There’s his deal with the Ravens last year. That would be a steal of a contract for us, especially with our need for an edge.
-
That doesn’t work for me when I copy the link straight from x app. Trust me, I’ve tried it plenty and waited minutes.

You just taught me something. I’ve had the same trouble copying links straight from x app. They never embed on here for me. I guess I’ll have to go the extra steps of pulling it up in chrome, but that isn’t ideal.

Wait where? I’ve waited before and nothing.

Drafting any of Peyton Wilson, Cedric Gray, Jeremiah Trotter, or James Williams will help solidify our LB corp moving forward. I’m hoping we can snag one of them in the 4th. James Williams is one of the more talented defensive football players in the draft imo. 6’4, 230 and hits like a hammer. Take him out of the safety role where he sometimes gets lost in coverage and let him be Luvu’s replacement. Jewell for Shaq and Williams for Luvu.

Oh no we’re getting rid of players that helped us to a 2-15 record

We might be surprised what a defense full of guys trying to prove themselves can do. I’ll take my chances on players with that mindset over players going soft to avoid injury while still arguing over money. -
BREAKING: Giants looking to trade for Brian Burns
ECHornet replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea, I’m not losing sleep if Burns goes off for the Giants. He was sandbagging here last year. If we allow players who do that to stick around, we’ll never rebuild.- 543 replies

I wouldn’t have been mad at a Gabe Davis signing, but not for the numbers the Jags gave him.
-
If not Pittman, I’m fine with passing on the other two unless the money was team-friendly, which it wouldn’t be.

C Mitch Morse off the board to the Jags https://twitter.com/mikegarafolo/status/1767164552150413572?s=46&t=iUe8E7P_bH33jIZRf7fRSQ

In 2023, Pittman finished #4 of all WRs in receptions. #14 in receiving yards. With a rookie Anthony Richardson and Gardner Minshew throwing him the ball. Pittman is easily a #1. The better question is should Pittman be considered a top 10 WR.

Don’t know why trading for Pittman is getting the reaction it is here. He’s 26 and proven he’s a #1 WR. A trade involving Burns and Pittman would be fine by me.

I try to limit to one trade per draft since the trade back options on PFN mocks can get unrealistic quick. Worthy- this offense desperately needs a deep threat and someone who can make something out of nothing. Worthy can do both. COMP: Devonta Smith Braelon Allen- we have a need for a short yardage/goal line back. COMP: James Conner (less tenacious) James Williams- a dawg Morgan is looking for. This guy will deliver big hits as a rookie. Shaq replacement? COMP: Kam Chancellor (game has changed where Kam types are playing LB now) Beaux Limmer- know little about him. Took best graded OL available. Joe Milton- Similar to Braelon Allen, this is an attempt to beef up our short yardage game. We will need to grind out games relying on our defense until we acquire the weapons needed at skill positions. Milton would be trained to execute the Philly QB sneak and build a goal line/short yardage package for him. Never know what he might become down the road. Quinton Newsome- know little about him. Took best graded CB available.

He was my favorite for pick #33 before the 40, but now I’m not sure he’ll be there. He’s not John Ross who was just straight line speed. He can make defenders miss and house it.

Smitty on the 2024 WR Draft Class (w/cliffnotes)
ECHornet replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
That was Smitty’s comp, not mine. DK is one of the biggest athletic freaks to ever play WR, so having someone who’s “close” athletically is still impressive. Legette is closer to AJ Brown athletically, imo. Here’s a comparison of those players at the nfl combine and Legette from the senior bowl: DK / AJ Brown / Legette Height: 6’3 / 6’0 / 6’1 Weight: 228 / 226 / 223 Fastest game speed (mph): 22.6 / 22.1? / 22.3 Arm Length: 34&7/8 ; 32&7/8 ; 31&5/8 Hand size: 9&7/8 ; 9&3/4 ; 8&7/8 -
Smitty on the 2024 WR Draft Class (w/cliffnotes)
ECHornet replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I disagree with him on Worthy being a body catcher. He shows elite hands catching in his highlights. He pairs that with an ability to make something out of nothing and he’s a great returner. I like him with our 2nd rounder. He does comp him as a taller Tank Dell so I’d take that all day. (The very first clip in the video below shows one of the toughest hands catches WR face in football) Then he mentions Legette as a “better” DK Metcalf. It’s not going to happen, but if Legette slips to the 3rd like some mocks are pushing, adding both Xaviers to our WR core would completely flip that room for us. -
I know nothing about Cam Hart, but that was a best DB available pick.
-
I’d love to get him, but his injury history scares me enough that the 1st pick in 3rd round may be too steep.
