I can't imagine Tepper leaving with the city of Charlotte agreeing to pay 650 Million to upgrade the arena his squads play in. Pretty sure he's locked in for 15 years here. I really hope we arent in the basement by then.

Everybody hates Bryce - TC August 11th
PappyMay replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ve been saying 5-12, but doubling our win total to 4 I wouldn’t cry. Just hope to know what we have in Mingo, Legette, Sanders, Brooks, and DJ Johnson. I just need them to show they can be quality NFL starters in 2025. This is going to take another year. -

Totally on board with this. Would love another 2nd rounder. -

We are going to have a top 10 pick and have so many needs. Can’t imagine there not being a playmaker who could start. I think we will be better than last year but let’s be honest we are still picking in the top 10. -
I don’t hate the idea of Dak. I just fear how we’d be able to build out the rest of our team with a 50mil/yr QB.
-
I like the idea of using a mid rounder on QB. Cam Ward, Riley Leonard, or Drew Allar. I genuinely hope Bryce can be a solid game manager. But use our top first 2 picks on day 1 starter and then bring Bryce some competition in on a rookie contract.

I'll be stuck listening sadly. I need to break down and get NFL network.
-
but all we hear about is how great he looks at camp! I hope XL looks great. If him and Mingo catch on could afford to use Theilen's Salary somewhere else.
-
I agree with all of these. I hope T is not an issue. Also Morrison the CB from Notre Dame could come in and start. Mason Graham from Michigan or Deone Walker from Kentucky could replace Shy Tuttle(cutting him would save little over $6mil) Xavier Woods is also a free agent next year. I know it would be tough to take a safety in the top 12, but having the # 1 player in a position doesn't hurt.
-
I expect us to be picking 4-7. Also wouldn't hate trading down and staying in the top 12. There is alot of talent at the top of this draft and we need so much help.

With how good Coleman looks this hurts

Panthers release first depth chart of 2024
PappyMay replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Whew man it’s tough to look at this depleted roster. It’s sad I’m already hoping we trade down with our top 5 pick to later in the top 10 so can try to keep building this roster out. Still hoping for 5-12 -
Sign me up for 20yard passes all day. I’m just trying to see those chains move. If we can hit 1 of those a quarter this year it will be a vast improvement to what we saw last.
-
I agree with most here. Let him play the whole thing. If we atrocious we will have Beck,Ewers, or Sanders to choose from. I know we wont be great this year, but hoping we are in the 5-7 range to get more help and not the #1 overall pick.
-
That’s on Fitt for being misled. Man gets paid big money to assess talent and couldn’t. It’s not on Bryce that man couldn’t do his job. Will Bryce ever be a star probably not. I still hope he can be a game manager and have some success in the right scheme.

Expecting 5-12. Morgan trades down a few picks for another 2nd rounder and picks 3 day 1 starters to continue out this rebuild.

Should the Carolina Panthers extend Diontae Johnson?
PappyMay replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Michael Pittman just got that a year and had 1100 yard season. The cap continues to move forward. Chris Godwin makes 20 a year and just had a 1,000yd season. May can overpay to keep talent with Legette and Mingo on rookie deals. Who knows if he even pans out but i sure hope so. Hoping to get back to our 5 win normal seasons. -
Should the Carolina Panthers extend Diontae Johnson?
PappyMay replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
My first thought was yes I would like to extend, but next years tag is 24 million for WR and with the explosion of the WR market it could be a fair price. With what Jefferson just got paid and Lamb, Higgins, and Aiyuk pushing the price forward as a whole 24 could be a bargain if he’s a 90 catch 1,000yard receiver like him hoping. I could see Amari Cooper, Mike Williams, Diggs, and Keenan Allan all having sizable contracts too even as they age. Tag him. -
Maybe we I’ll actually hit on our 3rd rd comp picks for him. Would hate to build out a 3-4 roster than swap back to a 4-3 is one of my fears.

Where does Moton rate among the all time CAR o-line players?
PappyMay replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sadly yes. Would love him at 22yr. Over 30 though it gets tough. -

i'm a big Moton fan. Wish we could extend him 1 more year and help ease the cap. I can't imagine him regressing much the next 2 years. -
Watching had me feeling hopeful, but then again I thought we’d be flirting with .500 last year.

Where will the wins come from? (my early predictions)
PappyMay replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
i feel the same way. With what DE's and Corners are getting i'd love Pearce from TN at DE or any of the elite CBs. Travis Hunter, Will Johnson, or Benjamin Morrison.
