Possibly, but many have said McClain is very well respected by the Texans. Other Houston reporters have said if McClain says it, ppl listen. In the end, we will never know anything on this until the Texans say so themselves and I don’t think that will happen soon.
-
Texans fans have claimed that McClain is literally the Texans “mouthpiece”, that’s a very real possibility. Back in early January McClain said he had as much of a chance of being the next head coach than Watson being traded. Things are changing...

Bree’s is a douche

Do you think we stay at 8 and take BPA or trade back in the first? What if the panthers brass want to accumulate picks and build the team and then after the draft focus on trading for Watson?
-
You think that will change?
-
I’ve read a lot of tweets from reporters saying the big reason they won’t trade him is the cap hit they will take in doing so. Don’t know how a team could make that easier on them in a trade but it will be interesting to see.
-
My big reason why I don’t think they will trade him is the team probably fears if he can force a trade, the whole team could. The whole team is a bit extreme, but every big name player they have/could have, possibly could sit out for a trade. They probably feel if they stand their ground it will send a message. Again, I hope I’m wrong.
-
I’ve thought about that as well. has that ever been done before and you think it’s possible in this situation?
-
I love the optimism, I’m trying to stay positive haha

The free Deshaun movement and hate the team has already begun. Read and social media comments on any Texans post (excluding the ones about charity) and it’s all “fire easterby” “sell the team” “trade Deshaun”. That fan bas me has already turned sour towards management. I’ve had a feeling this whole time they will not trade and I truly believe that. BUT I think if they do trade him, it will be to us. It won’t happen sadly. The Texans are gna hold on to him until the bitter end.

Panthers will "pay any price" for Watson (via Sportsnaut via PFN)

I’ve been thinking that as well. Would it change their mind if he had a sit down with them and straight up told them no matter what they do he will never play for them? -
Report: Deshaun Watson would OK trade to Carolina Panthers

Wouldn’t they make money by letting ppl do that? -

Wait what? -
Benjamin Albright commented on this post and said the list isn’t limited to these teams. Someone asked him where he honestly thinks Watson ends up, his answer: NYJ or CAR.
-
Completely agree, but I just think this Caserio isnt messing around. If Watson sits out and gets fined, Texans don’t have to pay his salary and their cap doesn’t get hit, they will make a poo ton of money from his fines and can stand by and fine him more and more. I’m with you, if he is not going to play for you, why not get something out of him? Why not get high picks and draft his replacement? If they go into next year with him sitting out, who’s going to be their qb?
-
Understood thank you. I just don’t think Houston trades him, I wish it would happen and il stay optimistic but their new GM probably isn’t messing around.
-
Forgive me, I’m not quite understanding what you are saying with your first sentence.
-
For what it’s worth, it was posted one hour ago, maybe others haven’t had time to fact check?
-
No clue, I was hoping someone on here knew if it was legit. It is lining up with what Verge was saying. The only bad part is the Texans have to agree to trade him, that’s why I think the chances are slim. Houston probably won’t trade him. I hope I’m wrong
-
Cutting Shaq would save some cap, but I just can’t see them cutting him bc the LB corps would be decimated. I have high hopes for Carter but still, it’s be empty. I see them trading him before cutting him, at least that way they will have some compensation for him.

Teddy Bridgewater Unfollows Panthers on Instagram
The Lobo replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is better than most offseasons where we know we won’t be doing poo. Nice change of pace haha. -
Unless we trade for Jimmy G...
