I don’t think he truly knows who any of them like most.
  19. 185 won’t be his actual playing weight as a grown man. He’s 21 years old and has already shown he can weigh 204 fairly easy.
