Not concerned about his play, kid is awesome. I’m concerned about him being able to last his rookie contract.

Ultimately, I am ok with Young, AR or stroud. I also am ok with knowing all three have flaws and I’m perfectly comfortable with talking about all them. Youngs flaws, unfortunately, can not be corrected by coaching (like Ar and Stroud). That’s ok, we will see what happens and hope for the best. I have no doubt he’s going to be good, the question is, will he hold up? I think I saw an nfl exec quote about young, something about “is he the lone outlier” when referring to small qbs not having success. I think this exec forgot about Brees, but is young the next Brees? Time will tell.

Difference is we have A more competent staff and GM now than we did then. If cam had this staff and front office…there’d be no doubt he’d still be playing and would be a HOFer without question.

I was on the side of “we don’t know what we are picking” but too many things argue against our points. Vegas, every panther insider, ever big time national analyst/insider etc. Now, I will say you make good points with TD and other things you have said in the past. Not to mention, according to Walterfootball, AR is the only qb we have met with three times and his official 30 visit was the only one that was confirmed two days. BUT, Tepper only went to Stroud and Young’s Pro day. Tepper only met with young’s family, no other qb got that treatment. Add that up with Vegas and all the other stuff i mentioned earlier, it’s looking like Young.

Exactly, that’s my only concern with him, he’s just not “big”. He can overcome being short (I think he’s 5’10) but being that small (weight) is something to look out for. Hopefully I’m wrong.

On all these quotes about his size and all the analyst weighing in (no pun intended), they never say how much he weighs. Why? Did he not run at the combine because he gained a poo ton of water weight to weigh heavier? If his size wasn’t a concern he wouldn’t have to do that. I’m not a “size bro” but it is a tad concerning.

Success is an interesting term. He’s successful by playing for so long in the NFL and accumulating a vast amount of wealth. He would put together some great games and then have some absolute stinkers. He was a back up off and on throughout his career, not saying he sucks but some are assuming Young will be great bc of a test scores. I’m just saying Fitz wasn’t great and probably aced all of his tests.

I feel the same except it’s AR for me. I hate to be cliche about young’s size, but it is a factor. The kid is good though and smaller qbs have played well in the past.
