Solid point about the rookie contract especially since I believe Tepper and company brought that up, he was so good we could sign other players while he is on a rookie deal and capitalize on the cap space. Sorta like Seattle did with Russ while he was on a rookie deal. But, problem is Bryce isn’t close to that version of Russ and Tepper sucks as an owner.

I think what makes a qb elite is when every week you think your team has a chance to win because of your qb. No matter who they play, they always make you feel like you have a chance. I have not gotten that feeling once while watching Bryce.

You’re right, again on X, that’s what’s being said. Anyone who actually watched could tell that the Cards defense was different in the second half…until the game was on the line the last drive, then they went into first half mode.

After having a think-a-thon with myself after the game for a few hours, I’m convinced Bryce will be the starter for the next couple of years and no amount of bitching will change that. I just have to learn to accept it.

I won’t doubt he made some nice throws, but the cards D in the first half were doing some crazy blitzes and mixing up stunts and coverages, after the half they stopped. Rushed four probably 98% of the time. To me, any qb could have performed well in that situation. They had Bryce in a blender the first half and then just stopped. Like I said, he did make some nice throws, that last TD to Renfrow on the 1 was sweet, not gonna lie.

It’s three years now, he’s shown he isn’t the guy and this team will continue to be strung along by him and his numbers in garbage time.

Checkdowns and one good pass over the middle I guess makes them think it’s a good game by bryce. Cards took their foot off the gas the whole second half.
