  1. I’ll be happy either way but prefer Young. I did chuckle seeing that Stroud weighs a whole 9lbs more than frail, wittle Bryce Young.
  2. We’re not going to pick up an 11m option for Henderson. That doesn’t mean he won’t be a Panther in 2024. We may keep him around on a cheaper deal.
  3. If this played out and the Texans give us their 2024 1st and we still get our guy…….man oh man would Fitt be a legend. Means we would have lost: 2.61 (one of the last picks in the 2nd this year), a 2025 2nd, and DJ Moore to land our future franchise QB. Losing DJ hurts, but the Texans will likely have a top 5-10 pick next year that we could land a WR1 (Marvin Harrison Jr) or a guy like Brock Bowers. Sheesh
  4. I like Downs, but I don’t think I’d use the 39th pick on him. For as agile and shifty as he seems to be, he rarely eludes the first tackler and goes down pretty easy. Now getting separation in routes is a strength and I trust his hands, but I need a little more elusiveness to spend an early 2nd on a small slot receiver.
  5. You’re everywhere trying to tell people who view Young as a good option that they’re going overboard. You liking other options better doesn’t make Young a bad one. How about taking a breather yourself from visiting every Young thread just to tell ppl to stop talking about him? At least, please don’t pretend like Young has never been tackled by a 300lb defender after 3 years in the SEC My stance is I’ll be happy with Young or Stroud, but I view Young as the more talented of the two.
  6. I’ve been hyping LaPorta as TE3 for a while now, and I don’t see a huge difference between him and Kincaid. lol a the one link that said Laporta has unimpressive overall athleticism. He ranked 3rd of all TEs at the combine in athleticism. LaPorta in the 3rd (I think he’s selected well before the 93rd pick) or Z Kuntz with our 4B pick is my hope.
  7. He won’t be available in the 4th and he’s not as raw as you think imo. He‘s a hands catcher who finds holes in zones well and is good at using his size advantage to position himself to make the catch. I like him in the 3rd and wouldn’t mind him late 2nd if we traded back.
  8. I’d rather keep 39 & draft Cedric Tillman in the 3rd who’s nearly identical to Courtland Sutton. Also would love AT Perry in the 3rd as a knockoff Higgins. Either one could become a solid WR2 or better and for late Day 2 of the draft value.
  9. Cedric Tillman or AT Perry in the 3rd.
  10. It’s hard to describe intangibles sometimes. I view Young as savvy to a degree that will be above average his first year. He seems to also have that same sense as Mahomes to avoid the direct blows. He’s far more elusive than Stroud. I predict Stroud will take more direct hits that could lead to injury than Young.
  11. I’d be happy if we selected Stroud. It’s just pretty clear who is more talented of the two. It’s the posters in here so adamant that Young and his poor widdle frame will break the first time he’s tackled that are on edge. The Panthers were sacked 36 times in 2022. Young hasn’t shown a propensity to be a punk. He’ll survive. If I poo a post, it just means I disagree with it. Sorry that offended you. I didn’t realize your emotions were more fragile than you view Bryce Young’s frame.
  12. Thanks for pulling this together. Basbear made some nice additions with guys who should, at least currently, be listed as depth. I’d have Barno backing up Burns and Haynes backing up Luvu at OLB. I think the next time we see YGM, he’ll be weighing around 280-285lbs. He might be close already. He came into the league at 265. That would be plenty big enough for 5T especially since he succeeds in stopping the run. If we do trade him, I hope we target OL help whether it’s players or picks. Slim pickings right now and two of our starters are working through injuries.
  13. I don’t see why many are sleeping on AT Perry. If we land him with our 3rd, I’ll be thrilled. I also like Tillman. Either in the 3rd would be great value and could be our knockoff versions of Tee Higgins.
  14. I don’t understand why OP is posting as if Hubbard is no longer on the team. Our tandem is now Sanders & Hubbard instead of Foreman & Hubbard. I’m assuming OP fell in love with thunder & lightning RB duos. No legitimate NFL minds view Foreman as more valuable as a RB than Sanders. That can’t be disputed.
  15. In reality, the Texans won’t know which one we are going to select. The premium to move up to #1 is so the Texans don’t have to watch us select their guy. We might go for the trade if we think they won’t select our target, but my preference is stay at #1 and keep it our choice.
  16. I still can’t tell if OP is buzzing about Sanders being worse the Foreman, worse than Hubbard, worse than both, or worse than those two combined. Foreman is a power back who lacks elite explosion but runs hard. I liked him and most of Panther nation liked him and appreciated his efforts. Hubbard is a straight line runner with hands that one poster recently, and appropriately, described as tennis rackets. Sanders is regarded by everyone in the NFL, and really everyone except OP, as better than both. He is a young, top 20 RB in the league. It was a great pickup and what’s in your mind about it doesn’t change that.
  17. Can you please stop posting trash take after trash take. https://theacc.com/news/2022/7/26/clemson-favored-in-2022-acc-football-preseason-poll.aspx UNC was not expected to win the ACC last year. They were predicted to finish 3rd in the Coastal division. Drake led them to 1st in the Coastal because that is what elite QBs do. They raise the talent level of the team. He did that despite the aforementioned atrocious defense he was paired with. Bryce Young is the best QB in the 2023 draft. Drake Maye would be selected #1 in the 2023 draft even if Caleb Williams were eligible too.
  18. Historically small from a build standpoint = weighed the same as Russell Wilson at the combine.
