  1. You dislike all of our free agent signings from last offseason?
  2. Cheers for the honesty and effort. I botched the years though. I was curious of the poster’s opinion on the combined 2023 and 2024 classes. Since so many are scoffing at the idea of waiting until next year to draft a 1st round QB, I thought that would be interesting to see. I’d go… 1. Williams 2024 2. Maye 2024 3. Young 4. Stroud 2024?? 5. Rattler 2024 6. Penix Jr 2024 7. AR 8. Daniels 2024 9. Levis 10. Ewers 2024 In discussion for top 10- 15McKee, Hooker, Bennett, Rising 2024, Ward 2024, McCarthy 2024, Nix 2024 Easy to see why I think 2024 is a great year to target a 1st round QB.
  3. Howell’s a better QB. He was in college. He was in preseason. He is now. We missed on that one. Hopefully MC recovers fully and proves me wrong. I’ll be rooting for him.
  4. What’s your top 6-10 QBs from the 2022 & 2023 draft eligible classes combined?
  5. You say a Maye or Williams won’t be a Panther because we won’t tank enough to draft them. In the same post, you argue that Fitt should move up in the draft to make the sexy pick this year. Which is it? Do you believe we can move up for a QB or not?
  6. If Stroud stays in school, I don’t even consider drafting a QB at #9 this year. I’m drafting a weapon that will be ready to help the QB I select in 2024.
  7. If the guys listed in that tweet were in this year’s draft, what would your top 6-10 look like?
  8. I hear you. Doesn’t change the fact 2024 is our year to land a franchise QB in the draft. Not to mention the rumors (albeit unlikely) that Stroud could return to Ohio St.
  9. I’d be pretty excited to see how it plays out with Steichen, but I’m undecided based on reading he can be a little awkward. Maybe that’s overblown. You’re probably right on Reich.
  10. My outlook on our future based on potential hires: Optimistic - Johnson, Ryans Undecided - Steichen, Kafka, Mayo Content, but pessimistic- Wilks Disappointed: Dorsey, Reich Hopeless: Caldwell
  11. If you click the link, you can see the offensive selections. Justin Jefferson and Davante Adams were the WRs.
  12. Its going to play out with him getting cut because no one is going to guarantee him 40 million. If a team did want to, he’d waive that no trade clause instantly.
  13. Notice the word ‘’more.” 35 more than 5 = 40
  14. Why? Because he’d be guaranteed over $40 million come February 15th. That’s why to most of those questions.
  15. My argument was that Carr, while better than Darnold, isn’t worth $35 million more per year. I stand by that. Give me Darnold for two years, $10mil over Carr for two years, $80 mil. Just imagine the other talent we could acquire with that $70mil over that span.
  16. Bold. I respect it, but I hope we stay out of that frenzy unless Stroud or Young drop. If 4/5 QBs go in the top 8, we would be in prime position to trade back and acquire more picks. #9 would have their pick of the best player at multiple positions if that happens. Or we could just stay put and select one of them.
  17. You think 4 QBs go in the top 8? I think it's more likely that only two go in the top 8. I guess there's a lot that will play out between now and then so who knows.
  18. Why are people so convinced Young will stay injured when 45 year old, not fleet of foot Brady is able to survive the rigors of a full season? Sure, Tom is bigger but he also doesn't have the lean muscle mass support Bryce will in his lower twenties. Young isn't a Lamar or Fields who will be running constantly.
  19. I think I'd throw up if we trade up for Jalen Carter.
  20. Not an odd take at all. I agree with you. It seems our owner wants a more progressive, offense-oriented head coach. That's not Wilks. If our owner stood up for Wilks and made sure he was given the DC role, that would indicate he is valued by the organization. It is still a promotion from where he started the year. Now, if we choose a defensive-minded coach over Wilks, I'd consider leaving "the room flipping a double bird" if I were him.
  21. I have to give you props on the Smith call and wish our front office had made that move (long snapper smh), even with his injury concerns. That said, while I acknowledge we would be in even better position with that move, Fitt also deserves credit for constructing our current oline. Top 10 in the league imo.
  22. Well, his own team deemed him unworthy of a $40 million dollar cap hit. So I have that supporting me.
  23. I agree, if he plays like a top 10 QB or leads us to deep playoff runs, we would have to consider resigning him. My gut feeling is he would play like a mid-level starter and we wouldn't advance past the divisional round of the playoffs. Ideally, by then we would have a young QB ready to roll in his 2nd or 3rd season. Maybe that young QB is so promising we trade Carr in that second year. That's hopeful, but should be our thought process if we acquire Carr.
  24. Agreed. I'd sign Carr to a two year contract at ~20-25mil per and I wouldn't mind it being fully guaranteed due to the short term. I would use that two year period being aggressive in looking for a young future franchise QB. If he's adamant he wants more than a two year contract, I'm out and I would prefer to keep Darnold for cheap during that two year window we're searching for a franchise QB.
